Sandwiched amidst multiple malls of varying degrees of success in the Milwaukee area led by Mayfair, the outlet mall in Kenosha, and Gurnee Mills, Regency Mall is a strange, perpetually-on-life-support place that got left in the dust by the success of those aforementioned places. Knowing all this about it, and knowing that half the mall was demolished a while ago to make way for Woodman's, I paid it a visit for the first time in my life out of boredom and random curiosity in June 2024. I was, bluntly, expecting a quick power walk through a depressing, barely-there interior that would only take a few minutes. Instead, what I got was...fine? Make no mistake about it - it is very much a dead mall, with only like 6 stores remaining, a (quite good) coffee stand, Auntie Anne's, and a Planet Fitness accounting for most of the cars in the parking lot; but it's...well-maintained? I noticed a maintenance worker squeegeeing the windows around the entrance on my way out, there was ample security, and the interior is well-lit and clean. The stores that do exist are similarly cared for, staffed by friendly faces, and honestly feel like individual trips back in time 20-30 years when Regency probably had more life to it. Throw in the fact that Spencer Gifts still has the old neon exterior and you can practically hear Tiffany playing as you walk the mostly-empty halls (or not, because the piped-in Muzak on my visit really, really liked Bon Jovi). I could keep going on about how bizarrely okay my Regency visit was, but I'll end it by saying that I feel strangely optimistic for its future. If Woodman's actually gets built, the apartments and hotel actually follow, and Microsoft actually sticks to their promise of a data center in nearby Mount Pleasant, the remnants of Regency may yet have life ahead of them as an anachronistic, enclosed strip mall surrounded by other big-box retail. I'll be rooting for them; they seem like fine folks. read more

Regency mall has really tanked. Scarcely any stores. Heard that large grocery store is moving in. Hope it doesn't push the local grocery stores out of the area. The VP mall definitely need revamping. More retail stores needed. read more

Wait, this is a mall? This mall has fallen victim to poor property management and the local government willfully watching it burn. Stores are leaving in troves for a reason. There's no easy way to put this, but the area sucks. Call me a cynic, but this area deserves a far better shopping experience. Really, who wants to spend their hard earned dollars at a mall that houses enough off-brand stores to rival 7 mile fair? The people who shop here, shop out of pure necessity, not because Regency Mall is an exciting mall to frequent; they go north or south for that. Racine is stigmatized as being a blue collar community, and Regency Mall is the epitome of that belief. It's long overdue that the local governments and mall management get their acts together and produce a better product. No justifiable argument about the economy being in the hole can be made. For example, a loan of approximately 15 million dollars was granted toward the renovation of Southridge Mall. That loan came with a low interest rate (1 or 2 percent if I recall correctly), and it makes sense, because a better mall means better stores, better stores bring more shoppers, more shoppers bring more money, more money means more money going back into the community. Regency Mall is in dire need of a similar proposal, only, because the mall is much less established than Southridge Mall was at the time they received the loan, then the amount is going to have to be much greater. Hell, I'd even be willing to author the proposal myself. Trust me, this isn't an opportunity to bitch but a siren call for much needed action. To the naysayers: Focus on the solution and not the problem. Enjoy your drive to Mayfair. :) read more

It's really a shame that this mall is going under very slowly. It still has its anchor store, which is Boston store, but there are about 20 vacant stores, and it looks terrible. I don't see any signs of any other stores moving in. The food court is dismal,and it looks bare! I don't see the mall existing in another five years (if even that long). read more

The mall is dead, there is hardly any stores left. I like that the made it look nicer on the inside but they really need to get more stores in there to make it great again. read more

This mall is dead and I am disappointed. Their is not a whole of stores left in this mall. I just went to Burlington Coat Factory and it was the only store that I like the most. This place is old and outdated and their is a lot of empty spaces. I can see this mall closing up in the future decade. It's such a shame! Their is no interest in this place at all. This mall had everything I needed and more! I was in town for a wedding, and I realized right before I left that I didn't have the cute shoes that I wanted to war. I think I put them in storage :( So the husband and I went on a shoe mission...and we found so much more than that! They had a wide variety of stores and I found a bunch of things that I didn't know that I couldn't live without! read more

This was my first time to visit the Regency Mall and I it was like walking into a mall of my childhood very very outdated. I do like that it is dead so who cares how your kids act right? The food court is non existent and I really only came to this Simon Mall for Victoria Secrets. So if you want to beat the crowd then I would day some here. read more

The Hull property group just purchased this beloved childhood mall of mine. I used to buy my clothes at Chess King. I am hopeful the new owners will resurrect the business. Let's give them a chance and support the tenants that are there. read more

First off we have no mall but the Regency Mall and I am happy to a stop shop. Yes it needs improvements but overall I and my wife shop regularly at Boston Store for myself and teenage kids have American Eagle and many more stores to choose from read more

From the outside, I figured there would not be any stores in here. Once we got in, we were pleasantly surprised to find stores, name brand stores at that. It was not too crowded (probably because we were there on a Tuesday) and I found a few good deals. I'd visit again. read more

Do not do business with the Regency Mall Leasing Office. They are dishonest & looking to take advantage of their business partners. My family & I almost signed a lease to install a Marley vending machine. At the signing, we were told in addition to the monthly fee we had to give 20% of our profits over $500 to the mall. No way! We were already paying a monthly fee. Any profits were for ourselves. read more

This mall has majorly gone downhill! I'd rather drive to a real mall. All the stores are going out of business. They really need to do something to get people to come to the mall. read more
