I absolutely love The Plant! After the renovations, this place is comparable to an AMC. The picture and sound quality are great and the new reclining seats are super comfy and have a little tray for all your concessions. They offer a wide variety of snacks including hot cheetos and nacho cheese, but my favorite is the classic popcorn. At a cheaper ticket price, the Plant is well worth a visit and I can only hope Regency Granada Hills is renovated next.

Not going to lie, this was my first time here... Didn't really know what to expect as it was a first. I always thought it was one of those affordable theatre that needed updating. Well, jokes on me. We stopped in for an early movie. First of the day. Parked in the plant area where all the stores were. Walking towards the theatre, I didn't even know they had a parking lot as well. That's good to know now. As it was early, tickets had to be purchase at the concession stand. I did notice that the front windows didn't have any movies times on display. Inside, I was surprised to see that it was quite nice and big. They also have the ticket machine as well. Concession stand was quite big. Only one person working. Early rush and mid week was very quiet as it was not busy. Not only the theatre, there's a good amount of video games scattered as well as a Photo Booth. Whatever brings the people in and it's nice to have something to do while you wait for your show. Inside the theatre, another shock. The seats were all nice comfy lounges. Very wide isle so you don't have to get up for someone to walk by. The seats all recline with the button on the right. There's also a swivel table with a cup holder attached to chair. The details are great. First time here and it won't a last now. Also ticket prices are good compared to some of the bigger theatre.

Regency 16 at Regency Theatres Van Nuys Plant 16 you've super grown up. This once rustic rough near a diamond is a full on shinning star in the city of Panorama City, bordering the city of Van Nuys. I haven't been here since 2014 when I saw the first Guardian's of the Galaxy and it wasn't an enjoyable experience in the slightest. I'd seen a handful of movies prior, but decided to take a step back from Regency Theaters. My friend Derrick is an avid movie goer, more so than myself so when he recommended we go here to see Weapons, I was all in and wow from the parking lot to the outside to the moment you walk in, this place feels fresh and fun. They have a soon to open bar area, arcade, concessions, immaculate floors, displays and even restrooms. We were in one of the first theaters and the seats are top tier... I was like this is better than AMC. The sound was premo and the screen picture perfect, no added framing. The previews didn't feel as long either. I know during the pandemic they started the makeover process and even had movies in the parking lot, very Drive-In style and very accomodating. It's amazing to see them reinvent themselves with Luxury Recliners Reserved Seating Reasonable ticket pricing Even more ADA compliant spacing, ramps and paths. Everything feels bigger, better and brand new. Great movies snacks including takis, hot pretzels and the classics. Not to mention fountain, bottled, canned and/or boxed drinks for refreshments. Not as much hot food or lifestyle/dietary friendly options as other theaters, but definitely improving all the time. Hope to go to lobby, grab myself a snack and enjoy more films soon with friends, bae and/or a solo date. Regency Theaters, your neighborhood Cinema. Like a good neighbor... I'll be there ;)

Haven't been here for awhile and I'm glad they renovated the seats and everything. It has plenty of parking in front and it's near the police station so I feel pretty safe. Plenty of stores nearby. Concessions are ok, bathroom is horrible! Please clean the bathroom

This place has had an upgrade! I hadn't been here in maybe 5 years and I kept seeing that it was "renovated" so I decided to check it out for myself. Let's just say it has improved so much, there's recliner chairs, new carpet, a bar and a new concessions stand. The theater is pretty clean and well maintained, only complaint is the actual screen was a bit dirty and had some streaks that were visible while watching our movie. The seats were so comfortable and the little attached table is such a plus because you now have somewhere to put your snack. They still kept their arcade area which brings back so many memories! The concessions stand looks lively and appealing. Ticket prices are fair and they even have discounted tickets on Tuesdays which is a huge plus. I will definitely be back to enjoy new movies.

Compared to other theaters I like this spot because it's more affordable. You can pick your seats when you purchase your tickets which is great. Theater is 2 stories, with a concession stand on both levels. They have the usual movie theater snacks, popcorn and drinks. The popcorn is not bad nor was the pizza but not amazing. The theaters themselves are big and spacious. The seats recline and you have so much room. Sometimes it can get a little chilly so bring a jacket. Overall great movie experience.

We saw it in theatre 5 and upon viewing other reviews, SOMEONE ELSE had this same exact issue/experience in the same theatre 10 days prior! Meaning there was no extensive cleaning done at all. On top of that, I hated that the screen for our movie was up so high you needed to crane your neck up to watch the movie even when being fully reclined back all the way in the seats. The popcorn was stale with no flavoring and I put a bit of butter because I didn't want too much fats. The pepperoni pizza was surprisingly good and cooked well. However, the rest of the experience made this movie theatre a 1 star for me instantly.

Fast forward nearly 17 years, and it is honestly shocking to see how much the place has deteriorated. Stepping inside is like walking into a time capsule that hasn't been maintained. The carpets are visibly filthy & stained, & there's a heavy, unpleasant odor as soon as you enter the auditorium. Almost like moldy, dusty feces. The seating is the worst part, the chairs are literally falling apart, covered in grime, and the armrests are in horrific condition. While these are the older stiff style seats rather than the new recliners, most of them are broken and just feel unsanitary. The screen size is also smaller compared to more modern theaters, though it gets the job done. The one saving grace of this visit was the timing. My friend and I went for an early Thursday afternoon screening and we were practically the only people there. Having the leg space was great, but it doesn't make up for the lack of cleanliness. Bottom line, If you just need a quiet place to see a movie and don't mind a ghetto vibe, it's fine. But if you're looking for comfort or a clean environment, this place desperately needs a major renovation.

I'm especially upset because I grew up coming to this exact theater all the time as a kid back when it was under Pacific Theaters. I never remember the service being this terrible, nor the theater itself being in such a sad state of disrepair. We were seated in Theater 2, in the back right-hand corner of the left section (facing the screen). The lack of upkeep is shocking. The large sound-dampening board along the wall was completely coming off and was literally touching my chair. When I tried to force it back out of my space, it looked like it was about to pop completely off the wall. Then, the moment I fully sat back and leaned into my seat, the entire front end of the chair collapsed forward, causing me to slip right off onto the floor. Because the chair was entirely broken, we had to move down a row, completely ruining our seating preference. While the broken seat ruined our comfort, I am honestly most upset about the concession service. I paid extra out of pocket for a soda when we arrived, with my card clearing the charge at 10:40 PM. When I went out to get a refill at 11:30 PM, every single soda machine had already been turned off. What makes this absolutely crazy is that it was a Saturday night--one of the busiest nights of the week--yet staff was already shutting down amenities while our movie still had an hour left and multiple auditoriums hadn't even let out. I paid for a drink that comes with refills, but I was only allowed the initial fill because the staff wanted to pre-close early. It's a shame to see a place I have so many good memories of turn into a place with hazardous seating and lazy management. AMC needs to do better.

No, but I'm fine with the overstuffed, cushy, "rockers" they do have. Only ONE TIME was the theatre NOT CLEAN prior to our movie. BUT, I have a feeling schedules were askew during the return to school week, as there were only 2 employees seen throughout the whole building, and they were RUN-NING! As a first time visitor, the street access, parking and location of the cinema was somewhat unclear. But once I found the downstairs location, it gave pleasant impressions of a simpler 80's/90's time of moviegoing without today's sometimes excessive extra amenities. This feeling was further reinforced upon seeing their offerings of previously used film posters for free taking away, bringing back great memories of old video stores and sometimes cinemas that would give that same special opportunity to patrons. Inside, the vibe is a bit worn, but still welcoming, and the pricing seems to be slightly more modest than one might expect. The film I chose was on a larger screen. The sound was not fabulous, especially for a dialogue heavy film. It was surprising to see the seats had not been upgraded to the popular recliner style. But this also fit with the laid back slightly retro vibe of the place. I hope they continue to offer curated choices for a good while to come.
