She's so friendly, unique, motivated and professional. Her services are worth every penny! I have very thin salt and pepper hair and spend my summer at the beach. I wanted a cut that was short and easy to care for. I left the shop with the cutest, most feminine pixie cut. It always looks good, wet from the ocean, styled or just wash and go. Joey is not only great at styling but offers excellent recommendations on care for your hair type. I do not get my hair colored but the friend who recommended the shop says she will only let Joey do it. I guess that speaks for itself.

After complimenting a woman recently whose hair was cut and styled much the way I like mine, I learned it was none other than Tamara that cut it! I highly recommend her!

As someone who worked in retail for nearly a decade, customer service is important to me. I was…read moretraveling to ocean city and needed a hair care product and decided to venture to ulta Beauty nearby. I walked in the door and was greeted by a young sales associate who asked me if they could help me find anything. I pulled up a picture of exactly what I was looking for and I had already done my due diligence and researched that ulta did in fact carry the product. He looks for a second and assured me that this location does not carry the brand design essentials at all. I almost walked out but decided to look around myself since I did go out of my way and I really needed this product or something similar. I walk to the back and find hair care products that look like they cater to black women and amazingly there is an entire section of Design Essentials. I quickly locate the product I needed and headed to check out. After arriving at the checkout I am instructed to put in my phone number. I inform the young lady I have never purchased anything from Ulta and did not have a rewards membership. She asked if I would like to sign up and I declined. She then informed me that I could not make any returns without being a rewards member. Overall I was more annoyed with the policy and the lack of knowledge of the sales associate. I'd rather someone admit they don't know or ask for help than just confidently tell me their store doesn't carry the very product I found a whole display of.
