Brian Stolley forced me to lie naked on the treatment table with just a small paper towel sized mat covering me while he haphazardly lasered parts of my body that had nothing to do with my treatment area. When I protested because I was uncomfortable with him being in the room while I was naked, he cancelled my treatment and said he was just going to test laser settings on all these different parts of my body. He will pretend to see things or not see things on your skin to gaslight you when you notice his erratic carelessness. The staff pretend they do this "for your safety." This place is a joke. If MediSpa Maui truly cared about safety or consent, they could simply hire competent practitioners who are diligent, skilled, well-trained and good at their jobs. You don't need some idiot "medical director" barging in pretending to oversee treatment of naked women to ensure medical safety. Hire competent staff and trust them to do their jobs. Stop violating people's boundaries, it's creepy and unprofessional bordering medical misconduct. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Go anywhere else, this place sucks.

However, almost five years later, it's darker, has smudged, migrated and is thicker on one eye. On May 3rd 2020, I contacted Emmi to express my concerns. She never responded. I have been using soft pink and flesh colored eyeliner makeup to cover it. After many consultations and research, I decided on laser removal. This was an incredibly painful procedure and left me swollen with black eyes and my eyelashes turned white and fell out. I'll know more in a few weeks whether I need another round of laser or if I can live with the residual. Two MD's who specialize in in cosmetic and laser procedures informed me most likely ink was used instead of pigment, which fades. Emmi is a very nice person with a gorgeous salon. I originally (2016) posted a rave review on Yelp because I loved my new eyeliner. I've since removed that review after realizing that after 4+ years, my eyeliner is not fading and isn't going to. I never would have done this if I knew it was literally "permanent" and does NOT fade.
