Multiple times. Our insurance didn't cover it. And I did my research about it online. We're considered low risk patients and didn't need to do it. I stayed strong and didn't do it even though she kept saying I did need it. So then when it was my husband's turn, she told him that I didn't need the scan, but he definitely did. So he caved and paid for it. We got a text message requesting we leave a review. . And I didn't do it because I was not happy with the service here. But nothing really bad happened. My 19 year old daughter went for her annual check up on Monday to get new contacts and glasses. During this exam he found a retina tear. It was almost hidden and could be easily missed. If he had missed it, it may have progressed to a retina detachment which can cause blindness. His office staff made my daughter an emergency appointment for a specialist the next day (Tuesday). He explained to my scared and bewildered daughter what had happened, why it had happened (because she is horribly nearsighted which puts her at greater risk), and answered her questions well. When my daughter told me what had happened she was very educated on what was going to happen at the specialist and could share this information due to the patience and education Dr Merchant provided. My daughter had laser eye surgery less than 24 hours after Dr Merchant found the problem and she is recovering well. We anticipate no long term issues thanks to Dr Merchant. Not only did Dr Merchant refer to an outstanding doctor, he made sure they took our insurance.

I needed a root canal and I'm guessing the dentist there didn't do root canals because his appointment booking staff made an appointment for me to a doctor in Broken Arrow and I explained explicitly that it must be a doctor who accepts my dental insurance plan and she assured me they did and even quoted me approximately what my out of pocket expenses would be. Nonetheless, when I arrived at the B/A dental office to have the root canal performed they told me that didn't accept my insurance at all and thanks to the Thomas DENTAL office I was out $1300 I didn't have to spend!!!!! I won't be revisiting the DENTAL side of this company but my family will be EYE CARE patients with them eternally.
