It was about to be our final day in Prague and while we had an amazing time, we tried to fit too many things into a short time. Our last full day had a wine festival taking place nearby that we really wanted to go to, but we had slated that day to see all the typical tourist sites. We couldn't leave Prague without seeing the dancing house or Charles bridge, but we didn't have time to do it all. So we decided to go to the wine festival first thing in the morning (gates opened at 10am) and book an old car tour in the afternoon. It worked out perfectly!
We came home from the festival mid afternoon after having a few glasses of wine and too much sun, took a quick power nap, and got downstairs to meet our driver. The cars are super cool and it was perfect weather for a top down experience. It says you can fit five people, but I would say four max. We only had two and it was a nice experience and we could spread out. It was sometimes hard to hear our guide because of the road noise, but we prefered to sit further away because you're not facing backwards. We went to all the major sights and stopped at the palace to get out and take some photos. Having a friend with me who has a bit of mobility issues (can't do tons of walking) this was the perfect solution to fit in a day of sightseeing in just a short time. We booked on GetYourGuide and did the 1.5 hour tour and our driver was Elis... he was great and full of information.
If I could make any suggestions it would be to maybe have a microphone/speaker situation for the riders in the back to hear better, and when we were at the palace, I saw another car and everyone all had beers in the back. I wish I had knew that was an option, because we could have brought something. read more
