I left the place in tears. They had only one driver and one handyman for over 200 people.

Countryside is an absolute worst waste of money. You buy the mobile home and pay them a sickening…read moremonthly fee for the use of the lot. These are mostly 40 year old doublewides - 1983. Lot rent goes up every single year. Lot rent+mortgage+taxes+repairs (to keep up with)+hurricane, sinkhole and flood insurance equals a bunch going out. You are responsible for water leaks which includes the yard right up to the actual meter. Their water shut off valve didn't work when I had plumbing work done. When I called to get them to fix the problem, I was told that since I already had a plumber there to get him to fix it. No, they weren't paying to fix it, they wanted me to pay. Pool has been down for a long time. No cool dip during the hot summer months. Landscapers are ridiculous. If they do mow and edge the mess is on the trailer, your car, outdoor furniture and your driveway. Flying rocks are not a rarity. Roads are a laugh and the security of a gated community is non-existent. The problems have been going on for years! We even protested and had media reporting. While most of the neighbors were nice, things were not changing for the better. I did the same thing many of my previous neighbors did... gave the mobile home away. I wanted out from under the constant lot fees and less than professional management. Paying large lot fees and getting nothing in return wasn't working for me. Read the reviews here. We are all saying the same thing. Life as a senior should not be filled with stress.

Wonderful, supportive neighbors. Management does not believe in full disclosure. Landscapers suck; destroyed new skirting on my home, damaged my new car with flying rocks, etc. Water leak from underground pipes has cracked and destroyed my driveway. Contact with owners ELS is FRUITLESS. You do NOT want to live here!!!! Countryside deserves MINUS 10 stars!!!!!

Was an employee here, back again after 7 years, returned for almost 2 before getting fired for not…read moredoing a grown man's job, at Willowbrooke Court. This is a great place to work if your are not committed to your wife or spouse. Even better if you're a minority and cheat on your spouses. You'll basically get unlimited lives here. But god forbid management take the side of the worker who actually works, cleans and keeps to himself and doesn't bother anyone. I was written up for not doing a grown mans job one time, because "he had so much prep at night etc." Dude was out washing the residents cars/taking to nurses and other women, on the clock, during food service. He eventually got fired after the 9 or 10th investigation. The next write up was because, I worked too fast and disappeared from the kitchen too much. That was because, I was the only one they had a problem with standing around not doing anything, even if my work was done, days in advance. For about 2 months I was getting sent home early because I got done with my work early. I was the only one that that happened to. But it would have all been fine of I was a minority. And the cherry, I asked another grown man to bring up the pots and pans and untensil to the front. He just rolled the pots near where they went. So the next morning I had my morning dishes i used and places them neatly outside of the dish room on the floor. To just make a point about putting things where they needed to go, because of the lack of management turning a blind eye from issues I have brought up before. I was sent home. It took 8 days to hear from Human Resources. I had another issue I wanted to bring up and was promised a phone call later that day to schedule it. Got a call 4 days later thinking that was the phone call, instead I got fired. So it's a great place to work if you don't mind doing other people's jobs while they quater ass their work, and then you'll have to pick up their slack too, all while they cheat on their wives.

My mom has only been here about 2 1/2 weeks, I had enough with them and called her doctor. I…read moreexplained what was going on and he told me to get her out of there. She was here for physical therapy to help strengthen her legs. I will be up front, her PT person, Jason, was awesome. Great communication, friendly and did a great job getting mom up and walking again. He always answered all my questions and kept me up to date on her progress. First, my brother and I visited almost every day, we were very involved with her care and asked questions daily. Usually not getting much info. Now the bad! 1. Her toilet didn't work for 5 1/2 days. Due to this they shut the water off in her bathroom. So she also could wash up or brush her teeth. My brother would turn the water on every day he was there. I found mom brushing her teeth using a cup of water. She asked for baby wipes so she could wash up! We asked what was going on, all they kept telling us was that maintenance was working on it. I do not know if this affected other rooms. 2. She had been in the hospital for a week prior to arriving. She got here on Sunday, Monday she asked if she could take a shower. They told me her shower days were Tuesday and Thursday. So she had to wait. Tuesday night I get there after 6pm, she said no shower. I asked them about her shower, they again told me Tuesday. and Thursday. I told them she didn't get one today. She said they would do it Wednesday. morning. I get there Wednesday night, no shower. I raised hell and she finally got her shower Thursday. 3.On Monday we had brought her 5 outfits and some general hygiene items. Friday she said she needed more clothes. So I brought 6 more outfits. I was told they do laundry and bring it to her, usually takes a couple days. That was fine. Here we are the following Monday and half of her clothes were missing. When I asked I was told she got all her stuff back. Another resident overheard me and said that she will never see her clothes again, she said they take stuff from the residents. Don't know if that's true but on her last day, she was missing most of her clothing. 3. Food was not great either, I will only comment on the meals I saw her get. Which was 3 lunches and 5 dinners. Most of which she refused to eat. So I brought her a bunch of snacks and each time we visited her, we made sure we brought her either lunch or dinner depending on what time we arrived. 4. On her second day there, I noticed cracker crumbs on the floor behind her bed plus some other things, small but didn't know what they were. The day I took her out, they were still there! 5. Communication is horrible! Horrible! I called her Case Manager, Que, (Spelling might be wrong), left numerous messages. Never got a return call from her. So I called to complain about that, they told me to call and talk with the Unit Manager. Did that, I got Rebecca, she told me that was not the manager but could answer my questions. Although she was very polite, she could not answer my questions. All I got from her was, your mother is doing fine! Finally I had enough and asked for a meeting with her Case Manager, Unit Manager and Social Service person. That was scheduled for 1:45pm on Wednesday. I went to the front desk and they told me the team would meet me in my mother's room. At 2:15, I asked them to call and find out where they were. They said they would be there shortly. Two ladies came in, Social Service lady and I don't know who the other lady was. They were friendly, I expressed my concerns that I was not Able to get any info on her medical needs or anything, further explaining that her PT was the only person that would answer my questions. They took me to the desk and pulled up her file, we went through everything. It was at this time that I told them I was taking her home. Since it was Wednesday before Thanksgiving I had to wait. That's fine, I told them I would pick her up next Wednesday. I was told they would have a discharge meeting Monday morning and call me to go over her discharge. Never got that call, I called 3 times on Tuesday. Finally confirmed she was scheduled for discharge. Here's my recommendation to those of you that have loved ones at this facility. Be a constant presence, ask questions, let them know who you are. Do not let your loved one stay there longer then is needed.
