I had a beef steak that was so tender it melted in my mouth. Came with a wonderful German salad! My husband had the pork cheek medallions with a cubes of a bread stuffing. Delicious! Then we had dessert! Wow again. Had the hot plum sauce with a soft cake Ans plum sorbet. Amazing. And our waiter Miche! Pronounced Mike for us! He was an excellent waiter. Helped us with ordering in German and made excellent recommendations! Planning to go back before we fly out from Munich! Highly recommend the restaurant and the lodging very nice and convenient to be able to eat dinner and breakfast at same location as lodging.

Had a nice beer and the lunch portion pork knuckle and also ordered the weisswurst. Everything was cooked perfectly, food was served quickly, and the atmosphere is just what you'd expect from a Bavarian restaurant. Service is good also. The food was great it was not as salty as the other places we visited in Munich(e.g Hofbrau Haus, Austiner). We had the schnitzel, roasted duck and shweinshaxe. All very good, The schnitzel was very tasty and tender. The roast duck was moist and not gamey; very savory and succulent. The schweinshaxe was tender but kept the integrity of the skin was intact and crispy. The service was great because we arrived in between lunch and dinner. But it was pretty busy in the "cafe " area. It seems the servers were from university; students working as a side hustle. The ambiance was that of a beer hall with a hunter's motif very cozy in the area we were seated (the right side of the building as you enter the door.
