They were amazingly patient with some folks ahead of me: definitely would have tested the TSA's resistance to yelling at them. I didn't experience much of the shopping and dining here but it seemed very generic and non-descript. You'll see stores selling "local" products that are quite pricey, regular chain restaurants, and some duty-free. I only went to the grocery store before security and it was okay, though I'm sure there was an upcharge for the location. The bathrooms are meh but I've seen worse. They're not the cleanest, but, not disasters. The airport has these uber stations to arrange for a ride. I just used my phone and relied on a hot spot. Uber pickup for me was upstairs on the second floor departure level, strangely.

He explained the histories and the background stories of all the sites that we went to. & did a fantastic job. 2. The tour covered all the sites that they promised on the list. And was some small bonus when we passed by certain areas. 3. Price of the tour is very reasonable. And the bus was very comfortable. 4. The only downside I'd like to point out and this applies to any tours that you take not just this one. Since the tour company try to make their promise so everywhere we went not only you need to expect a lot of walking but also you do need to be on time which means the time to spend at each location is limited. 5. We didn't have too much time to grab something to eat in between sites. And we got back pretty late around 8 PM. so the hunger definitely hit by that time. If I would do this again, I will definitely pack my own food and water. We enjoyed our Overall experience with this tour company and do recommend by @winedinenvacay

We saw other people being waited on and leave before we got our lunch. We were concerned that we would not have enough time to see the Grandhotel Pupp (2.5 hours), so our bus group decided to go ahead and leave. Of course, that is when the dessert (ice cream was being served. The Grandhotel Pupp and the surrounding area were spectacular. When we arrived back in Prague, the host announced that we should get off the bus at a location close to the majority of the passengers. It was not anywhere near where we were picked up. A traffic jam, she said, so everyone was supposed to get off. My traveling companion told me that we should stay on the bus so they could drop us off where they picked us up. The host said that we were only 5 minutes from the street near our hotel. Both of us were not that familiar with the downtown area and many residents were not fluent in English. I ended up using my GPS on my cell phone to get back to our hotel. It was NOT 5 minutes. We got turned around a bit, but it took us nearly 25 minutes to get to our hotel. Everything else was great about our vacation, but this bus trip.

The hotel is located in a good spot with a lot of restaurants and grocery. There is a lift that can fit 2 people. Checkin Process: checkin process is quick and easy. Cleanliness: the rooms are pretty clean, you can tell that this a new hotel cause everything is new. The rooms are huge, not sure if all the rooms are big like that but ours is way to big. Lol Beds: the bed are soft and well maintained. The sofa bed is huge too. Bathroom: it is clean and bigger than the usual. It was taped as "sanitized" so they really clean well. Kitchen: there is a kitchen!! Yes haha you can cook and eat in the dining area. You will feel at home! Service: they were kind. They offer tours too if you want to inquire. I felt safe Restaurants: there is a restaurant beside and has 10% off! Will probably stay here again when I visit Prague! The rooms are big and clean! Great location with a lot of restaurants!

That said, The Royal Court Apartments' staff were also my first impression of the Czech people. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. Asya at the front desk was so helpful in getting us settled into our room and continued through out our stay to be a wealth of information about tours, things to see, and recommendations for anything. Our room was gorgeous! Not only was it visually appealing, but the room had AC and lots of little amenities. The housekeeping staff were also very friendly and did a great job making our room look fresh after a long day of sightseeing Prague. This place has serious value from this traveler's perspective. There are so many things right with this airport but other airports should try hard to emulate. I…read morewill say that this airport tends to be quiet and less busy compared to other airports I've been in, which was kind of nice. This airport has its own cafeteria. I kind of looks like an Ikea cafeteria. We had made to order omelets, coffee, cake, and even salad from a salad bar at really inexpensive prices. That's quite a bonus for the airport to subsidize this cafeteria. There is a mother and baby room, with an area to change babies, sit and nurse babies, any playroom for baby and toddlers. They also have a doctor available at the airport. Unfortunately, I was hit with a very painful kidney stone shortly after we arrived to our hotel. We took a cab back to the airport to see if I could see a doctor. I rang the bell and an EMT came out and asked what was wrong. They took me right back and treated me so respectfully and so well. The doctor came out promptly and together we both concluded it was a kidney stone. I got two pain injections which worked like magic. I've struggled with kidney stones for 25 years and never had the pain relief I got from these medications. When it was time to go we asked what we owed them and were told nothing. Just feel better and enjoy the rest of my trip. That was so awesome! They also provide large strollers for people with children. They're not baby-sized, but you can put a tired 7-year-old in one of these strollers. I don't have little kids, but I could certainly see that people appreciate it them. There are plenty of places to grab food or shop. The one strange and not so great thing about this airport, though, is that you go through security at your gate--meaning that once you go through security you are behind glass at your gate. The bad thing about this is that you can't buy water in the airport take it with you on the plane because it's taken away at the gate security. There is a vending machine at the gate, but the choices are limited. All in all, I'd say this airport has more to offer than almost any other airport I've been to.

Self-checking my bags was quick and easy. Security was also quick. Since I was traveling within the Schengen, there were no ID checks during the entire process. There were numerous eateries at typical airport prices, from coffee shops, cafes. Food quality was ok. Departure was on-time!

Martin was there to hold my hand every step of the way and was of great assistance when our passports were stolen on a train on the way to Budapest. Even that experience didn't spoil the trip. Our second trip was to Naples and the Amalfi Coast. Once again GRT came through with flying colors. Typically each city is introduced to you the morning after your arrival. An exceptional guide will greet you at your hotel to take you on a walking tour based on your personal interests. What could be better? GRT provides an amazing day by day digital guide for you entire trip. These include walking directions for when you are out and about on your own. With GPS and Goggle maps one can plot these points on one's own but GRT does so much more: tips for great stopping points, activities, and food paced as you like and in the proper order to avoid backtracking and days when sites are closed. Martin listened to my concerns regarding my husbands mobility issues and arranged for a private car and driver for longer outings and day trips. We thoroughly enjoyed all of the recommended hotels. They were perfectly located for the activities we enjoy. September 2024 was our third trip with GRT, this time for three weeks in Spain. We had traveled to parts of Spain in the past so wanted assistance with a very customized itinerary. Martin and the rest of the team did a magnificent job making the trip and experience as hassle free and wonderful as possible. I realize that this high praise may make me sound like the marketing director of GRT but I assure you that I have not benefitted in any way for my review. It's just my way of thanking GRT for their dedication to providing an excellent peronalised product in a friendly and efficient manner. I look forward to working with them again in the future. Who can say that about a travel company?? Martin was our representative from the company for both trips and was accessible to answer my questions -- and make changes to our itineraries practically up to the last minute. He worked with me (and I don't think I'm the easiest person to work with!) and made great suggestions as to how to make both trips absolutely the best. My husband and I travel frequently and don't like "group" tours and this company allows you to travel on your own, but with ground transportation, hotels and guides booked in advance. As for the guides, I have never had such wonderfully informed guides and it was a pleasure to have private tours everywhere we went. Interestingly, in Croatia our drivers were just as informed as our guides, which made the trip even better. Now that the pandemic is over, we look forward to working with Martin and Go Real Europe soon!

I have lived in Prague for twelve years and have seen the evolution of train travel here, which started with old, very dilapidated trains, to now, where we have LEO. LEO is hands down the best carrier in the Czech Republic. They are a private firm. Trains are new, and it is honestly more like being on an airplane than a train. The prices are incredibly reasonable especially considering their top level service. And the food prices on board are reasonable, no rip off prices. If they are late, which is rare, they apologize on board! Their premium class is unreal-six seats in plush leather, and it's a quiet zone. Well worth the added expense. It is by far the most luxurious train experience in the Czech Republic-I only wish they traveled West to Germany as well. If you go premium book early as these sell out quickly. You can cancel even last minute. I had to cancel one order last week from Ukraine and could not call, however I sent an email to them, and they responded literally within 3 minutes and canceled for me, you cannot ask for better service than this. Their English is great too in case you don't speak Czech. They travel even to Poland and Ukraine, via train and then bus. Staff is very courteous.

We asked to order 5 times each time they said of course and walked away and came back an hour later after we flagged them down. We tried flagging them down many times but got ignored majority of the times. We were actually able to order but the worker said he would be right back and never came back with food. Terrible staff who don't deserve the any pay at all they don't do their jobs in the first place on checking tickets they just sit there twiddling their thumbs for hours. Along side of the terrible service and staff the train has constant delays. Never ride this again I would rather spend hundreds on a bolt. Never again would I take this train.

Metro Malostranská is situated next to the gardens of Wallenstein Palace. It is on Line A only…read more In terms of overall decor and look of the station, this is one of my favourite stations on the network that I visited during my time in Prague. I like the green, silver and bronze on the platform, and the statue right by the escalators to get in and out of the station made it feel very grand. Due to the river being close by, there is only one entrance, the big advantage of this is it's harder to get lost coming out of the station, if you or a friend heads out the wrong exit. The station may also be useful for those visiting Prague Castle, as it is only 500 meters away, although that route did involve a large number of steps so I wouldn't recommend it. PRO TIP: Remember the Prague Metro REQUIRES a ticket but lacks a ticket gate, remember to purchase and validate your ticket from the machines by the entrance or risk a large fine.

For me Malostranska is where its at. There is a nice restaurant, its dry, safe and clean and as European metro's go that is great. The tram stops directly outside it. If you time it right you can be in the airport in about 30-40 minutes from here for only 32 kn. The ticket booth is just before the barriers. You must purchase your ticket from the mahine on the wall and its in several languages. The booth is manned sometimes but you cannot purchase tickets from here, he will give you advise if you need

Signage was slightly tricky to get onto the tram. There were automated ticket counters at the train station although it wasn't too clear which direction each stairwell was to get down to the local tram. There were a bunch of shops, restaurants, and coffee shops right beneath the platform and it was quite busy.

This is the main train station in Prague, located conveniently in the eastern section of the city…read morecenter, walkable to many well-known local sites, including the Opera House directly to the south a block away, the Natural History Museum two blocks away, and the famous Zegar astronomiczny Praga (Prague astronomy clock tower) 15 minutes away by foot, in the main old town square. The station itself is a combination of old and new, originally built in the 1860s in a Renaissance Revival style, named the Emperor Franz Joseph Station the royalty by whose decree the station was built. Its current facade on the upper level east side was built between 1901 and 1909, in an Art Nouveau style. It's the largest station in addition to the largest Art Nouveau landmark in the Czech Republic. The dome is a work of art and I'm a little sad I missed it, though the pictures look elegantly restrained in its details. Major work on the station occurred in 1928 when the station and train lines began conversion to electricity. Post WWI additional tracks were added, then post WWII--after competitions to select designs for a new station, underground railway and check-in halls--a new terminal building was built between 1972-79 including an underground metro station, the first of its kind in Prague. Additional construction happened to replace tracks 1983-94, and continued modernization and maintenance 2006-2017. Given the two different structures and about two dozen above ground and additional underground tracks, this station is pretty large and has multiple levels. Recommend taking that into account when arriving to catch your next form of transportation. Both entrances have loops in front of the entrances for vehicles to circle and pick up passengers. The Art Nouveau building is located at the upper level, and has a large adjacent car park in front of it (or really on the roof of the lower level), that doubles as a bus stop* for multiple local and regional lines, and pickups for ride shares and bus tours. Most major railway routes within the Czech Republic and connecting to adjacent countries stop here, and you can also transfer to metro line C Hlavní nádraží station (separate ticket needed--easy to purchase at machines in the metro station). There are plenty of shops, restaurants and amenities inside, though since the immediate surrounding area is a park, you'll need to walk a few blocks away to reach other stores, hotels, and restaurants, though all in all still very convenient. Overall I found the station clean, with clear signage in Czech and English, pretty easy to navigate. I read some reddit threads on the potential sketchiness of the park in the nighttime around the station; did see some homeless folks though also saw people that looked like they were sitting on benches and hanging out. Of course best to be wary of your surroundings in an unfamiliar city, though coming from NYC it was pretty mild and I didn't feel unsafe. *this is not the main bus station though, that's about 15 minutes walking north of the train station.
