Breakfast on the Brockton/West Bridgewater line, Sunday mid morning and life is good! Located in a strip mall near the now closed Kmart this place could probably revive the former retail giant. Pretty simple menu choices done very well and with a smile and not overpriced. Our server, Tracy, was awesome! Our coffee was hot and poured almost as soon as we sat down in a booth that was comfy and clean. Our order was taken and food came out in a conversational few minutes. I got scrambled eggs they cooked em fluffy for me, the breakfast potatoes were justly seasoned and onions and red peppers complimented the spuds perfectly, also had an English muffin on the grill,again perfect evenly cooked and tasty. My son got a huge breakfast that included pancakes. Reason for minus a star pancakes were chewy maybe just a fluke but my tastebuds were grateful that I did not order pancakes or I would have been hugely disappointed. My wife and I usually go each week early...Food is quick and tasty as is the coffee. Cannot beat the prices ...especially if you get there before 8:30 AM ..Monday - Friday. Hard to find because it's tucked away in the KMart shopping plaza. The food is good though. Large portions, well done breakfast. It's a bit dated, in terms of the decor. Wait, super dated! But if you don't mind that, you'll enjoy the delicious food. Since it's dated, the no credit/debit card thing seems to fit just right. So, bring that cash with ya. I probably enjoyed the homefries the best. My eggs were made right, and the French toast with just right in terms of sweetness! Great food and even better service from our server Tracy. She was on top of things like a pro would be. My mom and I went and my mom is a diabetic and had low blood sugars and before we even needed to put in our order she got my mom a glass of apple juice right away which leveled her sugars off. I eat here at least 3x a week. The ladies are the sweetest and very nice. They do occasionally make errors but they make up for it in the next visit..I wish they were open now, because I wanted to actually sit down and eat today to get the full experience. so, i've been a loyal customer of reid"s for quite some time now. today the literally overcharged and then told me i was wrong. they charged me for every single thing i ordered separately and then refused to fix the prices when i questioned them about it. the waitress with the black hair and gray sweater gives the people who "don't look like her" the most ugliest unwelcoming look when you walk thru the door. i have never felt so disrepected and taken advantage of like this in my life. this place has gone downhill tremendously in the last few years and myself, nor my colleagues nor my family will never return to this place ever again!!! #teamheidis read more

Went to Reid's this Saturday for take out breakfast. We ordered it, waited 30 min to pick it up and it wasn't ready when picking up. I left and came back and it still wasn't ready. I had to wait an hour and half just for take out. The excuse from the waitresses were they were really swamped which looking at the diner hall they were not busy. They all seemed pretty rude and had another family tell them the same thing while I waited for my food to come out. The food was ok and definitely something I could of made myself. I'm big on Customer service and I really don't feel like this place had any. Maybe things would be different if I ate in the diner instead of take out but I wasn't pleased with my experience. read more

Best pancakes ever! Get the ultimate breakfast#1. Food comes out very fast. Less than 5 minutes almost everytime I eat there. They have a breakfast bar you can sit at instead of tables if you so choose. It could use quite a bit of redecorating inside, but I go there to eat not stare at pretty paintings. read more

I went here with my wife for the first time. The place has a old school diner look and feel and does have a nice charm about the place. Both of our plates where delious and the crispy hash browns where the best. Prices where reasonable. The only negative thing I have to say is that the staff was kind of cold and we felt rushed. In a strip mall adjacent to K-Mart, Reid's is almost on the border of Brockton and West Bridgewater and i believe is only open for breakfast. Which is usual, but if your going to open for only one meal of the day it should be good, and i'm happy to say Reid's is. Its a little old diner style place that looks like its in need of updating, but don't let that fool you , the breakfast is pretty good and needs no updating! Serving the usually staples that one would expect from a breakfast place, Reid's has awesome corned beef hash, fresh prepared eggs done any style, bacon, sausage, ham, omelettes etc, you get the picture, and of course, fresh brewed coffee. Of note, i ordered white toast which came on thick sliced bread instead of the usually thin slices served elsewhere, so bonus! Everything came out fresh and piping hot, we had hash n eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, and all were excellent, service was friendly and attentive, so no complaints here, i'll be back for sure. read more

This place has the best breakfast in the world: The Ultimate No. 1. You get scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, and two huge pancakes. I would suggest asking to get your pancakes with chocolate chips and bananas. The decor is kind of old, as the oringinal reviewer points out, but the food more than makes up for it. But it is wonderful if you enjoy listening to your waitress yell to the customer right in front of her (instead of speaking at a rational level of volume). I know years ago this place was really so good, it had great food and everything... but now I wouldn't go here and it's the closest breakfast place to my house, we used to go all the time, till I saw mice running through the place, so have some of my other family, that lives nearby as well. Recently, ordered food to go, was spoken to rudely, made to feel I was inconveniencing them by asking for separate containers for different foods. It was worse than boring typical diner breakfast, and the hassle wasn't worth the food, AT ALL! I'd rather drive a few minutes more and get better service from a cleaner place with better food, and the better staff! For ex: Alexander's is way way better, if you want a real breakfast go there, ... in fact I'd rather get a breakfast sub at subway than eat here! The food, Awful, staff, rude and completely dirty! Perfectly seasoned and cooked so they aren't soggy or to crunchy. Eggs too are always cooked the way you ask for them and pancakes are always huge and fluffy. Depending time you go you basically come in and can seat yourself where ever and typically a server comes over with in a few minutes to take drink orders and whole order if your ready and know what you want. The food usually is out in minutes after ordering if you go after the bigger weekend breakfast rush.
