I always enjoy coming north in the Fall to help my cousins with their Farming Operations. It's hard work, and long hours - before sunup and after sunset, but very satisfying. Our only break is when it rains. So, on this one Tuesday afternoon, a renegade rain cloud put a stop to our productive activities, and being it was only 4pm, I decided to visit the local Harley Davidson Dealership in Kewanee. This Dealership has been in business for over 75 years. They're nice hometown folks and their history goes back to the legendary days of Evel Knievel (for those of you old enough to remember) who had actual ties with Roger Reiman. Roger was the son of Hank Reiman (who was a National Champion Hill Climber riding a Harley Hummer & Knucklehead). Hank opened his HD store in 1947. Roger became a professional motorcycle racer and in 1965 won the Daytona 200, after winning the overall national motorcycle racing crown in 1964. Roger met Knievel after showing up to some of Knieval's jumps - at Knieval's invitation as he was wanting some name riders to appear for promotion. They became friends and Roger, known also for his excellent mechanical ability, soon became Knieval's mechanic- rebuilding the engines on Knieval's jump bikes. In the 70's it was not uncommon to see Knieval's double rig (which housed 3 jump bikes and a Ferrari) parked in front of Reiman's dealership. A pretty fascinating history! So I arrived at 4:30 and had plenty of time to look around before they closed at 5. The store has a small display room by today's standards but there were a lot of motorcycles on display. One of the employees greeted me and asked if I needed help finding anything. I replied I was just looking so he said he would be over in an office in case I needed him. All employees I met were friendly and courteous. They had a nice variety of bikes - new and used. They also had a separate attached building where they performed their service work. They had an area for H.D. clothing and merchandise. I found a nice shirt on the clearance sale rack that I purchased. (Some people collect shot glasses while visiting new places, I collect H.D. shirts, ha!) I saw a couple of used Road King's that looked clean and seemed pretty fairly priced. I remarked to the employee checking me out how impressed I was with their used inventory. She said there were more bikes in the other building that they were going to be bringing out to the display room any day now. Great employees, great service, and a nice assortment of bikes and merchandise, I'm going with 5 Stars. They're also veteran friendly. Check them out! read more

I am writing this review for all the customers that will read it.I would not take your bike to there.I understand their labor rate is cheaper and their mechanic skills are decent , but when I got my bike back from it being worked on, I noticed a bunch of scratches on the gas tank and on the part that they had to take off to replace the inner seal.\n So then I brought it and the lady and a kid named Zane came out and seen the damage, and there was oil, splashed all over my bike, and they're like, oh, wow. And he also lost his brother, that kind of explains this problem. We'll take care of it that kept my bikes for Uber 3 weeks and said they fixed it to get me out the door and now I'm stuck with a bike that has scratches and the Chrome covers Uber my gas tank, they got them out and also they decided to be a******* and put little X marks in the ding in my tank. Then when I talk to the owner that owns the Peoria store, which is the father of the son that owns Kewanee, they are both still trying to get me out of their hair, which is b*******, so please don't ever use this store, they'll get you one way or another. And then say, well, we've been working on bikes for over 50 years, and we've never had this problem. Well, we've had this problem in your 2025 year Bud, sorry to break the news to you. read more

Traveling through the area and stumbled upon this dealership. I was happy to see what looked like a nice, hometown dealership and not the mega boutique stores Harley has been pushing. We walked in and noticed nobody was on the sales floor. We browsed around for 20 minutes or so. Nobody greeted us, acknowledged us or ever spoke to us. We briefly saw a person flash behind the parts counter but still no interaction. Nice store with a little historical bike display. Now the reviews I read on this place were all positive, so maybe everyone was in a meeting? Who knows, but this place lost a sale from us. read more

I live 270 miles from Reiman's. I rode down there this summer to buy a T shirt. They are very nice there. They have very fair prices on their bikes. Unlike most dealers they sell older, entry level bikes, at a low price, so you could buy a touring bike for less than $10k. You can tell they love Harleys. read more

I had the privilege of stopping at this shop for a repair of a brake light switch while in the first leg of an annual trip to Sturgis. Mr. Packee approached us and began a conversation with us about where we were headed and how we ended up in his dealership. I can honestly say he's one of the most friendly and genuine people I've ever had a random encounter with! First, he insisted our group take the company truck to lunch after we asked for a recommendation (which was a really cool bar with awesome food!), then hung out and explained the history of the shop, included a tour, with us when we got back. The history had some awesome stories about the previous owner's ties to Evil Knevel. I just read a story about how he refused payment for storage fees for a customer that was serving in the military. It made me come on here to post a review in hopes others read it and seek this shop out because there just aren't that many people like this gentleman left in the world. Mr. Packee, I apologize in advance for not writing this review sooner. Although I live several hours away from your shop, I will be seeing you when the time comes for a new bike. This is a shout-out to Reiman`s Harley Davidson in Kewanee IL. Our son is active military and was just deployed for an extended time to Europe. Reiman`s took his bike for the extended storage at no charge whatsoever to him. These people are great. Respect for our military members comes naturally to these guys and it shows. They are handling everything for him for as long as he is deployed and made him feel welcome like he was family. Can`t say enough about how they treated him. I bought a 2015 Street Glide from Reiman's Harley-Davidson November of 2017 the salesman Doug was nice enough until he tried to load my bike on the trailer riding it not pushing it up ridng it up and smashed the underneath frame on the hinge of trailer/ramp. I had to actually grab bike so he wouldnt fall over, the impact stopped bike completely. After talking with the owner's son for several days they finally agreed to come get the motorcycle. The frame was bent back and part of the casting of the motor was damaged. I expressed my concern about the casting of the motor being damaged and ask for a warranty on specific spot against the leaks he would not give me any, asked for my trade in back, would not give back. He had a 2014 there also, ended up buying that. I've called numerous times trying to get info on bike & some keys, bike only came with one. They're rude and unprofessional neither the owner's son or the salesman will not call me back. I spent over 17K there. A final note the owner's son said he watched the video and saw the salesman stop dead on the trailer cuz he hit it so hard. Extremely poor customer service read more
