This is an easy and comfy way to get from Vienna to Prague! We took the Student Agency bus and stayed a few days in Prague before returning to Vienna the same way. It was a very comfortable way to get from one location to the other, with nice seats, entertainment available, and several snack choices along the way. The views on the journey can be quite beautiful too, which you would miss if you took the short plane ride from Vienna to Prague. There are large picture windows at each seat so you can get a good view of the mustard seed fields and landscapes along the way. If you prefer to see the route along the way, and have a mid-morning/afternoon to spare in your travels (we boarded in Vienna at 9am and arrived in Prague at 2pm), then I definitely recommend this service as a very low-cost alternative to flying! read more

I'm a plane person. Planes are like my taxis. So when I had a recent appointment in Berlin, and my visa company booked me on a bus trip, I was skeptical, to say the least, lol. But at around 34 euro round trip, (less than $50 USD), I figured it was just a day-trip so I would try it out. Also, read up on the bus line a little so that I knew what I was in for. You can make your reservation online and pay right away; otherwise, the system sends you an e-mail with the payment request, which you must pay within a certain time frame or your reservation will be canceled. You choose your seat at the time of reservation, but the stewardess checking me in was accommodating when I asked to switch my seat. So, luxury bus, leather seats, like you would see inside an airplane; complete with in-seat monitors on all the headrests. Complimentary internet (no password needed), and charging outlet at the seats. There is a stewardess who welcomes you onboard, cautions to fasten your seatbelt, and announces your stops. Stewardess also serves hot beverages at multiple times throughout the trip. All in all, it was not a bad experience and price versus quality was good. RegioJet is a good, inexpensive option to city-hop throughout Europe To note: The driver locked the bathroom door when a customer tried to use the onboard toilet before the bus left (as we were getting on) and apparently forgot to unlock it as the trip progressed. While visiting my family (who live far away from Praha), the boy decided to visit me ... in Praha. I had no way of getting there by car, the train takes forever, so I thought hope was lost...then I stumbled upon RegioJet. At first, I was afraid it was a student-only bus line, but it turned out to be for everyone. The ride itself was great. The bus arrived on time, unloaded passengers and loaded us newbies very quickly, and got us to our destinations in a timely manner (given the terrible weather conditions we had). The bus was amazing! Free WiFi, coffee and hot chocolate, plus USB ports at each seat except for the front row :-( You book your seats online in advance, so don't pick the front if you plan on charging things. Also-- huge shout out to Klara Hemplova who was the hostess on one of my rides. She was an absolute pro - smiling, gracious, quick, friendly. We had the gloomiest weather, and she lit the world up. read more

We traveled with this company twice, once on a bus to Karlove Vary and once on a train to Vienna. Both the bus and the train are very comfortable with WiFi, TVs in the headrest (playing movies in English), coffee and tea service and an option to buy snacks and meals. The drinks and food are really cheap (a beer costs like $1) But what is really impressive is their cost savings. I paid 18 euros for a one way ticket from Vienna to Prague which is a savings of 48 Euros when compared to the regular rail service provider. I believe they offer cheaper tickets as well if you don't want any frills (like the TV). Super impressed with their professionalism and price point. read more

When you book your ticket from RegioJet, you will receive some random information as where your bus will be located, which seat number do you have etc. Do not rely on them. Because after all, the company DOES NOT CARE about this information. For example in your ticket it may say your bus will be at peron number four. You can wait at peron number four, and then voila! The driver of your bus may, for his own pleasure, park the bus to peron ten or twelve. If you miss the bus because of this, that's your problem! And you never get your money back. This is RegioJet. We used a RegioJet bus for our travel from Vienna to Prague. Taking the bus may have been one of the best decisions we made during our trip through Europe. The bus was comfortable, reliable, and cheap at $15 per person. It took us about 4 hours to get from Vienna to Prague and it was a very comfortable trip. We were served coffee free of charge and given the monitors in front of us, we were able to watch a movie as well (The Bridges of Madison County). Frankly, I would say that they did a better job than most airlines do, including British Airways which we used during our return to the U.S. where BA's monitors seemed antique compared to the monitors that were here on this bus. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending the use of this bus for anyone looking to travel between Vienna and Prague, and possibly also between other locations that are serviced by this company. read more

NEVER RECOMMEND this Agency to any travelers. They are SCAM! On 3rd February 2018, I bought Regiojet ticket online from Vienna - Budapest. The bus attendant rejected my e-ticket and she said ,my name and reservation number was not on her list and not on their data base, yet I got an confirmation email from the Student Agency about my payment. I had to pay for another ticket on the spot ,which cost me almost 3X (online 9€ vs on the spot 26€ ). I was not the only passanger who had problem with the ticket. Other 2 groups of passanger have bought ticket online and they have problems too ( not the same problem as me though). Basic line, their web sites is so confusing, and cause so many problems. Never will use their service ever again. read more

Great train service. Used it twice on a 4 hr trip from Prague to Bratislava and back. Only avoid the poorest coach tickets sold for the cheapest price. It reeks of body odours, onions, garlic and farts. Plus there was no free internet as advertised for the entire journey in this working class/poverty section. I had to upgrade to Standard during my joirney, where there was internet immediately available, plus sockets to charge your devices. The lack of WiFi in the poor, low cost - no service section of the train really pissed me off, because I bought the ticket because of it. It's called false advertising! Other than that everything was fine. On my return trip I booked the Standard section right away and the WiFi worked fine all the way. Refreshments and snacks sold during the trip are dirt cheap!!!
