I first met Michelle Silva, the owner of The Therapy Grove, 11 years ago when she was my son's…read moreOccupational therapist. A few years later, she founded her own agency, and I was immediately inspired by her mission and vision- not only for the children and families she serves, but also for her therapists and employees. I eventually transitioned from a career in the Veterinary medicine to become the Office Manager and Billing Specialist at The Therapy Grove. I truly love being part of this agency. Every day, my goal is to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the children and familes we support.

We Love the therapists that have been working with our son for over year now. I love the fact that…read morethey always adapt to what he wants to do and aren forcing him to do particular agendas like when we used to go to pediatric speech and language which was literally a 10 min walk(2 min drive) from our house. But we are more willing to make the 12-15 min drive for better care than someone who shoves their agendas down you kids throat. The only dislike we have is their time frame when it come to call outs. Since my son is in kindergarten from 7:40-11:45 and our appt is always at 1 we never know how much he will be able to tolerate after he gets out of a school. So if he is having mental breakdown they don't care. You have to bring them in otherwise you start getting charged for each missed appt. Starts to really add up. There are days i really want to pull him because of their policy. But because of how much progress he's made there we haven't pulled him.

I will never recommend foundations developmental house. One of the therapists, had my son write "I…read morewill not whine" every single time he complained. How on earth does this help with emotional regulation skills? How does forcing a child who struggles with fine motor skills benefit from this? It's appalling that an educated person would think 1. They can discipline another persons child and 2. Forcing a child who struggles with writing to write as a form of control and punishment would ever work. This doesn't work! There is no evidence that this works. What an embarrassment to the establishment.

I will never recommend VAA to anyone!…read more From the employer side, they on many occasions paid my fiancé late. They provide excuses and no real explanation or even apology for their mistakes. The HR department only has a email address and no phone number to talk to anyone. They do not follow employment laws and I had to ask for fully completed FMLA forms as Ashley, their HR Specialist, did not fill everything out on the rights and responsibilities form multiple times. It takes multiple days and follow-up emails since VAA doesn't even acknowledge emails to the only way to reach out to them. They now refused to talk to me as I bring up issues and concerns with my fiancé's employment and call me demanding. If they actually responded back in a reasonable time, I wouldn't have to send multiple follow emails requesting updates from them. PLEASE LOOK ELSEWHERE!

We were excited to start a new school that said all the right things. Day 2 of school and our child…read morewas restrained so bad by not only just staff, but also the vice principal and left scratches, bruises, and cuts from head to toe. They claimed they held him down in a 40 minute hold!! before they called me!! These people are not trained in how to handle behaviors or how to keep these kids safe. My child has been traumatized by this and its very sad to see. Do not take your kids here! My child has had hard moments in his school life all these years but this is the first time anyone has left a mark on him, let alone over 10 marks. No one followed up, no one took pictures or checked to see if he was okay afterwards. The incident report was not given until 5 days later and it was terribly written. Sad part is, I will never know what actually happened and have no idea.
