The hospitality was truly unmatched. Raffaele especially went above and beyond, not only for us, but for everyone staying at the hotel. You could tell that he genuinely cared about making sure every guest had an amazing experience, and his warmth and attention to detail made our stay even more memorable. We also loved all of the special touches that make this hotel feel so personal and unique. Elena's homemade pastries at breakfast were absolutely incredible and were such a wonderful way to start each morning. Everything felt thoughtful and authentic rather than like a typical hotel experience. I also want to give a special shoutout to all of the staff who made our experience so incredible. Everyone was incredibly sweet, thoughtful, and attentive, and they were always willing to help in any way they could. Their kindness and genuine care truly made our stay even more special. The pool was absolutely perfect, and one of our favorite things about Capri Wine Hotel is that it only has 10 rooms. The intimate atmosphere, combined with the younger crowd, made it so easy to meet other guests and enjoy time together by the pool. We even ended up spending evenings together at the hotel for dinner, which made our honeymoon feel even more special. And dinner was another highlight, the food was AMAZING. We loved it so much that we ate dinner at the hotel twice during our stay! We honestly could not have asked for a better honeymoon hotel. Capri Wine Hotel exceeded every expectation, and we left feeling like we had stayed somewhere truly special rather than simply booked a hotel. This is easily our favorite hotel we have EVER stayed at, and in my opinion, it should be rated #1 hotel on the island of Capri. We cannot recommend it enough and already are planning our trip back!

The rooms are comfortable and clean with both a sunny terrace and a balcony which has amazing views back to the mainland. The grounds are beautiful with lots of places to sit and curl up with your book or have a glass of wine and just look at the view. All the staff incredibly friendly, warm and welcoming. You feel that they really want you there. Location is only five minutes walk to Capri town centre so really easy to get to. And finally, the breakfast. We have been in Italy for two months and hands down the best breakfast. The omlettes are delicious. I had the broccoli one three days in a row (which isn't actually broccoli as we know it in North America - more like rapini). And those cakes!!!!! Good thing we were three days because having two pieces of cake in the morning on top of an omlette is a bit much LOL. The coffee is delicious along with the fresh orange juice. Just a wonderful stay. It is just an oasis and we highly recommend. (And I think this is the longest review I have ever written but it deserves it).

It was a little awkward traffic backed up, but we found this to be normal in Italy. The hotel is also right next to the light rail (train) line that takes you into Napoli or Sorrento. Once here, we did most of our traveling around on that train line. The Hotel is VERY clean, and smells good! The host team was exceptionally friendly! Our room faced the back, and had no really good view, but that was not important to us. The AC worked well. the beds were clean and free of bed bug sign. Our kids got a bunk bed they liked to use! I think it is modular and can be moved to any room it is needed. The bathroom has nice amenities. Including a towel warmer... Which I did not know I needed :) The Breakfast they served was the best ever! local food, nice environment, large window facing Napoli Bay and Mt. Vesuvius. We looked forward to breakfast every morning. Vico Equense was fantastic! This was the best place we stayed on our trip!

The hotel faces the hill side filled with homes and churches and also looks out to the Bay of Naples and Mt. Vesuvias. It is an easy walk to the beach - though the beach isn't very happening after the summer time. On our first day, we got a regular standard room with a balcony facing the town. It faced the gas station and the train station. It was a clean room but super noisy because of where the room was situated. It was in between rooms and I could hear doors slamming and neighbors talking. If you are sensitive to noise, I wouldn't recommend getting this room. We changed rooms the next day and they gave us one that was tucked in the corner and not sandwiched in between rooms. The sound situation was much better and I slept so much better the next night. I happened to pass the ocean view room during house keeping and saw the beautiful view. We asked the front desk to upgrade and paid the extra fees. It was a spectacular room. If this room is available, I highly recommend getting it. It faces out to the ocean and it is pretty big. The bathroom is pretty large too. I loved the patio area where it faces the bay. You get a pretty amazing view. The breakfast every morning was very nice. They had plenty of food and a good selection. The front desk people were all very very nice. They tried to accommodate us to the best that they could. It would be a five star hotel in my book but the noise factor was a problem for me. I highly recommend staying here.

Lush garden up front w/ benches and tables, pool with terrace out back offering up some beautiful views of the water and hill side. + Modern finishes in the lobby - all white & beige everything - marble floors, clean and comfy sofas, beautiful white flowers on each table. + Friendly staff at the front desk. + Generous size guest rooms with french doors and comfy beds. + Lovely room finishes. Our room was covered in a pretty sage green tile. It felt very Capri to me. + Working air conditioning! + Nice breakfast with a variety of baked goods. A bit crowded when all 3 tour groups came down for breakfast at the same time though... the staff did their best to keep up with the demand though. + Free WiFi. Log in code available at the front desk. Of course not everything is going to be perfect... - Our french doors led to a terrace.... and a brick wall. - Why is it that the largest bathroom features the smallest shower I've ever seen? Literally a 2x2 box with sliding doors and a 1' opening making it verrrrry difficult to get in and out. This shower was not designed for curvy tourists! Oh and there was no where to put shampoo or soap... - Leaking/dripping ceiling. We stayed at La Residenza for two nights. Both mornings we woke up to a soaking wet tile floor due to a leak in the ceiling. I let the front desk know and the first day and when we left the ceiling was still leaking.

Given those expectations, La Residenza is like a trip to opposite world, where up is down, cats are dogs, Italy has a good economy, and I've suddenly been turned into a thinner, younger man with a full head of hair and a pleasing demeanor. La Residenza is the type of hotel one should be staying in when visiting Italy. It has an amazing view, a pool, and for the first time on my trip, actual functioning climate control. The walls are all white. It's chaotically built, but still beautiful to look at. La Residenza was not the first good hotel of my Globus tour in Italy, it was the second, but that would be two good hotels out of seven. They weren't all bad, I admit, but few really instilled me which such comfort that I'd actually consider staying there again on a repeat journey. I can't speak for the cuisine, because outside of two breakfasts, I didn't eat much at La Residenza. Those meals weren't bad, and I enjoyed the impeccable view of Capri. The outdoor seating is exquisite with many of the guests spending their evenings poolside. Though some rooms can bask in the scenery of the island, most unfortunately look into a wall. Pressing the switch next to the metal drapes reveals a pair of French doors opening onto your own personal segment of a huge communal balcony. The idea is unique though a tad confusing. You could basically enter your room via the balcony doors as there's a path to the road as well as well as to the pool. The room itself is a little on the snug side. The bathroom was tiny, the beds were a little stiff, and like everywhere else on this journey, far too small. But Capri was the first time I felt the Globus tour was finally showing the best Italy had to offer. Every side tour was included. The dinner on the second day was good. And for one, the hotel was impressive. For the first time, the air conditioning was actually working. When we left a five euro tip on the first night, when we returned on the second day, we found more towels than we could use, slippers on our beds, and extra bottles of water. Now that's service. With the other hotels, a similar tip only had the staff doing their jobs, but at La Residenza, they really pulled out all the stops. Despite having numerous issues with the Globus tour itself, I had no problem with my time in Capri, and much of that was due to the great hotel we stayed at. Of all the places in Italy, I want to return to Capri the most.

Really enjoyed this place while waiting for my family.

The staff at the pool is also very welcoming and attentive. Francesco does everything with such delight, and that's how employees should work. He actually wants to be here to help out. Anyways the lunch at the pool area is also delicious. I recommend the shrimp avocado salad and the king prawns. Loved it. The breakfast is so delicious as well. Very fresh. It's more of a continental buffet, but you can order from the menu as well. The omelette I ordered with prosciutto and tomatoes was amazing. The coffee spectacular. The view of the hotel is nothing like I've seen before. So beautiful, you can see the mountainside and the ocean at the same time. It's also a quiet hotel, where everyone respects that. Perfectly vintage as well. The rooms are very clean and the staff does a very good job at keeping it that way. One criticism I have is that the concierge were not that helpful in helping us make reservations with restaurants. They should've tried more I feel. Other than that that we had a beautiful stay! The have breakfast and lunches served on site and a lovely infinity pool and sun deck that feels private and lovely. My family had the best time staying here and only wished we could've stayed longer.
