They were able to accommodate me last minute, which I really appreciated. As the parent of a new baby my back was destroyed from various carrying and consoling over the past 10 months. This was the first massage I've had in a while where the pressure was so solid I had to ask them to lighten up. I much prefer that to having to constantly ask for more pressure and feeling like I'm not getting the most of my massage. But at relax I always leave with that "it hurt so good" feeling. I've been to numerous foot massage/body work spas and this was completely unprofessional and bizarre. The person giving the massage seemed untrained and ended up bruising my neck due to vigorously rubbing up and down as if to generate heat on my back and neck. There was no care in trying to create a relaxing environment as the door was opened and slammed shut 4x times to retrieve hot towels. The massager's phone also went off two times with her ringtone on and she picked up both times while trying to massage with one hand. I could go about so many things that were uncomfortable (at times straight painful) and lacking in professionalism and care. Alright folks... I'm currently sitting in a chair at my normal go to local massage spot near my home and it reminded me to write a review of a massage experience I had this past fall... you ready? I was desperate. We were (and still are) deep into Covid and all the normal locations are closed. I usually get one a month along with my back adjustment at the Chiro but since the hours there are also messed up, I had not been in a while. I was working an extra shift at work and the old lower back pain kicked in gnar gnar so it was go time. After calling around, I found this spot. It wasn't exactly on the way home but not out of the way either so it worked. Plus the reviews were decent. On top of that I thought it was cool they were still open despite these stupid lockdowns. Anyway... I call and they said they had an opening. Red flag? Think about it. All the massage spots are closed ...they are open... why? Anyway. I arrive early and walk up front. No one is there and the front looks like they're going through some kind of rearrangement of property or some biz. Anyway, I was abruptly greeted by an older male gentleman who was shocked to see me. He then took my order (90min full body oil). The gent disappears into the back of the room and comes out a few minutes later. He guides me to one of the rooms (solo rooms) and asks if its my first time there. I said yea and for whatever reason this caught him off guard. Instead of taking me to a back room as we walked, he flipped a u-turn and walked me to the front room. Red flag? Idk but stay tuned. After disrobing (all the way - I havent had a massage any other way and am a veteran by now and dont find it awkward at all) An equally older lady appears. She seems cheery enough and advises me that due to covid restrictions she can only do 1 hour not 90 minutes. Fine... that makes no sense but okay. When she says this, she places her 3 fingers into the top of the arch of my left butt cheek and leans into my ear with a thick accent. I find her hand placement playfully funny for an older (55+ year old) lady and at the same time more or less for stabilization - i am (31) at this time, in good shape. I came in here because the sign said "relax foot spa." I wanted a great foot massage. I should have known when they showed me the price sign and it was all body massage that I was in trouble. I cannot speak for their body massage ability but the foot massage is beyond terrible. First, it was ridiculously expensive. Most Asian places charge $35 or $40 for an hour foot massage and they do 75% foot but a little shoulders, head, etc. this place was $60!!! The massage itself was the worst I've ever had. I asked for strong pressure so they gave me a guy which is usually great. But he brought in what looks like a cleaning bucket and had me put my feet on it while I was laying on a massage bed. They don't have the usual foot massage chair/bed combos. He tapped my thighs and knees as my feet soaked awkwardly on the table. Then he dried my feet and started massaging but it was barely more than a rub. I asked him for more pressure. he left the room and came back and started poking my feet hard with something very sharp. It felt like the eraser end of a pencil. Not even worth my time to talk about the terrible experience here. I won't go back. If you specialize in body massage and that is what you are good at then why do you have your sign that says you are a foot spa but you don't know how to rub feet correctly????? read more

We are here often. Often enough with a family of four. They have a Yelp Check-in for $5 off combo. I know it existed because I was looking at it since 10 am. I came in with a check in and it was counting down to use. This guy behind the counter said, no no (with little English) got on his phone did something to his Yelp account, pushed my check-in and it disappeared. He said, "no you no check-in". Uh, yes I did!! I saw it, you saw it too! He says fine, no stamp. If my body wasn't in so much pain and I like Tina, I'd take my business elsewhere. Dude! Be honest. Run an honest business. Update: I posted this review while I was still there. Not even 2 seconds, the guy comes around from behind the desk to show me my review, "you lady?" See!! He was on his Yelp account taking down his "Check-in" after I showed him my check-in countdown. He threw his phone on the desk and said, "no good". Yes! It's no good business for sure! I asked for my $ back. He slammed it on the counter. Why would you do this to your customers for $5? It's the principle for your customers. Your repeat customer nonetheless. Run an honest business. Why can't Yelp have 0 Stars. And what can Yelp do with dishonest business owners like this guy? Update to my update: this gets BETTER!! Message I received from the owner, see pic. Check-in was discontinued "couple months ago" and I haven't used my Yelp account for a long time "so no update". First, the guy behind the desk says, "expire Dec 10 no check in". Which is it, "couple months ago" or "Dec 10". We both saw that check-in clock counting down. And, second, I am a Yelper. I rely on Yelp for good business recommendations. I had a Sunday eve combo massage. Deep massage with stones. $50 for an hour. Linda was the masseuse. She had perfect pressure! She was assertive and firm...loved it. She used her forearm a lot. I hadn't had a massage for many months and it was just what I wanted. I needed the human touch! She did have to answer the phone 3 times during the session with her earpiece to set up appts for her spa, but she spoke softly and kept on massaging. I guess ya gotta do what ya gotta do during this pandemic to keep the doors open...doing double duty as the receptionist and masseuse didn't bother me too much. I called at 11:0@ am for a same day appt at 4 pm and was able to get one. I paid $60 for a 90 min combo massage (body 60 mins/30 mins foot). The massage was firm (Which I like) and at the time felt great, but the next morning I was sore-a good sore. The 30 minute foot massage was kind of weak but overall the experience was okay. One thing that annoyed me was the hole in the massage table was covered with sheets and at times I had a hard time breathing because you're wearing your mask and there're sheets in the hole, so you're somewhat suffocating. In times like this, if you want a massage and don't want to catch covid I guess you'll have to suffer a little bit. I'd definitely be back, the prices are worth it. We made our appointment for 8pm & arrived on time but were asked to return at 8:30pm. That was fine. Gave me time to buy myself a slice of birthday cake. So the masseuse asked me to remove all of my clothing and to get under the sheet. She gave me a deep tissue massage, as well as; a hot stone massage. So my wife and I just got done with a foot massage today that also included a head, back, shoulder massage! The massage lasted 1 hour and was only $25! Honestly you can beat the price. My wife and I enjoyed the massage and are feeling great right after it! I could definitely tell he was getting the knots out and it may have hurt just a little (lol I'm a little guy) but afterwards my shoulders feel amazing. The place was in a strip mall and was clean. The prices are crazy cheap and you probably won't fine anything less! They massaged us in an open area which consisted of 4 beds, you can ask for a private room if preferred. They start by putting your feet in a warm soak which felt good and then they began massaging your temple and shoulders. After they began massaging your feet and to finish they massage your back. After the massage they gave us a card that after 10 massages you get $20 dollars which is basically a free massage! My wife and I will most likely be back here to enjoy another massage! I decided to try this place out from the Yelp reviews and was quite satisfied! I get regular monthly deep tissue massages and this will stay on the places to go when in Santa Ana/Tustin area. The parlor was very clean with a good ambience that is nicer than others I've been to. I got the $45 one-hour full body deep tissue massage and was able to come in within a half hour on a Saturday afternoon (I always recommend calling ahead to check first and make an appointment though). The massage pressure was good. Though the massage therapist did hit all areas of the body, it did tend to focus more on the back and shoulder as a default even though I had requested focus on other stress areas too (i.e. neck). However, it was more than made up for by the fact that they include hot stones into the one-hour full body massage which other places do not do. He also did a great job when I asked for my hands to be done. Definitely worth a try if you enjoy massages and a great place to go to if it's your first time getting a massage! read more

However, I figured here is not Burke Williams and I didn't expect much and I just wanted a quick massage anyways. And I agree with other reviewers about the tipping culture here. The entire massage was done with her elbow (which I hate) and then when I went to pay the prices were raised by $20. When I asked when the price increased, she said she can't understand me. They also do a one hour full body massage for $40. The place was really nicely decorated and very clean. I've been to quite a few of these type of asian foot spas and I have to say this one was one of the nicest. The lady who did my massage was really great and used just the right amount of pressure. I wasn't expecting much anyway since I've not had many good cheap massage experiences but cost here was more than the average foot massage place. The face pad you lay your face on isn't very comfortable. Had to adjust throughout the massage so my face wouldn't hurt. the hole isn't that big so half my face was smushed into the pad. When it came to my feet, it was more of a rub than a massage. Didn't like the smell of the liquid they use to "oil" your facial or back massage. It may not have been scented but may have been the smell of her hands. My masseuse yawned at least 7 times throughout the hour. If she were near my face, I could smell her breathe. I had hoped for a slightly more professional experience. Do not expect a targeted massage. I'd prefer getting a hiatsu massage for better results. read more

I've been to this place probably 6-7 times, but I'm going to try to avoid coming back unless other places are full. The foot massage is fine, pretty standard among the various places in town. And this place is a little smaller than the others, so I like supporting them. BUT, three times I reserved a female, but when I showed up they said only a male was available. The first time I just figured oh well, mistakes happen, and I stayed. The second time I left. The third time, I asked when reserving, "Are you SURE you have a female available, last time I showed up and you didn't" and they said yes. Then as I drove in I called to make sure and they said yes. I actually had to to stop the masseuse half way through because it was so unenjoyable. First of all the room had a terrible smell. Like bad breath. It was hard to ignore. I could only breathe through my mouth for so long. There was no air conditioning so I was sweating the entire time. The masseuse kept clearing his throat and sighing. I felt like he had no clue what he was doing. He was just slapping me around. I asked him to add more pressure thinking that would help and he started digging his thumbs into my neck and back. Made an appointment for a one hour massage. Everything turned out great. My masseuse was Linda, and she did a fantastic job. I had cervical spine surgery done on my neck years ago, and have a real bad back and I told her to be careful. And she was. I've gone to other places and have told them, and it's like they don't understand or care. But like I said the massage turned out awesome. Had hot stones used for the first time, and it felt really soothing and relaxing. I've been here a few times and every time it seems to get better and better. Where do I start, I messaged the "owner" through yelp and asked about availability for July 15th 2017. He messaged Me back and said he had an opening at 1230pm on this date. So we get there today and the guy sitting there asks me for my info. I give him my name and number and still can't "find" me. We waited for about 20 minutes until I finally told him I would reschedule for a different day. He again asks if I called it in and I said "no. I spoke to the owner through the yelp messaging system" and then I say its fine I'll reschedule for Friday and WITHOUT looking at his little "appointment book" he says "we're full. Nothing available." And I ask for a different day and he says "just call us later". How ridiculous is that?
