Visit Date: July 28, 2025 into July 29, 2025…read more My boyfriend's family was staying here for their Summer Vacation. My boyfriend was there from Monday to Wednesday, my son and I came out to stay Monday night into Tuesday and we left Tuesday night because I had a notary class the next day on July 30. I did love it here, my one issue was not enough parking. They only allowed one car per room to park on the property. I had so much stuff with me because I was not only packed for one night in Wildwood but packed for the next week without my son in case I ended up sleeping over anywhere. I usually don't sleep over anyone's house but my sister's but I always carry extra clothes on nights I won't have my son in case I end up being offered to sleep at a friend's house or something I'm prepared. So because of my issues with being prepared and having too much stuff when I found out I couldn't park at the hotel I had a mini heart attack on the inside. When I got to the hotel, I had to figure out what I needed and unload my car and than I ended up parking the car 3 blocks away. I am not sure if they can arrange more parking, I don't know if it's possible but it's the one gripe I have. The room my boyfriend, son and I stayed in had a king size bed. I bought a cot for my son to sleep on but my son ended up at the end of the bed because he didn't want to sleep in the cot, I ended up in the middle of the bed and my boyfriend ended up at the other end of the bed. The 3 of us fit lol. The room had a kitchenette. I love the rooms with the kitchenettes. I like to bring groceries with me on trips so I can save money on food out so anyplace that has a kitchenette I love. I bought regular coffee to brew and were dismayed to learn they had a keurig, if I knew that I would have bought some of my disposable k cups with me. It ended up being okay they had starbucks k cups that they provided and I was more than happy to drink that. They had a pretty nice pool. I didn't get to visit the beach but I heard they provided beach accessories. This hotel was also located at the end of the boardwalk and very close to it. I would stay here again if I were given a chance.

As a Bonvoy member, I really don't get to branch out from the mundane, generic hotel scene when I travel (almost every week ‍), but in the sleepy little Coast Guard town of Cape May, NJ, I had no Marriott options. While Yelping for another option, I came across this absolute gem. Just the picture online drew me in, and the price seemed outrageously low (guessing off season). Booked rooms for myself and some colleagues and couldn't have been happier! Of course I took the ocean view room with a balcony, claw foot tub, turn of the century charm, etc. The room was spacious, warm, comfortable, and I literally melted into the perfect king sized bed. Had a cup of coffee on the balcony in the morning listening to the gentle sounds of the ocean and gulls. Unfortunately due to my work schedule I couldn't stay for the comped breakfast in the gorgeous dining room, but next time for sure! The staff, as well, couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating. My recommendation, you ask??? Make this a vacation destination, especially on the romantic side! You won't be disappointed Cheers, Jim

Our room was conveniently located, quaint, and clean. In the morning, we enjoyed their complimentary breakfast, which included three breakfast entrees, fresh fruit, yogurt to start, and, of course, freshly brewed coffee. Our waitress was kind and efficient, as was the manager who oversaw everything. She was also very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this place, which is a hop, skip, and a jump to the beach! :)

The big problem, and something we have never encountered before in our decades of travel - the toilet. It was like child height!!!! Seriously - we are normal size adults and it was the lowest, most awkward toilet we have ever encountered. Personally, I have knee issues, and any toilets are fine - except this one! I had such issues with this ridiculously low toilet that my knees were so much worse. I was planning on mentioning this when we checked out around 8:40am on Sunday, but the office was locked, and there was only a key drop. (It was actually full, and anyone could have stuck their hand in the box and pulled out some keys! We would come back, if they get normal height toilets!

This was our 1st stay at Periwinkle Inn. We don't come to Cape May often from PA so we don't have…read morepoint of reference to compare. This time I'm traveling with my best female friend so we wanted a space we could be together in, but also have separate space for sleeping. We found that here at Periwinkle Inn in their E3 room. What I loved: the staff...nicest people, easy to communicate with, & receptive to questions and resolving concerns. Check-in process was a breeze! Our room wasn't ready so they just called me when it was. Parking available on site with easy access. Our GPS brought us in around the back & we parked on the side. Handicapped parking, elevator, & outdoor ramp made easy access. Didn't hear our neighbors in the rooms next to us unless they were on their patio. Patio or decks for all rooms. Comfortable beds not to firm or soft. Water pressure in the shower is strong. Pool is clean & well maintained. Tons of loungers to relax outside. DIRECT BEACH ACCESS! Literally beach access #8 is directly across from the Periwinkle so we didn't have to carry chairs, etc a long distance. In fact, we didn't move our car all weekend. We brought our own coffee maker to make a pot but a single cup system is in the room along with a burner with pots & pans, utensils, toaster, dish soap & drying rack, 2 tvs comfortable couch, and 2 different types of curtains across the sliding glass door just to name a few amenities. What I didn't like: room doors face out & we were at the top of the stairs. It made me feel vulnerable so at night we took the living room chair & placed it in front of the door. The shower and toilet are in their own very tiny space. No ventilation so best to leave the door open when showering but when you're living with a person you'd rather not see you naked then be prepared to feel claustrophobic. The towels are old & showing signs that they need replaced. They are not big enough to wrap around your body. If you shave your legs, there are no ledges or foot placement. Best you can do is take your own shower stool or leave the shower to prop that foot up on the toilet seat. The temperature unit is a bit tempermental. At 68 degrees, the room felt freezing. We had to call the front desk for assistance to adjust it. One of the room units is directly over the single bed where I slept so ultimately I just turned the system off so I could sleep. It never went above 72 for the remainder of the weekend which also felt a bit chilly. The TV "guide" is from 2014 & no longer relevant. Typing in TV channel #s didn't work. We constantly had to scroll. I know we're not at the beach to watch tv BUT if it's early or late or storming it's nice to have it a bit more user friendly. Would have loved to be able to cast an app to the TV. We had room to spread out in this place. We had a puzzle going on the table. We each took a corner of the couch for reading or enjoyed chairs on the deck with our coffee in the morning. Gorgeous view of the ocean. All in all it was an affordable, comfortable place for our 3 day weekend that was filled with joy & kindness. We'd stay again.

We just wrapped up our third summer vacation staying at the Columbia House!…read more Over the past few years, Jim and Laura have been fantastic. Each year, we've had to change summer weeks for various reasons, and they have been patient and helpful with each change to make sure all their guests get a week that they are happy with. They are also incredibly responsive. On the second night of our stay, the BBQ wasn't working. We let Jim and Laura know, and they were out the next day to try to fix it. When they couldn't fix it, they went out and bought a new BBQ, and we had it in time for dinner. Last summer, we stayed a week in the Master Suite again. This year, my sister had a new baby, so we opted for a week in both the Parlor Suite and the Garden Suite (both on the first floor). These two suites are incredibly nice, and the shower in the Parlor Suite was just redone. Now, it's a gorgeous and spacious walk-in shower. Love! The Parlor Suite has a bedroom, a bathroom, and a living area with a small kitchen area and a fireplace. The Garden Suite has two bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen, and a living room (which also has a pull-out bed). The Parlor Suite also allows you to sit on the side porch- there is a door leading out to it- and the Garden Suite gives you access to the back porch. We have been incredibly happy with our summer rental through Columbia House, and I'd strongly recommend staying here! My parents have also come to Cape May during the fall and winter, and they always stay at the Columbia House. They've mentioned that it is very peaceful during the off-season and not expensive (rates can be found on their website). Two thumbs up!! We'll definitely be back next year.
