So glad we did. The booking process is simple and effective. As we got through customs into the arrival hall our driver was waiting with his distinctive orange sign with my name on it. He promptly escorted us to the awaiting Mercedes sedan and dropped us at our hotel 20 minutes later complete with a copy of an insiders guide to Prague. I referred to this a lot during our stay!! They also provide a free guided walking tour but we opted to walk on our own. Departure pick up was established and our driver arrived at our hotel 15 minutes early and whisked us off to the airport. For just over $20? Are you kidding me? Why use a shared shuttle or the notorious rip off Prague cabbies. This is the way to do it. The only way.

Unfortunately it was not the best experience. Our pick up time was 4 pm, Prague-time. I made sure we were in the lobby a few minutes before in case they were early so we could take advantage of a break in the rain we had been receiving that day. But there was no Old Car. After 15 minutes without a car and no word from the company, I sent an email to them and received a response that the car was minutes away. It did not arrive until after 430, nearly the time that our 40-minute ride would be coming to an end. As an apology, the driver had a bottle of prosecco. Very nice, but I don't drink. My traveling companions had some but it was a rainy, windy day so it wasn't the best choice in terms of beverage selections! We started with the top down but soon after we needed to pull over and put it on because the rain started up again. If it's raining, you might as well tool around Prague in an Uber because it's hard to see anything or take any pictures. The blankets supplied helped keep us warm and dry-ish but really dampened the entire experience. Had the driver come on time, it would have been a dry ride and a completely different experience.

We booked "The Best of 2 Countries in 1 Day: Bohemian and Saxon (Easy Tour)", through Viator…read more Below is a summary of the issues that we experienced with The Best of 2 Countries in 1 Day (easy) tour by Bohemian Tours: 1. In all of the literature that we found on the Viator website, we selected only that we wanted the EASY tour. If this tour would have been listed as moderate or difficult, we would have never booked this tour. I feel that Bohemian Tours misled and misrepresented their hikes on this tour. NONE of the hikes should have been listed as EASY!!!! The Kamenice River hike should have been listed as moderate to difficult while the Pravcicka Gate should have been listed as difficult to very difficult and not moderate. The only hike that came close to being listed correctly was the Bastel Bridge and with the many stairs, that should have also been labeled as moderate. Again I feel that Bohemian Tours misrepresented the difficultly of these hike and the tour itself. 2. We did receive an update letter from Bohemian Tours less that 24 hours before our tour was to begin. This means that the email came to us after the 24 hour free cancellation period had already passed. In this email Bohemian tours went into more details of the difficulty of the Kamenice River hike with a description of navigating steep hills during the hike. In all of my time I have never came across an EASY hike that has navigating of steep hills all the way to the bottom!!!! Their comment that this was a hike in nature and not in the city was outrageous and deceptive!!! Bohemian tours told us that nature walks are classified differently to city walks. This is the first time that I have heard of this and just added insult to a bad situation. 3. Our tour guide from Bohemian Tours did pick us up at the prescribed time in front of the Prague Marriott. He put all eight of us in the van and started our drive to the first site. After driving for 90 plus minutes, we stopped for a rest break. At that time the tour guide gathered our small group of four together that had signed up for the easy tour and told us the following and gave us the options: He was combining the tours (Difficult and Easy) tours together. We never did agree to this and from his information that he provided to us, it sounded as if this has been done many times before by Bohemian Tours. The options he gave us were that we could upgrade our tour and do the Pravcicka Gate hike, or we could wait for him and the rest of the group at the trailhead (for 2.5 hours), or we could walk back to town of Hrensko and do what they say would be a self guided tour again waiting for the other group for at least 2.5 hours. This was a good way to say you are on your own until we get back!!!!! You need to be careful with Bohemian Tours and read between the lines. Self guided tour means that you are being dropped in a very small town and told to wait until they can get back with the difficult group to continue the tour. 4. On the 90 minute drive, our tour guide gave us waivers to sign and date and needed them back when we stopped at the rest stop. This was done before the guide gathered our small group and discussed our options and informed us about the changes in our tour. If this option would have been given to us before we left the Prague Marriott, we could have decided to forgo the tour and stay and enjoy the day in Prague. By waiting till we were 90 plus minutes away from Prague, the option of returning to Prague was taken away from us. Two of us elected to do the hike to Pravcicka Gate as we were stuck and felt like we were given no choice but to sit and wait. Two members of our group was DUMPED at the trail head and told to be back at the van in 2.5 hours. Again a change to the tour that we had not agreed or was not in the original documentation. Two of our members after trying and do the activities became ill and it took two days for them to regain their strength to continue. Bottom line is that the tour was a pure waste of time for us and it really cost us two days of our vacation. 5. When we drove to lunch, the Bohemian Tour guide starting give us more information about the hike to the river. He told me that it was NOT and easy hike and had told his management that the description should have been changed to at least a moderate or difficult hike. We went about half way down and knowing how difficult it was, all four of us turned around and headed back to the top as we did not want to delay the rest of the tour. 5. When I questioned the tour guide as to why he did not disclose this information to us before we left the Prague Marriott, he indicated and knew that if we got 90 plus minutes away from Prague it would have been impossible for us to ask to drive back to Prague. He provided the history of the area and showed the camp, and fortress (the crematorium was closed on Saturday). While I really had no desire to see a concentration camp, being there and understanding how this once resort town for the rich was turned into a ghetto where Jews were sent by Nazis to work and dies was educational. In person, it was chilling to see how in a city (Prague) where a former KING had invited Jews to live peacefully for a few hundred years in community with neighbors could be ravaged in less than a decade by stealing property and sending community members to die. The highlight of the tour, for me, was walking through the interior of the fortress. Because Terezin had been a fortress around a town and in which at present there is an educational institution, this concentration camp may differ from other in Germany proper. Patrik took us through the museum which held objects, and other displays from the camp. The humanity of those held as slaves by the Nazis shows through in the posters, pictures and attempts to try to "normalize" the hell created. Take time to look at the exhibits there. The most depressing part of this tour were the headstones with the names of those who "came through" the gates and perished. For judges in the USA who are faced with anti-semites who claim there holocaust did not happen and perpetrate hate crimes, should be able to sentence the guilty to tour camps and help, In short, book and take a tour with this company.

The definite highlight was the Kutna Hora (Bone) church although we ended up visiting a few churches. Lunch at Dacicky was very good. You had your choices from pork knuckle to Duck to Beef Cheeks & some vegetarian options. Our guide Brandon was awesome! He was very knowledgeable & had some great stories & took care of us. If you are lucky enough to get Brandon, make sure you get his Prague list of recommendations for restaurants, attractions, etc. There were about 20 in the tour group and a second in Spanish tour group-so total about 40 on a coach bus. Bring your walking shoes as we walked to all the sites after we visited the church. ( & their is about a 15 minutes walk from Old town center to the bus) A great way to see some of the sites outside of Prague. Would highly recommend Brandon & Sandeman's.

The tour description included a visit to the Jewish part of the City. The only time we knew about this was when the guide in the bus driving us to the Castle mentioned that we had passed the Jewish Quarter - this bus driver has missed his calling as he drove like he was in the Le Mans race. Our guide, Michaela, was very friendly but unfortunately she was too obsessed and focussed on the architectural aspects of all the buildings and statutes we went past which after a while became a total blur. She did not spent any time on the points of interest to tourists, in other words, we did not get a feeling for what the history and unique aspects of Prague were all about and for that matter, we learned very little about Prague. We did have the feeling that she was not knowledgeable about anything relating to the Prague environment with the exception of the players in the historical architectural field. Most of the many hours were spent walking and others in our tour commented on this as they also thought that more time would be spent driving. Also, we seemed to have been passed on to at least 3 different tour companies as the day went on and our tour was covering not only English speaking guests but also a couple of Spanish speakers - as a result our guide spent additional time which is not what we were told. Overall we felt that the cost of CZK 1200 per person was not worth it and we left the tour just as ignorant about Prague as when we started. Do not take this tour!

I was in Munich and figuring out a way to get to Prague on public transport. I did not want to fly…read moresince it was so close, and I was going to take the train. However, the trains were requiring a connection and a bunch of weird requirements. Plus I was traveling with two bags. I was thinking about the bus shuttle from Munich Station and finally googled taxis and there are plenty of car services that will take you to Prague. Originally I was a bit concerned because there were not a lot of reviews on MyEuroTaxi.com but i decided to try it. 1. Great response and very timely. 2. Nice car. I was only one person so they sent a Mercedes Sedan. 3. Charges - They charge by the car, not person, so if you have a large party and require a van, it can be quite economical. 4. Convenience - I was able to conduct business calls and make notes while driving as the mobile connectivity was very good. We were able to stop just after the border for a coffee and using the restroom for a few minutes. 5. The drive was fantastic, you can go really fast on the Autobahn at certain points and we got to the hotel in Prague in under 4 hours. More like 3.5 hours. This was less time that taking a plane and I was very comfortable. No security, no passport, no baggage issues. In the end, i paid the taxi driver by credit card, gave him a tip and was on my way. Fresh, relaxed and ready to rock and roll. I would use them again if I am traveling to and from Prague to nearby cities. I say give them a shot and try them out!

Martin was there to hold my hand every step of the way and was of great assistance when our passports were stolen on a train on the way to Budapest. Even that experience didn't spoil the trip. Our second trip was to Naples and the Amalfi Coast. Once again GRT came through with flying colors. Typically each city is introduced to you the morning after your arrival. An exceptional guide will greet you at your hotel to take you on a walking tour based on your personal interests. What could be better? GRT provides an amazing day by day digital guide for you entire trip. These include walking directions for when you are out and about on your own. With GPS and Goggle maps one can plot these points on one's own but GRT does so much more: tips for great stopping points, activities, and food paced as you like and in the proper order to avoid backtracking and days when sites are closed. Martin listened to my concerns regarding my husbands mobility issues and arranged for a private car and driver for longer outings and day trips. We thoroughly enjoyed all of the recommended hotels. They were perfectly located for the activities we enjoy. September 2024 was our third trip with GRT, this time for three weeks in Spain. We had traveled to parts of Spain in the past so wanted assistance with a very customized itinerary. Martin and the rest of the team did a magnificent job making the trip and experience as hassle free and wonderful as possible. I realize that this high praise may make me sound like the marketing director of GRT but I assure you that I have not benefitted in any way for my review. It's just my way of thanking GRT for their dedication to providing an excellent peronalised product in a friendly and efficient manner. I look forward to working with them again in the future. Who can say that about a travel company?? Martin was our representative from the company for both trips and was accessible to answer my questions -- and make changes to our itineraries practically up to the last minute. He worked with me (and I don't think I'm the easiest person to work with!) and made great suggestions as to how to make both trips absolutely the best. My husband and I travel frequently and don't like "group" tours and this company allows you to travel on your own, but with ground transportation, hotels and guides booked in advance. As for the guides, I have never had such wonderfully informed guides and it was a pleasure to have private tours everywhere we went. Interestingly, in Croatia our drivers were just as informed as our guides, which made the trip even better. Now that the pandemic is over, we look forward to working with Martin and Go Real Europe soon!
