All very good, The schnitzel was very tasty and tender. The roast duck was moist and not gamey; very savory and succulent. The schweinshaxe was tender but kept the integrity of the skin was intact and crispy. The service was great because we arrived in between lunch and dinner. But it was pretty busy in the "cafe " area. It seems the servers were from university; students working as a side hustle. Ive now come upon a new favorite; the Berline Weisse. Light color, tart, complex fruity palate and still a good punch of abv. The Briem 1809 Berliner Weisse is a great example of this beer in a bery traditional style. Flavorful and refreshing, great by itself and even better with salty fatty foods.

The weather had turned on us and the late September drizzle was a helluva thing to suffer through, dragging a bag through a train station and getting by on a pastry to make good time. The luck to land at Die Weisse after our unnatural fast was the best part of the day and fueled us to push onward in the rain and see what else Salzburg had to offer.

Make a left and at the end is where you pay for the beer, grab the stein, rinse and get it filled. All done within 30 feet radius. You can retrace back and grab all the meats and such. Cash only! Outdoor area is huge. Tree leaves started to come out Mid April. Interior beer halls with plenty of seats. 100's people drinking pints and pints of beer. I had the Pork knuckle which was a whole roasted pork knuckle with home-made dark beer sauce and potato dumpling. We also had the Crispy roast pork with home-made dark beer sauce and potato dumpling. Both were excellent and the beer was also quite good. I had their signature wheat beer and then an Oktoberfest beer (because why not) and really enjoyed it. We got right in after maybe a 5 min wait and we were seated quickly tomorrow private table upstairs.There were 5 of us so it was very spacious and not too loud. We enjoyed beer and wine first and then we enjoyed several dishes that are in the pictures here. All were very good as most food in Munich at these restaurants is. Our server was very polite and she took our orders and suggested some items as well. Food came without too much delay and was very tasty. We stayed and enjoyed for at least 2 hours then back to the festivities once they cleared the bomb threat and started letting everyone back in.
