I discovered this place while grabbing coffee in Eureka, IL. Oh boy, was it a good discovery. I sampled a few ice creams and loved each one. Conveniently when I was there, they also had dollar hot dogs! So between amazing ice cream and cheap hot dogs, I was in heaven. If you love ice cream and haven't visited Uncle Bob's, do yourself a service and go try some! I pulled in on a hot summer day with a couple of preteens who wanted some DQ, needless to say I put a nix on that and treated the youngsters to some local flavor. We thought we were just rolling the dice on grabbing some ice cream little did we know that we walked into a full candy store loaded with all the treats of memories past, Big League Chew, Pop Rocks, five cents candy bins, you get the idea. We stayed on task and only ordered what we came for, some fresh chocolate malts & shakes. The shakes were smooth and rich while the malts where thick and delicious, with frozen treats this good we all fell victim to an ice cream headache or two. Needless to say the next time we pass by Kim's Sweet shop is on our detour list.
