A colleagusuggested that I try a dog trainer named Bob Solomini that he had used in the past. His passion and confidence in Bob convinced me and even though I was very skeptical and worn out I decided to give it one last try. I am excited to tell you about my invaluable experience and what I learned from it: -my dog was only a small part of the problem, but the majority of the behavioral problems stemmed from me. Dogs aren't born knowing how to behave the way humans would like them to, so we as responsible dog owners need to teach them. -we don't automatically realize what we are doing wrong and unless a true professional who really cares can teach us the correct way we can't be sure that we will ultimately have a happy relationship with our pet. -after four years of pulling my hair out and stressful walks with my dog I wound up moving to a new neighborhood, and my dog was totally out of control when I walked him. When he saw people with dogs, he went crazy and I could not stop him from barking and pulling. In fact, he pulled me down a couple of times where I sprained my ankle and another time where I hurt my knee. In fact, most of my neighbors walked the other way when they saw us and complained about my dog's bad behavior. After the first lesson, I immediately knew that I had found something different. Humane, focused,, professional, and results driven. I am so lucky that I found all American K-9 and especially Bob Solomini. I love walking my dog now, and all of my neighbors have praised the incredible transformation that they see. This was literally a life-changing experience for my dog and for me. I am so thankful that I found somebody that really knows what they're doing and really cares -not only is Bob a great person, but also the Best dog trainer that I have ever met. I highly recommend this trainer and business to anyone who is serious about having a great dog!

We were convinced that our new pup was the devil incarnate and we were being karmically punished for something horrible we'd done in a past life. Mark offered scheduling options and we opted for him to come to our home for training. We mostly stuck to our schedule, but he was flexible when circumstances changed. The training was fantastic. He provided a curriculum and modified it, when necessary. By the end of the 8 training lessons, our pup was absolutely transformed. Seriously. It's not magic, though. It was up to us to consistently train between lessons. And we did. And we still do. Mark provided exactly what we needed to be successful in understanding and managing our pup's needs, and how to get him to respond to us favorably. Our 11th week with our new pack member is coming to a close and we are so happy that we called Mark to help us through the frustration. We highly recommend his services. Thank you, Mark!

She was food aggressive, she was aggressive with our family - bit all of us at least once - attacked our other two dogs and literally went to the bathroom wherever she preferred. I'm not one to give up on dogs but knew that if we kept her we needed help! We decided that if we were going to work with one of our dogs - we'd also work with our other naughty dog to retrain him of his bad habits. IN THE FIRST SESSION we saw significant changes in their behavior! She is so knowledgeable, so professional, and she got my kids involved so they know what to do! We just finished our last session and I'm so grateful to her for all of the tools she's given our family to help our dogs be the best behaved versions of themselves! The team also sent photo updates and left detailed report cards every single day without fail. Lindsey herself is such a boss when it comes to training and is so so patient and welcoming. All of her own dogs are super patient too and were incorporated into the training sessions to help our little pups get used to being around other dogs. We (pups included) miss Lindsey and TLDSH tremendously!

It's been a month since our…read more4-year-old rescue, Angus, completed his 3-week board and train--and we can confidently say we have a completely transformed dog. When we adopted Angus, an American Bulldog, he was extremely reactive, had zero impulse control, and was tough to manage. Walks were stressful--he would bark, lunge, and completely lose it around other dogs. Recall was non-existent, and previous trainers had little success with him. After his time at CharlieBar, everything changed. Angus now walks calmly on a leash, his reactivity has decreased by at least 90%, and he thrives during his daily training sessions at home. The most remarkable part of Ricardo's approach is that it goes beyond basic commands--he teaches dogs how to think, make decisions, and self-correct. It's not just about punishment or praise; it's about helping dogs understand their choices. With a simple "uh uh," Angus now stops, thinks, and chooses better behavior--without fear or confusion. We're beyond grateful for the results and highly recommend CharlieBar to anyone looking to make a lasting difference in their dog's behavior.

We contacted AZ K9 Academy and Jennifer was available to provide the training. The cost was a bit steep - $496.80 for 4, one-hour sessions - but we felt we would have greater outcomes with personal training, so we booked it. On a positive note, Jennifer was always on time, prepared, pleasant and we trained the entire hour. We learned some basic tools to better assist our pup with walks, being around other dogs, etc. It was during the second training session that things went south. Jennifer wanted to try a collar that she could electronically "buzz" (vibrate) in order to get our pup's attention. We permitted it and with the first buzz, our pup became frantic and was clearly afraid of the buzz. Jennifer said this was "normal" for some pups the first time they feel the vibration. However, with each buzz, things only got worse, so we asked her to stop (she did) and we did our best to end the training on a positive note for our pup (giving her the command to sit, then down and she was rewarded.) The following week, we could not get our pup near the living room (where she had been "buzzed"). When Jennifer came the 3rd and 4th weeks, our pup was clearly afraid of her and was reluctant to do anything near her or with her. Essentially, we lost 2 to 3 weeks of training because of this incident. So we paid a lot of money and got very little training (due to our pup being afraid of Jennifer when she used the buzz collar). Bottom line - we know every pup reacts differently to various situations and when this occurred with our pup, we perhaps felt that AZ K9 Academy should have offered at least one additional week of training to compensate for the lost training days.

Her methodology and approach in explaining the dogs mind and way of thinking after carefully analyzing them during training is by far the best I have seen. Every question gets answered in a well explained way and provides useful tools and instructions for your own personal downtime/follow up training with your dog after the session. We adopted Ahsoka (Belgian Malinois-German Shepard mix) at 4 months of age from a no kill rescue and found out that day there were many issues needing to be addressed - diet, confidence, and just learning how to be a dog. After reaching out, Tanja was quick to respond and set up a complimentary home visit to meet Ahsoka. Tanja built a level of comfort with Ahsoka during that initial visit and showed me immediately how to handle and respond to Ahsoka in order to stop her nervous behavior and acting out (in addition to how to help Ahsoka in diet and nutrition and get the explosive diarrhea under control, getting in and out of the car and taking short rides without the constant vomiting, and next-steps for being in the presence of other humans and their pets without the crazy barking and fear behaviors). When Tanja left, I felt hope again. We have been training with Tanja once a week since the initial visit and have learned so much already. Ahsoka is now going to public places and showing everyone what a sweet girl she really is! Currently, we have her in the 1-week Board-n-Train and were so thrilled to see her attempting play with other dogs for the first time. What an awesome moment to see Ahsoka getting to just be a dog. It has been such a great experience for our family and Ahsoka. She has been able to learn how to become more confident and we are learning how to manage her energy. Hands down I would recommend AZ K9 Academy to anyone who needs to find a great trainer. AZ K9 Academy is well informed, efficient and very professional at this craft. More than five stars for sure - very highly recommended!

Our pet sitter, Karen, was nothing short of amazing--so loving, so attentive, and so patient with our very needy black cat, Jax.
