Hi! I had a bad experience with student agency as well, they actually found my iPad mini in the bus and the stewardess and the driver kept it! This happened all 1 month before and then we found it but they had already deleted everything! After we (me and my boyfriend) forgot our ipad in the bus from prague to berlin, the next day we called several times in the "lost and found" department. They told me nothing was found and that they even checked the bus! The 3rd time we called the lady seemed disturbed and annoyed so I didnt try to call again. Thus, the next day, my boyfriend went to the station and found the same bus driver and he asked him if any ipad was found. The driver told him that they didn't clean the bus afterwards because there were only 5 people traveling so they didnt find anything. Of course, this was a lie. What the staff of student agency didnt know is that me and my boyfriend have been living in Prague for 7 years and speak & understand Czech very well. In addition, we had been traveling to Berlin with student agency more than 10 times a month because we were moving from Prague to Berlin. So we knew almost all staff on this route and could remember them well. Additionally, the stewardess who kept the ipad was very rude that day, I would never forget her. Now listen to the fun part ! One day, EXACTLY after one month (12 December 2013) my boyfriend traveled to Prague with student agency in order to go to his uni and guess what ! The same stewardess and the same driver were in the bus and the stewardess was holding an iPad. So, my smart bf fortunately sat in the 2nd seat in order to keep the ipad in his sight and to make sure its ours. We made a plan to wait a couple of hours until the station in Dresden where he would take the ipad and check the serialnumber. Fortunately, he didnt have to do anything. These people were so stupid that they made it easier for us. The bus driver, since he had spoken to my boyfriend personally a month ago, recognized him and said to the stewardess "You will not believe who's behind you! " Since my bf was only speaking in english til now, the driver didn't know that my boyfriend understood everything. But now we were sure the ipad is ours. So he told the stewardess "May I ask you something?" and grabbed the ipad from her bag. She didnt do anything to prevent that and she was continuously claiming that she bought it. If you had bought it my dear, you wouldn't let a stranger to take it out of your bag! We immediately called the Czech police and the firm, so when my boyfriend arrived in Prague, the police and manager were already waiting for them in the station. We gave all info and evidence to police but nothing has been done yet. The stewardess still claims that she bought it from some junky in the station before 1 or 2 weeks but we checked the safari history and other sites and saw that it couldnt be possible since the last sync was exactly before a month and she already used the ipad 6 days after it was missing (according to safari history). Generally,I know that they steal alot in the Czech Republic. I know that because my dad has his businesses there for over 20 years and I lived and studied there for almost 6 years. I have seen and caught many times our staff stealing from either customers, our shops,or even their own co-workers. It is a common phenomenon in the Czech Republic. So normally it wouldnt be a really big deal for me. But that what made me angry was that we were desperately calling the "lost and found" department. And we even contacted the staff personally. And they continued to lie. Additionally, the stewardess (who still works in the company btw) was not only rude, but also a thief! She deleted all my data, photos, videos, works and university stuff which I never transferred to any computer (since the ipad was relatively new) and she made it all new, in Czech, with a new Apple ID as well. My boyfriend contacted again the manager of student agency and according to him, he can not fire anybody unless the police proves their guilt. The police on the other hand, told us that it will still take a long time until they will know. I really dont understand that since its that obvious! The same staff, the same bus, the same freaking route (Berlin-Prag), all the info in the ipad, their conversations in Czech and so on and so on..I will probably handle that matter with the German police since afterall I dont believe that the Czech police will take any actions (again, because of personal experience). Finally,I would like to ask you guys for your opinion. In this case my ipad was taken from the firm's staff. Who is responsible for that? The firm, that didnt take any actions (like camera on bus or make clear the role of the "lost and found" department) to prevent their employees from keeping the customers' personal items, or, the staff, that managed to work together (driver-stewardess) and to keep it secret from the firm ? I bought a 2200czk ticket with them on their English webpage and paid extra 250czk to carry my bike. Surprise when I take the bus: they refuse to take the bike because it is not dismounted. I say surprise, because when I checked the "bike" option nothing said anything about this. But knowing that Eurolines does ask you to dismount and pack the bag, I had even tried to look for their term & conditions in order to make sure they didn't request the same, but as you can see on the following page: http://www.studentagency.eu/, there is no link redirecting you there. Neither did the bike space booking confirmation I've been emailed. After some discussion, they finally accept to take it as it is, but show me some printed English version of their T&C saying bikes have to be dismounted and packed. Now back home, I have double checked, and the only mention of this bike packaging thing on their English page is IN CZECH!!! So basically, I'm now over 500czk out of pocket because they are not capable to have a properly translated English page. To find it, you need to go on the Czech website, select T&C there (which you clearly won't do if you don't understand Czech), and then have the page translated in English. Anyways, at least as they let me on board with the bike, no big deal right ? Next morning, I arrive in Brno, where I'm supposed to change bus. So I'm standing there with a 20kg backpack on my back, a 15kg one in front of me and striving to hold the bike. The driver looks at me and litterally shouts to me in Czech. He keeps putting people suitcases on the bus, but apparently judges I'm not getting out of the way fast enough (you know, you tend to be a bit slow with 35kg on your back and a bike in one hand...) so he just kicks the bike, making me loose my balance and nearly fall (YES, THIS IS HOW THOSE PEOPLE TREAT CUSTOMERS AND WOMEN !!!). So I go to the stewardess, incredibly rude too, she says they can't carry it. I mean, staff from the previous bus could, and my bike already has a sticker on it to prove it, but well, whatever, she just doesn't care and doesn't even look at me. When I say then you will have to refund me, she sends me to the office. There, surprise, not only I can't take the bus I've already paid for, but they can not refund my ticket (apparently, it's my fault if they are not capable to have a proper English page !) - not even the extra I have paid to carry the bike !!! (while there was plenty of space for it). Go back to the stewardess, who goes and speaks herself to the office lady. Not sure what happens there, but after a discussion and a phone call I don't understand, they still can't let me on the bus nor give me any refund (" I had to do it online 2 hours before departure ". I politely asked how was I supposed to know this, since I was already on their Florence-Brno bus at that time - and so was my bike, btw). Understanding that it's useless to try to talk with those crooks (that and the fact that the bus has left in the meantime) , I have to walk to the train station and take the train back to Prague. I'd like to point out that Cesky Drahy's staff, even though they hardly spoke English, was incredibly friendly and helpful, and even helped me to get the bike on and out the train (rather that kicking me so I get out of the way). I travel pretty much twice a month and used StudentAgency quite often in the past without any major trouble with them (the wifi they advertise usually doesn't work, but they are usually on time), but after this horrible customer service experience and incredible rudeness, NEVER AGAIN ! read more
