First time using a physical therapist and I am so glad I chose this location because my first visit…read moreexceeded my expectations! What do you mean I walked in with left knee pain and walked out without any! I've been hating life with this consistent pain and I'm writing this review 3 hours after therapy and my knee still feels great! Locations great, easy in, easy out. I did my research and had some referrals so I had high expectations walking in. From the friendly receptionist, clean bldg, and office space and friendly staff, I already knew I was going to be very happy here. I got seen almost right away too which was awesome! I had my consultation with Sean, great guy, super cool and very informative! After being seen, he walked me through on what steps we were going to take to make me feel better. I started having a hot flash before we got started and he totally understood where I was coming from because he has a wife who is going through the same thing and made me feel right at home talking about it. He set me up with Diego who was super friendly, very clear on what he was going to do and how I would feel and that was very helpful since I've never done physical therapy before. I can say with utmost confidence he has healing hands for sure. He gave me a deep tissue style massage around my knee and thigh and I think that alone made my knee feel better almost instantly. He helped me stretch a few different ways which felt so good afterwards. Lastly I ended the session with these things they put on my legs like compression coverings to help with circulation which was super gnarly and felt great, I'd like another please lol. The whole staff was happy, laughs and it really felt like they were a family and it was super nice to see and take part for the hour I was there. Everyone was very accommodating too. I'm short and needed a step up stool to get on the beds and it was no problem, got one right away and I really appreciated the super friendliness and thoroughness throughout this visit. I made a second appt for tomorrow, let's keep the momentum going. Note: I drove 45 min to go to this location because of the referrals I was given and for service like this, I'd do it over and over again each time, without hesitation. Thank you!! You MUST use them for your physical therapy needs. I'll take pics to add tomorrow. But they had a lil gym area, several rooms and beds, I saw people getting a massage or other services and the place was poppin!

Not the most important thing but they do have the widest range of equipment and you can often call last minute and get a slot as they do a high volume. The receptionist, Sarah, tells me to use the other door. I was already inside and infront of her and she literally expected me to walk back out and back in the other door. WTF. Seriously? Is this third grade? I almost left from lack of respct. I loook around and see so many elderly people and think she is making people jump through hoos with a little bit of power. It gets better. The actual physical therapist was great and diagnosed my torn rotator cuff and proceeeded to put together a course of action. When he was in the reception area, this woman acted better, almost fawning over him, but how she treats patients is atrocious. I got my authorization for my therapy schedule in the mail and checked my phone. This woman Sarah had left me several messages. I dreaded calling there and getting her on the phone with her incipid voice and condescending attitude. She did nto disappoint. I could not get a word in edgewise as she educated me on if I had HMO or PPO. I had the authoization in my hand, and she called me - I was returning her call. She spent so much time berating me and telling me she was trying to get information as I was trying to give her my info. I cannot and will not put up with this total lack of respect - rudensess and condescention for absolutely no reason. I am a senior but I am also well enough to say something about elder abuse and this woman is a pip on a power trip. I am calling my doctor immediately and having them reroute my 12 sessions elsewhere. I cannot even begin to think of having to put up with this person for one time more than I absolutely have to, let alone at least 12.

My first appointment was around Christmas/new years and they were able to fit in me quickly for the initial exam. I saw a few different people at first and just booked whoever was available, but started to book Ron and Ephraim since their time and availability always seemed to work with my schedule. I could definitely feel my knee/leg getting stronger and was often sore (in a good workout kind of way) and they never pushed me when I couldn't complete any sets. They really listened to feedback when I was sore and had pain and adjusted the entire workout around my feedback as well as the post workout treatment. Hopefully I won't be a repeat patient, but i won't hesitate to use them again if needed.

I was rear-ended in a car accident and spent over a year dealing with knee, neck, and back…read moreinjuries. During that time, I worked with another physical therapy office. The people there were incredibly kind and wonderful, but despite more than a year of treatment, I simply wasn't getting better. Then I found Bechtel Physical Therapy. I am not exaggerating when I say I made more progress in my first three visits at Bechtel than I did in over a year at the previous clinic. Are they more expensive than where I was going before? Yes. Are they worth it? Absolutely. But really, they ended up being less expensive in the long run because I improved so quickly. I only needed a few weeks of treatment to accomplish what an entire year elsewhere couldn't. I personally work with Daniel, and all I can say is: holy hell, that man has magic hands. Because I was improving so much, I started addressing other issues as well. Susan (fabulous) worked with me on pelvic floor physical therapy after surgery - and Bryn (beyond incredible!) helped me recover from symptoms related to a concussion I suffered from AND adjusted my surgery scars. My scars!!! I didn't even know that that was a thing - and the difference before and after was astronomical!!! The breadth of expertise in this office is beyond compare. (also want to give a special shout out to Emelyn, Daniel's right-hand assistant, and Fernanda, the general manager, because I love them). What I appreciate most is that they combine genuine kindness with an exceptionally high level of skill and professionalism. It's one thing to have a caring staff. It's another thing entirely to have a caring staff that is truly outstanding at what they do. In fact, when I mentioned Bechtel to several medical specialists I see, every single one had the same response: "Yep. They're the best." And now I understand why. I cannot recommend Bechtel Physical Therapy highly enough. They changed my recovery, and I honestly wouldn't go anywhere else.

Generally, I have it under control, but when it flares, it flares. The PT exercises and other tools I typically used to manage it were no longer really helping. Enter Myo and Dr. Bahar Gord. Right from the first assessment, she was so attentive and really listened to my concerns. She watched my movement and honed in immediately on what was plaguing me and saw the full picture, not just the one issue. I told her I already had an arsenal of exercises -- the typical core, glute, hip flexor approaches and that I was looking for something that would be complimentary. She immediately saw something deeper and ever since, she has been incredible. I have learned a whole new set of PT exercises and an approach to the deep core that I had been missing from prior exercises (which aren't wrong or bad, they just weren't getting to the core of the issue. See what I did there? Lolzzz). Anywho, Bahar is a body mechanics master. She introduced a range of new exercises and a focus on deep core modalities to retrain my entire physiology. She explains the physics of each in easy to visualize and understand language. I've been going to AJ Physical Therapy since late August after having surgery on my hip. I've been…read morepretty happy with my results, as has my surgeon. My surgeon even said at one point that we were 'ahead of the curve' recovery-wise, although he wasn't super happy that I was doing unsupported standing/weight-bearing on the operated side within the first few days after surgery (which he said was listed in the referral's recovery plan outline. I had my initial evaluation with Barak, who was very friendly and knowledgeable. After that first session, however, I was assigned to work with Mike. Mike is also very good at what he does, although I had one frustrating incident in which I was being asked to balance on my affected side which I was finding almost impossible as I had hurt my large toe on that foot (bruised the bone or hairline fracture that took a couple of months to recover), even though I had expressed this. After that session we worked on different exercises. The layout is essentially one big open room with some massage-esque tables in the back and all the equipment spread throughout the main room. Some of the equipment/gear is a little old, as an example the ankle-weights I work with frequently have velcro that seems to be hanging on by a thread, though the things have never fallen off of me. There are some offices in the back for other kinds of work (I've not been back there except for the restroom). The staff always greets me with a smile and within a minute of my walking in I'm offered a heating pad to warm up the affected area. They have music on the speakers that's usually pretty good (sometimes 'skips' despite not being a CD player) and a weekly poll on the white board that they invite clients to participate in ("hot cocoa or egg nog" as an example). I enjoy coming here for my workouts, although sometimes the therapists are balancing two people at a time so once they confirm you're doing the correct form, they can pop off to work with another person for a moment. I haven't felt neglected, tho, as the others who are working at the time check in on how I'm doing as I go. They also speak a couple of languages, too, which is great. I think Hebrew (?) and Spanish, but I'm not 100% sure on the latter. The atmosphere is nice, as well, and both staff and clients chat about whatever, generally. One thing I would improve is being more diligent about the 'no phone calls inside' policy, as a lot of the clientele skew older and they tend to chat loudly on their phones or put it onto speaker to hear it better (?). And on occasion just watching videos with the volume on, which can be distracting in the open-floor plan of the place. I will say, they can be heard from their office space which opens to the main floor, and I heard a woman (sally?) commenting the news with statements of how 'of course those people don't speak English' and 'all that misappropriated money Elon found' which worries me regarding media-literacy there, since I heard someone agree with that easily disproven statement (when looking up 'doge actual findings') but I acknowledge that that has nothing to do with physical therapy. Overall a great place to get physical therapy.
