I came in for the combination 60min full body Swedish massage + 30min foot massage package. Michelle was my masseuse she did a fantastic job. I have a tight upper back/shoulder due to weightlifting, and she was able to get into the knots with just enough force without causing immense pain. The place is also extremely clean for a massage spa, which is rare. There was no force-tipping that many spas impose nowadays, and that made the experience a lot more comfortable. We are frequent visitors to the Relax Ave Day Spa in Livermore so my wife recently used a $15 foot massage Groupon to check out their new Dublin location. Not only did she rave about her experience, she booked a free 30-minute birthday foot massage (valued at $20) for me a few days after my birthday. I arrived a few minutes early for my 7 pm appointment half expecting there to be some catch, but there wasn't one. They verified my email confirmation and ID and then I was gently ushered into a dimly lit room filled with soothing music. I was the only patron, maybe because it was late Friday evening. My masseuse - Alice - guided me to a cavernous leather chair. While my feet soaked in comfortably hot water, she reclined the chair and gave me a scalp, neck and shoulder massage! Then she worked on my feet, calves and knees, occasionally asking if the pressure was ok, but otherwise letting me enjoy the experience without undue small talk. I was so relaxed I almost fell asleep! At the end, she offered me water, and let me linger for a few more minutes till I was ready to leave. There was no pressure for a tip (though I did tip her $10 because she did such a good job) or anything else, just a simple "Thank You for coming" - I guess that's how you bring someone back! read more

I've been to both branches, Dublin and Livermore. Both super clean and peacefully relaxing. Both times I requested for acupressure tx from Brian Diao. His hands worked magic on my entire body. I was dropping off my daughter for her appt in Livermore at another office & the receptionist noticed I was in.pain. She recommended Relax Avenue nearby while. My back was so painful I could hardly straighten up when I first get out of the car. I was also standing with spine tilted to the right. after 70 mins with Brian, I Could stand straight and back spasms gone. I was warned not to twist my upper body and I had to recline the car seat to keep my back more relaxed. Good thing my husband was driving. 2 days later, I went back for 90 mins session with same therapist. This time in the Dublin branch. Why have I waited almost a year to come back?!! I just had a 90 minute combination massage with Michelle and it was the best massage I've had in a long time!! My 30 minute foot massage and 60 minute deep tissue was relaxing and relieving at the same time. I love a deep tissue massage that's almost a little painful as my knots and sore areas get worked out. Terrible customer service. None of the people who work there speak any English. Nothing racial; I am not a native speaker either but when you're running a business, you just have to be able to communicate with your clients. When I asked to use the bathroom before my appointment they flat out said no. Just "no". When I asked the masseur to not do a specific thing, he didn't understand, when I asked him to to a specific thing, he didn't understand. The best part was when I was leaving I wanted to tip $5 -that's all I had, and I had seen fit tbh- the lady at the checkout didn't like it. I realize it's not much but that's what you get for bad service and it's horribly rude to scoff at someone's money. You wouldn't know if someone saved up for a special treat and that's all they can afford. Never returning. read more

I love this place so much. This place is easily comparable to large spas like Glen Ivy and it's so affordable. They are sometimes booked out an entire day so you'll have to do a little bit of planning and you can't just have an impromptu massage but that just goes to show how great they are. I used to ask for a specific masseuse but I was desperate for a massage one day and my guy wasn't available so I went with someone else and it was equally as great. I usually get a combination foot and Swedish massage. Depending on my mood, I'll add essential oils and/or hot stones. I highly recommend this place! read more

This time I came to Relax Ave Day Spa for just a simple 30 min foot massage because I just came back into town from days of walking at the San Diego Zoo and Legoland and my feet needed a massage badly. Sadly to say this massage experience was pathetic and not even worth my money! I'm a male and when a man needs a foot massage then that means it's serious attention to detail. I had an amazing Swedish massage here with a male masseuse right before SIP started in March. He was great at working through the chronic neck and shoulder knots I am dealing with and I can't wait to get back in once things start opening up. We made same day appointments for two and had no trouble getting scheduled, which was great because sometimes it's hard to nail down childcare, so I appreciated that. I've visited many times and have had mixed experiences, often excellent. Yesterday, however, I could smell a woman's perfume on the massage bed/headrest while getting a massage. It hurt so good! I'd never had a deep tissue massage before. Got a couple's deep massage. The facility is super clean and relaxing, decor appropriate and nice. Everyone we encountered was really nice. I love that they also keep a quiet atmosphere, even whispering to greet us when we walked in. Lol. Prices are comparable to everywhere else. If you want a relaxing massage, do not do the deep tissue. It hurts at least 75% of the time. Lol. But I needed it. Only small "issue" I had was that my masseuse was a smoker, and I could smell hints of his cigarette use as soon as he walked in, and then when I was on my back, I could smell it on his breath. Very clean and soothing environment, and lovely customer service! The spa has been operating through Covid-19 with every precaution, which puts my mind at ease, allowing me to continue to thoroughly enjoy my massages. I see them take their time to make sure everything is clean, towels are changed, things are wiped down between each customer -- I even saw the receptionist lady wiping down the waiting area chairs on my way out a couple times! Everyone is wearing masks, social distancing between different appointments, and lots of hand sanitizer is available. I've been going to both their Livermore and Dublin locations for years and always have wonderful massages. Their prices are very reasonable for the quality of service they provide, and every massage therapist I've had has been terrific -- making sure the pressure is comfortable, focusing on my problem areas, and ensuring my experience is all-around excellent! I particularly love their chair and Swedish massages -- the knots and soreness from sitting in front of a computer all day are gone after every visit. Highly recommend purchasing their packages since you'll want to keep coming, and remember to tip well -- all of the tip goes directly to your massage therapist! There is plenty of parking, windows are tinted, lights are dimmed, soothing music is played for a more relaxing experience. It's best to call and book an appointment since some days are busier than others, especially nowadays since they have limited occupancy due to covid, but I've walked in a few times earlier in the week with no problem at all! After running a half marathon with ZERO training, I was feeling pretty sore, even several days later. I booked a 30 minute deep tissue massage here in the hopes I could loosen some of the knots keeping me up at night. I was definitely not disappointed! The place is clean, relaxing, and the staff is friendly. The only reason I didn't give it a full 5 stars is because the woman giving the massage occasionally dug her elbow into my shoulder blade, spine, and ribs. It didn't happen enough for me to say something but there were times I wondered what she was doing... Overall I feel great after, and the head massage and hot towel at the end was a nice touch. This place blew my expectations AWAY! I called for 1 hour swedish massage on a Sunday afternoon for two, and they were able to fit us in right away as a couple's massage. Michelle was the best! She worked through all my knots .. literally have not felt so relaxed in years. Plus she was also super friendly throughout the entire process. Relax Ave Day Spa Dublin is in a very remote location, but it is close to the Dublin Bart station (not walking distance) and a couple other stores like Target and Gamestop. Very disappointed. I am from Livermore, and came to this place because of the 5 start reviews. My husband and I had a 90 minute combination massage. When booked I was told the masseuse was going to be a female and male I said yes, because I feel more comfortable with a female and my husband enjoys the pressure a male masseuse can provide. When we got told to go inside for our massage it was two males, who hardly spoke English. The massage was not relaxing, nor enjoyable and didn't get any relief. I will not be coming back to this place and am disappointed in the quality of the massage given the price. read more

Amazing!!! Had my first massage in years, Saw the September special (neck/ shoulder & massage for $30. I jumped on that. In my line of work I'm on my feet all day. Lost of pain at times. So I treated myself to the relaxing spa special. Although I found it hard to not talk I was so relaxed by the soft music, dim lights and very relaxing massage. The place is clean, comfortable and extremely relaxing. And Summer did an amazing job at getting to the deep muscle knots in my shoulders that I didn't know I had. I would defiantly be back. The wife and I have always gone to the one in Livermore, but since we were in Dublin for some shopping (more like me just tagging along as the bag man and chauffeur), the wife wanted a Swedish massage. The plan was for her to get her massage while I hang out and do work in the lobby on the phone. That only lasted about 20 minutes as one of the masseuses came out from the back and told me my wife said for me to get a foot massage instead of waiting around the lobby looking like a stalker...well okay...I guess. I admit to being a workaholic...but definitely not a stalker. That wasn't the original plan, but you do things if you don't like boredom (yes I admit it). Anyway...sat down and continued with my phone, but quickly had to put it away because there is no way in hell I could stay awake with one of the best foot massages I have every experienced. It was dim, music was going on, and I don't think I would have lasted past the 10 minute mark without catching myself snore (yes..that is embarrassing). Everything was perfect and I forgot about Monday's meetings and the several projects that have been dumped on me due to the lack of personnel at work. The wife actually finished her massage before I was done so it was her turn to wait and be bored (hey it was her idea for me to get a foot massage in the first place...haha..it's my time now...now suffer...LOL). On the way home the wife and I compared notes about the place. It was well run, very clean (seen masseuses constantly changing linen and towels). They were always attentive and seemed to be very aware of social distancing and the wearing of face masks aspects of the new normal of "business as normal" processes these day (good job people and well done). Anyway...no issue recommending this place in Dublin (as well as the one in Livermore). We didn't have an appointment and sort of walked in, but they were still able to accommodate us. I think next time we will call in for an appointment and then go out and do the shopping afterwards (reverse of what we did) as that would of made me not care if I was a bag man and or chauffeur for the wife:). read more

I openly admit that I can be cheap when it comes to massages; I tend to aim for these Asian-Operated ones because they have AWESOME DEALS. But sometimes the trade offs are REALLY regrettable. But not at this place!!! PROS They were very accommodating and as scheduled a same-day couples massage. They offered a great deal at this time: couples 60-min Swedish body massage for $100. They were flexible and allowed my hubby to get the special deal but I modified mine by opting for the 60-min combo. The combo is 30-min body and 30-min foot massage. I highly recommend doing it in that sequence so you can relax in the bathrobe while getting your feet massaged. Foot water temperature was perfect. CONS The headrest on my massage bed had an exposed metal rod that my jaw kept pressing into. I meant to mention it but forgot to do so. Hopefully they will read this and address it. Had a massage here about 2 weeks ago and it was definitely relaxing! Made an appointment for a deep tissue 60-min session over the phone about 2 days prior and was asked for gender preference of the masseuse. Called back because I made the mistake of booking at the Livermore location. I was reassured of the correction and also given confirmation. I walked in the day of my massage appointment about 30 mins early, at 2:30pm instead of 3pm. The front associate warmly greeted and asked for the name and inquired again about my preference for male or female masseuse. After giving her my preference and paying for the massage, I was given the option to tip now or later. I informed her that I would tip afterwards. I was asked to sit and wait in the front area and then directed shortly to the massage room. Once in the room, I was given quick instructions to take off, hang clothes and put valuables on the given counter space. The masseuse knocked on my he door after a few moments to confirm entering the room and the start of the massage. Deep Tissue Massage for 60 mins (4.5/5): Slow to start as the female masseuse introduced herself and gently worked her hands to my neck, shoulders, feet and hands. After about 15 mins of putting on lotion and/or oils, she proceeded to gradually press into my back and shoulders as she gaged my pressure tolerance and found my sore spots in my right shoulder and back. I give her credit for doing a tremendous amount of elbow and circulation in those highly tense areas. At the end, I felt refreshed and truly uplifted. Thanks Jenny! Overall, would recommend a deep tissue massage from Jenny! And remember to bring cash for tipping your masseuse in person. Booked a 1 hr Swedish Massage for $68. Easy online booking however, you will not necessarily get the therapist you booked with so call to confirm. I booked with Elaine but when I got there, she wasn't available. That wasn't a big deal to me since it was my first time and I ended up with John. John was great! He made sure pressure was good throughout the massage. The massage itself was great - he used long, slow strokes unlike other places that massage you like they're washing dishes. My husband and I have been going to Relax Day Spa for about 3 years. Went there today for the first time since they reopened and it felt incredibly great after the first massage in 6 months! They are opened indoor with limited capacity. The masseur had his mask on the whole time. They have an air purifier in the main room. Sheet were used to covered the chair and changed in between customers. They no longer provide blankets likely because the blankets are not washable. Michelle is usually my favorite but she only works on weekend now. John did the foot massage for me today and he was just as good. It's great to see their long term masseurs still working there. Please don't forget to tip generously. The business and the masseurs were hit hard during this pandemic. Hope they can continue to provide good service! read more
