This bookstore feels like it's home. There's cozy corners for curling up to read a book, and there's a coffee shop! You'll definitely find some gems you've been looking for and some you didn't know about. The owners were lovely, and you can feel the passion that they have for the store. They were super helpful, and my friend and i found exactly what we needed. I will definitely be back here the next time I'm in Lake Arrowhead! It is a must visit!

    Front cozy room.

This place is heaven for book lovers. The design is so thoughtfully laid out with different sections. There are cozy couches to read and a coffee shop in the back. The owner was so sweet and helpful. I could spend all day here! Definitely will be back.

We snagged some delicious iced coffees from the back corner of the store before we started shopping around (treat yourselves to a Dubai mocha ).

I decided to buy a bag of chips. Then I saw beautifully packaged baklava at the cash register counter. I bought the big gold box full of baklava. Oh wow...just like another reviewer said, these are the BEST baklava I've ever had! These are packaged so nicely, they would make a nice gift too. (Note: The attached picture doesn't include all the baklava that was in the box, because I had already eaten two before I took this picture.)

The closest grocery store was mountain high market and though I was grateful not to have to drive to Lake Arrowhead and back I was disappointed in the high prices and mostly canned and frozen food. Despite the lack of choices, the service here was AMAZING which I have never seen at a grocery store. The couple who ran it offered homemade baklava (which was literally the best I've ever had) and even helped me take my bags to my car IN THE RAIN! Talk about going above and beyond! Also even though the prices were high and the food selection was small it was the best option in the area and the $180 spent on groceries paid for 4 meals plus snacks for 5 people which was a much better alternative than going out for every meal.

Very happy with the selection, prices are slightly higher than going to one of the large home improvement stores but the plants seemed hardier and healthier. Village Nursery is a feast for the eyes with carefully thought out placement of its plants that gives designer vibes while also boasting reasonable pricing. There are whimsical bits of garden decor sprinkled throughout the outdoor shopping areas, with considerably more inside in their 'boutique'. I was able to find handmade ceramic mushrooms for $19.99 that are identical to the $60 ones we would buy at the Laguna Beach Sawdust Festival - such a deal! The plants are priced well for the mountains (these nurseries tend to be higher than down in the flats) and what is appreciated is that Village Nursery only stocks plants that are appropriate for the climate, unlike another local nursery I won't mention. There is a nice gift shop inside on the main floor that sells handmade textile ponchos and rugs, and attractive gifts that would work well for mountain friends. For the first time this past weekend I discovered they also have an upstairs clothing boutique featuring what I believe are handmade designs from India that are either bejeweled or otherwise adorned. Such a fun place to shop!

Edison couldn't fix it because it fell under an owner-specific height requirement, so I had to find an electrician myself. The companies my property management team contacted were unbelievably expensive, it honestly felt like they were taking advantage of the situation since it was a rental property. Thankfully, Edison referred me to Shaun (S-H-A-U-N) from Crestline Electric, and he was incredible. He came out, assessed everything, and gave me a quote that was completely reasonable. Not only that, he was extremely personable, honest, and straightforward. His work was excellent, and I immediately felt at ease knowing I was working with someone who truly cared about doing the job right, not upselling or exploiting the situation. Since then, I've continued to use Shaun for other electrical projects because he did such an amazing job and has stayed in communication throughout the process. He's fair, he tells you honestly what you need (and what you don't need), and he'll be upfront if something will be costly. I highly recommend Shaun from Crestline Electric for any electrical needs in Crestline or anywhere nearby. He's trustworthy, reliable, and truly exceptional at what he does.
