My experience with Dr Kwo started out really well. I saw him regarding dizziness. He said I had something called vestibular neuronitis and needed to start physical therapy. I began physical therapy and things started to improve. When I saw him the next time a few months later I gave him an update on my progress, we decided the vestibular neuronitis was over and now it was dizziness created by neck tension. He changed my order for physical therapy, told me that if my symptoms worsened then we would need to do an MRI and do further testing. I continued physical therapy and started to get better and better, never getting worse. My balance had improved tremendously, some major symptoms had disappeared, and overall I started to feel closer and closer to normal. Both my GP and my physical therapist told me that this process can take a long time with tension, neck tension causing dizziness is not uncommon, and it is what it is. Here is where the problem started: my physical therapist sent him a progress report like she did every time I needed him to order more. He sent a fax back to her saying that he didn't receive a progress report on me WITH THE PROGRESS REPORT Attached to the bottom. I told them that and they told me they never received it. She sent it again, he signed and stamped it, and we moved on. I got a phone call two weeks later saying that they didn't get it and that I needed to come in and be seen. I was confused because the doctor agreed I didn't need to come back in unless my symptoms got worse. I went in and the doctor was erratic. He wouldn't let me speak, he didn't listen to what I had to say, he didn't care how I was feeling and how much better I was doing. When he initially asked me "how is it going." My response was GREAT! And then he proceeded to talk over me telling me all these things about how I'm not better and it shouldn't take this long and we need to see if I have MS and all these other things after telling me at my last visit that neck tension can take a long time. When I mentioned that to him, he flat out lied to me. He told me he never said that, he never thought it was neck tension (even though he rewrote my order to reflect that and he sat there and explained to me why I was having a certain symptom because of pressure on the nerve in my neck in my last visit) and that he could lose his license for prescribing me physical therapy without doing the MRI (my GP told me that was incorrect) and that if this was Medicare they wouldn't let me go a month without seeing the doctor (which my PT also told me was a lie) so that totals three different lies. I've never seen a doctor act like that. I'm a relatively healthy 26 year old woman which no prior health issues and no family history of MS who has had whiplash three times most recently two days before I started to get dizzy (whiplash is a common trigger for this type of tension) the next day I went to my GP to ask her opinion and she told me it sounded like he was projecting an experience with a different patient on to me or something was going on because what he was saying didn't make any sense to her. I will NEVER go back to this man. Find someone else! read more
