First, the included breakfast buffet was very nice, both from the location point of view, as well as the food quality. The breakfast rom is on the main floor, with nice windows out to the terrace. A nicely furnished , bright and happy room. The breakfast choices were the standard hot and cold brunch-type buffet. My husband was happy with the buns, cheeses, sausage and hams - all better than usual quality. I was happily surprised to see them making the scrambled eggs from scratch, rather than from a mix. Add crispy American style bacon and sausages, along with decent OJ and you have a happy guest. The room itself (supposedly a double), was terrible. It did not feel clean, was teeny, and one of the 2 chairs had chunks out of it. There was supposed to be a mini bar, but apparently they took them all out leaving an empty cabinet with a little basket on top with 2 bags of chips and a chocolate bar for the usual exorbitant prices. If you wanted pop or water, you had to buy them from the front desk staff (very strange). The worst part was the bathroom, which was very very small - to sit on the toilet, you hit your knees on the door or the toilet paper dispenser. Not very clean either. And the most laughable part is their elevator. A typical European elevator, which supposedly holds 4 people - RIGHT?! This one had such a small door opening that our suitcase would not fit through, so we had to lug it upstairs. Not sure why their lobby had luggage carts?? I would never stay here again.

We were actually given a room across the street in the Chalet, but you need to check in and out in the hotel itself. Lots of parking right in front of the hotel, and you could go down into their underground parking lot as well for no charge. Our room was three sections - one section with a bed/desk/tv and then another section with 3 beds, with the bathroom entrance located between the two sections. They leave little packs of gummy bears on the pillows which was a fun surprise! The ceiling height is low, which didn't bother us as we aren't exceptionally tall, but it does make it a little claustrophobic. One set of windows opened up to the park behind the Chalet which was a nice view, the other was right on the road in front of the rooms. The bathroom window faced the road so you couldn't throw open the window to cool the room off after a shower, etc. With no air conditioning it can get stuffy if you aren't willing to leave the road side windows open all night. The fixtures in the bathroom were definitely dated and a little worn, we dealt with it but it might give me second thoughts were I to stay again. The breakfast was delicious! Wonderful selection of breads, fruits, meats and cheeses, and BACON! First time we have seen that on our trip and really made our morning. You could eat in the dining room or outside on their patio which made for a joyous way to start a beautiful summer day. The hotel has a dining room, but they were also very close to other restaurants in the area which was nice. Dachau is about a 15 minute drive away. Can't beat the location or the breakfast, so I would recommend a stay here!
