The airport personal are efficient and have great English. Always a help!! We used Fast Pass for Security & have European Passports... so at a major advantage. They have a huge Duty Free to browse. We used the Business Lounge and again... small but has everything you could want. Great coffee & a nice selection of breakfast items. Overall my experience at Prague Airport in The Czech Republic was great.

They were amazingly patient with some folks ahead of me: definitely would have tested the TSA's resistance to yelling at them. I didn't experience much of the shopping and dining here but it seemed very generic and non-descript. You'll see stores selling "local" products that are quite pricey, regular chain restaurants, and some duty-free. I only went to the grocery store before security and it was okay, though I'm sure there was an upcharge for the location. The bathrooms are meh but I've seen worse. They're not the cleanest, but, not disasters. The airport has these uber stations to arrange for a ride. I just used my phone and relied on a hot spot. Uber pickup for me was upstairs on the second floor departure level, strangely.

I…read morewill say that this airport tends to be quiet and less busy compared to other airports I've been in, which was kind of nice. This airport has its own cafeteria. I kind of looks like an Ikea cafeteria. We had made to order omelets, coffee, cake, and even salad from a salad bar at really inexpensive prices. That's quite a bonus for the airport to subsidize this cafeteria. There is a mother and baby room, with an area to change babies, sit and nurse babies, any playroom for baby and toddlers. They also have a doctor available at the airport. Unfortunately, I was hit with a very painful kidney stone shortly after we arrived to our hotel. We took a cab back to the airport to see if I could see a doctor. I rang the bell and an EMT came out and asked what was wrong. They took me right back and treated me so respectfully and so well. The doctor came out promptly and together we both concluded it was a kidney stone. I got two pain injections which worked like magic. I've struggled with kidney stones for 25 years and never had the pain relief I got from these medications. When it was time to go we asked what we owed them and were told nothing. Just feel better and enjoy the rest of my trip. That was so awesome! They also provide large strollers for people with children. They're not baby-sized, but you can put a tired 7-year-old in one of these strollers. I don't have little kids, but I could certainly see that people appreciate it them. There are plenty of places to grab food or shop. The one strange and not so great thing about this airport, though, is that you go through security at your gate--meaning that once you go through security you are behind glass at your gate. The bad thing about this is that you can't buy water in the airport take it with you on the plane because it's taken away at the gate security. There is a vending machine at the gate, but the choices are limited. All in all, I'd say this airport has more to offer than almost any other airport I've been to.

Arrived to the…read moreairport via the bus/tram 59 and it was merely an escalator ride up to the departure terminal. The bus/tram 59 comes every 3-4 minutes! Self-checking my bags was quick and easy. Security was also quick. Since I was traveling within the Schengen, there were no ID checks during the entire process. There were numerous eateries at typical airport prices, from coffee shops, cafes. Food quality was ok. Departure was on-time!

The Metro Station its-self isn't too attractive, I do like the artwork on the platforms which adds a bit more boldness and uniqueness, as is typical at most of the Metro stations I used during my time in Prague. I did not notice any lifts, however, there are escalators provided. The escalators are really fast though, I was shocked getting on them for the first time and almost fell, so you do need to get on a steady step quickly, it did feel a little unsafe but on the other hand it did speed up entry to the platforms. Reasonable Metro station that provides connections to other modes of public transportation, or more central into Prague in very little time, while being useful for guests at hotels nearby including the Hilton. 3*

Opened in 1986, the station is in great condition. There is a large escalator from the surface to the ticketing and platform level where a single island platform separates the two tracks. On one side, the next stop is Můstek (toward Zličín) and on the other side, the next stop is Florenc (toward Černý Most). Metro Staroměstská is on Line A of the Prague Metro, the station opened in 1978 and is showing its…read moreage slightly, as it opened as part of the inaugural section of Line A, between Leninova and Náměstí Míru. The location of the station is good for tourists wishing to visit Charles Bridge, as it is just a short walk away from one of Prague's most crowded tourist attractions. The overall layout/look/feel of the stop is typical to most other stations on the network, no thrills, even down to the departure boards which I found a little confusing but it does the trick, as you're not going to have to spend long here waiting for a service. It is also an unstaffed station. It is easy to follow the layout of the station as long as you're able to head down the steps from street level to the platform due to a lack of a lift. PRO TIP: Remember the Prague Metro REQUIRES a ticket but lacks a ticket gate, remember to purchase and validate your ticket from the machines by the entrance or risk a large fine. The platform area is pleasant with red moulds. 3*

While it does have escalators, it is not handicapped accessible. It is located under Kaprova street in the Old Town district near the Old Jewish Cemetery and the Rudolfinum nearby. The platform is quite lovely with white stone and red and gold aluminum moldings. It is clean and well lit. Vaclav Havel Airport Prague - Terminal 1 is also one big airport and still easy to navigate. We were leaving from and the process could not have been easier. we needed (and wanted) lunch and luckily we went to =o the lounge where we had plenty to choose from. They have plenty of restaurants and choices here. So this helped round out an easy voyage. It's was also a very easy to access from the airport from where we were staying... about a 45 minute drive. Our only issue was man-made... we had two big bags packed as heavy as we were allowed. We even had to purchase a duffle bag to lighted and stretch out the load. There was lots of duty free shopping opportunities within the airport, but never felt overwhelmed with the amount of people you would see at a JFK, Atlanta or LAX. Easy mobility throughout. Plenty of clean bathrooms and no charge Wi-Fi that were now seeing in most airports both nationally and internationally. This is always a nice finishing touch while you're waiting for your plane to board. What more could you ask for? Flying in and out of Prague, our experience was great. Started with an early flight and a quick stop into the lounge for a light bite. Clean and easy to find. On to security, passport control and finding our gate...easy and quick! Made the airport experience overall great. Can't wait to visit Prague again!
