This is by far the worst salon that I have ever been to. I would give it negative 5 stars.
1. Management is awful and completely unprofessional ( Miranda or Melinda is her name)
2. The stylists are completely unprofessional
3. No one listens
First I would like to say that a woman's hair is probably one of her most prized and precious assets. I came in for a consultation and wanted to get my hair fixed after I received botched highlights from Ulta and had to dye my hair one color. So here I am months later and I speak to Kyle and another stylist. We talk about color and cut and I stressed that this is for an important event a month from my consultation. I just wanted to have my hair one simple color, brown, with natural low lights. Everyone said it was doable and I honestly shared all my color history( I have had a lot of coloring done). And I even went so far as to show Kyle what I did not want which was a picture of the botch job from Ulta.
When I came in for my appointment at 8am before the salon opened, which I really appreciated her coming in that early for me, I completely trusted her and remained relaxed. Everything was great until after her telling me it would take 2-3 hours max we were coming in on hour 4 and I had to be at work, which I had informed. I also had asked for a cut and blow dry. 6 hours is how long this all took.
Not only was my hair the same as what Ulta had done, and I had explained NOT to do this, I was assured that the lighting was off in the salon and it would look better in better lighting. I left paying almost $200 to $300 for color and cut and tip.
I work in the same mall as the salon and went back a couple of hours later after receiving so many awful comments from coworkers and customers about my hair. The manager scoffed at me and would not listen saying that Kyle gave me what i had asked for. When I showed her pictures she got mad and said she will not refund me and she will only color it again if that helps but it will cost me. No, that does not help, because not only was it not colored right, Kyle missed a huge spot smack dab in the middle of the back of my head in between all the layers which my coworker saw after i put my hair up.
When I called corporate the manager lied and said i cursed at her( which was an atrocious lie because I worked in the same mall as part of two management teams and those clients in the store were my customers in my store as well). I spoke to her professionally and politely, and when corporate asked for her side of the story she said I was loud and hysterical and scared the customers. Which I thought that if you simply pull up the salon video tape you'd see that was completely untrue. The corporate office said that they have to side with the manager and the district and territory manager would contact me. No one did. And they offered me a $25 gift card to Regis to make up for the botch job. Avoid this entire company if possible. read more
