Outstanding customer service from Mike. Extremely knowledgeable and zero pressure. I spent over an hour there sitting in office chairs (mostly the X-chair) just to make sure I was making the right choice. Mike was patient and didn't make me feel like I had to rush into the very expensive decision. I ended up buying a chair, they assembled it, and it was ready for pick up the next day. I guess it could have been ready same day, but I literally sat in that store right up to closing time. It does seem to be an expensive store overall and their restocking fee is steep (at least the one for chairs that was relevant to me). But - the in-store experience is so thorough. If you are in the market for an X-chair or something even more higher end, it's worth a stop at this store. If anything, you leave more knowledgeable than when you came in. Side note - I picked up the chair at a different location and that guy was also incredibly helpful and friendly. read more

Bought a zero gravity chair in 1999 it was a life saver. It lasted 15 years leather was still decent the padding was totally wore out. For around $2000.00 I guess I got my money's worth. In 2015 I decided to replace it with the same chair now days they have a lot more ways to order it. I bought the best they had. This chair even spent 18 months in storage in a climate controlled space and is now so uncomfortable I can't get comfortable. I'll tell you what. My wife wanted a Tempur-Pedic mattress so I went to their website and researched the mattress that I wanted. Also found out who the authorized dealers were. So Relax The Back was the closest but I came here because they were an Elite Authorized Dealer. Found out an Elite dealer means that they have more sample beds than just an authorized dealer. So we walk in the door. They only have one salesman and they have lots of chairs and desk in the front of the store. Towards the back of the store are the mattresses. I guess the name of the store tells you they are all about the back. The salesman greeted us and showed us the Tempur-Pedic. Our salesman was very informed. Knew a lot about the mattresses. He told a us about the differences between all the different TP mattresses. I really liked the salesman. He didn't pressure us but informed us. Was very patient with us as we laid down on them. I even asked him to help another customer while we decided. We finally decided to get a mattress that wasn't in their showroom but at least we were able to have an idea what we wanted. The reason I came here was not just because they were elite but to sample. Not only that but they have the same service as TP online service. Free white glove delivery and willing to take away our old mattress. They would even move the old mattress to another room if we wanted it. Same service and even the same discounts as Tempur-Pedic online service. I really don't understand why some people said the service was so bad at the store. I would say that they have to understand that there is one salesman. Be patient. The guy knows his product. Give Him a chance to service you. Would I come here for another mattress or desk chair? Of course. Really like there service. Oh yea forgot to mention. They promised to deliver in a week or two. They called me in a week. On the day of delivery, the guy kept on calling me back so I knew what was going on and when they were running late. Even called to inform me when they were on their way. Nice service. While I should be excited about my first trip to a country that does not border the US, I'm not. With back pain lasting a month and counting, all I can think of is a 10-hour plane ride and 10 days riding in a car. Both preferable to having to get up and walk around. But thankfully, there is a store for everything in the Valley. David helped me find a Tempur-Pedic lumbar cushion that I can use until my thoracic spine hurts too much. Then I can switch to my Tempur-Pedic travel pillow until my lumbar spine is done. At that point, I can move to my inflatable pillow that I can use vertically. He also suggested a blunt object to stab in my eye to help me forget about my back when all else fails. Well, not really, that was my idea. I also tried out a few of the Tempur-Pedic beds. Expecting it to feel like the foam mattress pads you buy at Wal-Mart, I was shocked at how comfortable they are and with a 20-year life! It could outlast me. There was one that when adjusted to the right spot, I was virtually pain free. Now, it's just a matter of whether I really want to spend $8000 on a piece of furniture that I will only enjoy when unconscious. It was a really nice bed though. read more

Ive been a fan of this store for many years and this location provided some excellent service. Thoroughly knowledgeable and very accommodating, I will likely be back soon for a sweet office chair. I'm honestly surprised at how good the reviews are for this location. The service received on my visit to the store was abysmal and the service my mom received upon returning the next day was just plain rude. When I called to understand the reason for the rude service, the man who answered and had "helped" us the prior day was extremely unpleasant, refused to hear reason, denied rude comments he made the prior day, did not offer any consultation, and all in all lost a customer for life. I can understand store policies so I won't comment on those, but regardless of a policy I would expect a store would make some attempt to retain customers. I can safely say the management at this location does not understand customer service. I will not be back to this location. I have every intention of speaking to management above this location if this is a possibility. read more

The products here are top notch and the customer service was above & beyond (my already high) expectations. David was very helpful and able to identify the solution for my mom's swollen legs and stability issues (she can no longer risk a fall). He set mom up with a luxurious lift chair AND a top of the line lift bed. My mom lives at an assisted living facility, and is bragging to all her friends about her new furnishing. She is feeling great and I'm so glad we decided to go into the store that Sunday and 'just see what they have'. I purchased a set of Human Touch zero gravity chairs here and enjoy them immensely. The salesman I spoke to was very helpful and accommodating. Only had one issue and that was with helping remove my old couch from my home, and while the salesman stated that he would be able to help, the delivery crew would not take it. David, the owner, went out of his way to contact me to rectify the situation and remove the furniture. If only all business had customer service this good. Will definitely return. read more

Hello, My husband and I were in need of new pillows and specifically wanted pillows to help his sore neck so we visited the Scottsdale, Arizona store this morning at around 11:00 am. Your salesman, Dan, greeted us as we walked in. The store was empty of customers. We told him we were there looking for good pillows for my husband's sore neck. We don't know what was wrong with Dan today but he wasn't at all interested in selling anything in the store. He immediately told us that their pillows are NOT returnable so maybe we should go to Bed Bath N Beyond because they are a large corporation and take returns. My husband and I were shocked as all we said was that we were looking for new pillows. Why did he start talking about returns and tell us to go elsewhere? He then waved us in the direction of the bed and said the pillows were "right there". No he didn't show us the different pillows, ask where my husband's pain was, describe the types of pillows you sell etc.... No he just walked away and left us standing there. I don't think we've ever been treated so rudely. He's driving good customer's away from the store and he's definitely harming your BRAND. There was another male employee in the store and he came over and asked us if we were finding everything OK and I told him, "No Dan told us we should go buy our pillows at Bed Bath N Beyond", this guys says, "OK" and walked away. We left the store and did go elsewhere. And we bought 4 expensive pillows elsewhere. I was also interested in buying my husband a good recliner to help him with his back and neck pain but I won't be buying it from the Relax the Back store. If I were you I'd go to the Phoenix store instead. read more
