He had been in and out of intensive care while being bedridden in a different rehab and skilled nursing facility. After many months in that facility he had recovered enough to eat and swallow soft food but he was still unable to walk. Then he came to Lynmoore, just before Christmas in 2023. My wife and I live in California, so we can't visit him in Florida that often, but we did visit for a few days in June, 2024. What a difference! We walked in one day just after his physical therapy session ended; he was walking back to his room with the therapist by his side, not in his wheelchair! That never happened before. This alone would rate five stars, all gold, but there is more. During our visit we interacted with many people: the nurses, the therapists, the community engagement director, the records office, the business office, even the dining hall staff. Everyone was friendly and professional. Residents coming and going were greeted by name. The buildings were clean and well maintained. The food was good; I ordered the same thing that my brother had when we ate together in the dining room.  The affiliated home healthcare and pharmacy services are excellent; I continue to interact with them. However, there is even more to the story. My brother was in such bad shape when he first came to Lynmoore that, during our June visit, a couple of staff members admitted to me that they didn't think he would last in assisted living; he was that bad off. I truly believe he was admitted and flourished because the Wellness Director believed in him, motivated him from the very beginning, and everyone took good care of him around the clock.

This is a great place to work if your are not committed to your wife or spouse. Even better if you're a minority and cheat on your spouses. You'll basically get unlimited lives here. But god forbid management take the side of the worker who actually works, cleans and keeps to himself and doesn't bother anyone. I was written up for not doing a grown mans job one time, because "he had so much prep at night etc." Dude was out washing the residents cars/taking to nurses and other women, on the clock, during food service. He eventually got fired after the 9 or 10th investigation. The next write up was because, I worked too fast and disappeared from the kitchen too much. That was because, I was the only one they had a problem with standing around not doing anything, even if my work was done, days in advance. For about 2 months I was getting sent home early because I got done with my work early. I was the only one that that happened to. But it would have all been fine of I was a minority. And the cherry, I asked another grown man to bring up the pots and pans and untensil to the front. He just rolled the pots near where they went. So the next morning I had my morning dishes i used and places them neatly outside of the dish room on the floor. To just make a point about putting things where they needed to go, because of the lack of management turning a blind eye from issues I have brought up before. I was sent home. It took 8 days to hear from Human Resources. I had another issue I wanted to bring up and was promised a phone call later that day to schedule it. Got a call 4 days later thinking that was the phone call, instead I got fired. So it's a great place to work if you don't mind doing other people's jobs while they quater ass their work, and then you'll have to pick up their slack too, all while they cheat on their wives.

Also I don't want to forget they also have miss Zara who is just a joy to be around and she is the clinical supervisor and also is a counselor and she is just amazing so if you're struggling this is definitely the place to go even if you don't have insurance was $16 a day when you know that John here van on the street you're spending at least 20 to 25 just to feel better for 12 hours I was there it's been a long time and Mandel never go back but I was there and I do understand I hope many people start going

Last week my mother in law fell and broke her hip and we were unable to get her into this facility due to insurance . I put in a call to Carol in billing and she spent her time for several days to assist us in helping to get her into Palm Garden. She went above and beyond when she didn't have to help. This is why I highly recommend Palm Garden in Vero Beach because they demonstrate genuine concern for residents as well as family members!! Wonderful care and staff! The facility was very clean and well maintained. When I had an issue with the AC the maintenance team promptly addressed it. The food was very good, I enjoyed it mostly. I felt well attended to, although on a few occasions it did take a bit of time for the staff to come to my room. My only real complaint, is that I was there to regain my strength after an illness. Unfortunately, being confined to a wheelchair 90% of the time, weakened me and caused edema in my legs. I was only allowed to use the walker during PT. I lost strength and agility not being allowed to use it. This should be addressed. All in all, I would recommend Palm Garden to those needing rehab.
