Using a strange looking camera on a probe to "paint" my teeth, Dr. Jared Reid stitched a perfect 3D picture of both the upper and lower teeth. This took many minutes but you get to see a 3D color rendering of your teeth after. As it turns out, the photo is an absolutely accurate rendering and the measurements for your new crown will be made from it automatically by the dedicated computer. Dr. Reid cut the existing crown in half and then removed it. The stuff that you expect happened next ... he used high speed drills to remove the decay from the remaining healthy tooth. Just like as if you were about to get a filling. That was the only familiar part of this. After the decay was completely removed more pictures from the fabulous "wand-camera." This time it recorded the surface where the crown would be seated. That's when we got into really high tech land! Using those scans of my teeth, the computer models a 3D crown that will on the outside, match the old crown and on the inside fit exactly on the remaining healthy tooth. Once rendered, he sends the computer file to their in house CNC router. It is a wonder to behold. A piece of porcelain about 1 cm square is held by metal post and it turns as well as going up and down while being "attacked" on two sides by two, high speed, water cooled diamond bits. It took about ten minutes and out pops this perfect porcelain crown that just needed to be cemented in. Perfect! This is long but a few more lines here. What didn't happen! No mouth full of plaster-like gunk for many minutes to make an impression of your mouth. No temporary crown while you wait for the "real" one to come in in about two weeks. No wait! Also, one shot of novocaine only and it was totally pain free. Plus Jared is just a great guy. If you are looking for a dentist, I can't recommend Sugarloaf Dental in any higher.

Turns out i needed filling and scheduled for the following week. Went back for fillings a week later with Dr Bagdasarov. I don't know exactly, but he has the perfect mix of compassion and no nonsense professionalism. I really got the feeling that he was just really really good at what he does. Concentrates at what he does but doesnt seem to over concentrate, which makes me nervous. Everything he did seemed very calculated and deliberate, which was reassuring and calming. I really liked him. It was a very relaxing environment considering, no one wants to get fillings. When i got there the receptionist actually recognized me from the week before and greeted me by name. Very good. The 5 stars they routinely get are well earned.

She first started working with me when I was around 14 years old, and had to deal with maryland bridges due to two of my front teeth missing from a congenital defect. Not only is she extremely thoughtful towards the cosmetic side, she is extremely precise and excellent at what she does. She is also just a very sweet, lovely person. I always found the staff very sweet, aside from one hygienist who lectured me about electric toothbrushes and their importance. (I knew the importance, and I am extremely hygienic, so I felt that she was trying to tell me I wasn't cutting it, which is just weird.) Anyhow, Dr. Robinson got rid of her. After several appointments, they were unable to remove the abutment (which is fine - they just weren't equipped to handle my specific issue, which isn't anyone's fault). At the end of my most recent appointment, the dentist said that he would need to talk to the surgeon that originally put the implant in. I gave him the surgeon's phone number and he promised to call her that day. Two weeks passed and I heard nothing from him or his office - I called to check in several times and each time was told that the dentist was out and they would get a message to him. I eventually got a call back saying that he just got off the phone with my surgeon and he wouldn't be able to remove the abutment, but that he would refer me to a specialist. Another week goes by...and once again I hear nothing from them. I was finally able to get the referral I needed by calling into the office again and asking for it. It's just frustrating - I feel like they never would have followed up without me hounding them.

I received a quote that was 150 dollars more than the quote they had me sign two months ago. They TEXTED me to say I would owe almost 500 dollars for a filling . The quote from 2 months ago was 150 dollars lower . This was not the first time money came before patient care . There have been 2 similar incidents but today was the last straw. I left the practice after 33 years and will be going to an Easthampton practice not focused on money grabbing and concerned about the patient first .

The cleaning was thorough and I was given tips on caring for my teeth better. In the past I had one place try to sell me a bunch of fillings, yet refuse to show me the cavities on the x-rays. There was no such issue with Dr. Zervas. He said everything looked good. I was also very impressed that the cape you wear when the x-rays are taken covers your neck to prevent damage to the thyroid, something I have not encountered before. I liked the music they played including, given the quality of the care here, the very appropriate "I Feel Good" by James Brown.

My husband was shocked at how costly my previous dentists recommendations were so we were considering a university clinic which was almost impossible to get an appointment with for a good year or two and a two hour drive each way or going to Mexico which I was not a fan of for many reasons. We found out about Dr. Zervas from a stranger who raved so highly about him we went online immediately and thought this might be a great fit. It absolutely is. Dr. Zervas is one of the most positive, high vibe, happy people on the planet. A beautiful smile always greets you. He is completely invested in your wellbeing and comfort. I feel like I am at the feet of a master, and at a spa. I am a new patient at his office and have had quite a bit of dental work already and it all happens in the same office. I didn't have to go to a periodontist, I didn't have to go somewhere else for tooth extractions and everything has been going very well. The grand finale is there is a financial plan which for my family makes this wonderful place completely affordable. I hope it will for you too!!!
