I saw the first horror movie I have seen in the cinema since the pandemic. We saw "Talk to Me." Check in is efficiently done and seating choices are taken super seriously by the patrons so don't just sit anywhere because they will ask you to move. Although the carpet in the lobby looks dirty, the theater is cleaned after each film and the sound is crystal clear. I purchased some nachos, the idea of melted cheese gets me every time, but the nacho sauce was very bad, and like most theaters the prices are ridiculously high. But hooray.... They sell beer. They give you an armband, check ID, and will limit consumption to three drinks per visit. The audience was quiet and I could enjoy the film. These chairs go way back. You can get too comfortable, but the young couple next to us was being indecent under a blanket they brought from home. I guess there is a problem with the chairs reclining like a bed. Aside from that I am happy that the cinematic experience survived after the pandemic. read more

Order: Bad Boyz: Ride or Die Bought two matinee tickets on a Thursday. Post-Covid the movie theaters still look the same, deserted. The ticket counter was closed and ticket purchases had to be made at the concession stand. I was surprised they had popcorn and snacks available for a morning showing. The theater was clean and offered more showing times than others. This one and another nearby location were the only two in the Charlotte area that had showings before 11am. read more

I took my family to Regal Starlight in Charlotte to see the Batman movie and all I have to say is this was 2:57 minutes of my life that I can't get back! Thank goodness our movie experience was very pleasant! We purchased our tickets online only to find someone sitting in our seats upon arrival. Instead of making a fuss we just found another row of seats to accommodate our family. The seats reclined all the way back and they were very spacious and comfortable, the seats had soda holders on both sides, which came in handy because we did partake of some treats at the concession stand and everything had a place, and I must say the popcorn was warm, buttery and delicious. The theater and the bathrooms were very clean! In spite of the subpar movie and the occupied seats the theatre is A1! The only downside to our movie experience was during the movie you could hear loud music playing from the theatre next door which was very distracting! read more

My husband and I really enjoy coming here to watch new movies together. It's not far from home, the staff is usually pretty friendly, and helpful, and it's just a nice alternative place to watch new showings, versus the very crowded and expensive theatre at Concord Mills. The seating is also updated and very comfortable, as the chairs lean back and feel more like cozy couches than theatre chairs!!! It's decently kept up, but still has that nostalgic feel to it. This place also offers lots of snacks and food, as well as alcohol beverages now, which is awesome! If you are planning on getting those things, make sure to bring plenty of money, as it can get expensive just like anywhere else when you go somewhere hungry! RATS running at your feet and chairs while watching a movie!! Several people saw them during the movie, and went and Notified Management. All they did was say sorry, and that it's because of the construction next door which isn't even attached its about 100' apart. Came here to see Black Widow a few months back and of course I've been here plenty, just never reviewed. It's an okay theater, no complaints from me but also nothing too exciting. It's gets the movie theater job done in my book and I don't mind seeing movies here any time. It's a typical theater with plenty of popcorn and parking. When I came there was some pretty intense street construction going on, but it didn't affect me getting in but leaving after the movie it was kind of a hassle. This is a fantastic theater, in comparison to others in Charlotte anyway. Keep in mind, Charlotte really sucks... everyone has an attitude and most places I have visited have had the slowest and most incompetent service. (Yes, naysayers.. I am moving and not just complaining about my location). Sometimes the staff acts like they want to be there, and you'll get an occasional smile or polite greeting rather than snarky. But not often. Most of the time you're greeted by miserable robots who aren't grateful for the fact that they even have a job. But it's better than greetings at other Charlotte cinemas. Concessions are decent and reasonably priced, again in comparison to other Charlotte cinemas. But what I really do like about this place is that each time I have gone, it is actually very clean. And that is NOT sarcasm. I'm impressed how clean it is for a theater. Don't judge a book by its cover. This movie theater looks very unimpressive from the outside, but the actual theater itself has nice fully-reclined seats with ample space for arms to rest. And we got our tickets for $10.50 on a Saturday afternoon. We bought our tickets online, which meant we just showed up, showed our tickets, and walked to the theater - no need to wait in line at all. The movie we watched had maybe 15 other people watching it as well, and the seats are so well spaced out that social distancing is not difficult inside. My boyfriend and I wanted to see a matinee of Fast and Furious 8, so he selected this theatre. We took seperate cars because we had seperate errands to run afterwards. When I pulled up, it looked like a car show was going on! My bf said because of f&f8, they're probably doing a mini show because of it. Nice cars! The actual movie theatre needs some updating, esp. in the lobby and bathrooms, but the studios are nice. The reclining chairs are very comfortable. Checking in here will score you 1/2 popcorn. After seeing our Great movie, the car show was in full swing, car girls and all. I thought that was a fun touch to get people our to their business. Clean theatre, quirky decor that's a fun homage to older movie-house styles, and extremely pleasant staff. It was easy to have our tickets scanned as soon as we stepped into the lobby and then there was only a one-person wait for concessions. In case you are wondering what sofa-style seats are, in theatre five they were regular recliner seats with a shared armrest between two seats. Connect pods of seats had two arms rests in-between, so the armrest wasn't shared. I truly thought we would be sharing a SOFA with a stranger, but it was no different than sitting next to someone in regular theatre. Plus the seats were enormous and everything felt very spaced out, especially since every other seat was a double-wide armrest. Recommend! read more

We've been going to this theater for over ten years now. I like the updated seating. It's very comfortable. The rest of the theater is good. Nothing magnificent, but it's comfortable and pretty clean. We saw Avengers Infinity War and enjoyed the experience. I've found the audience to be civilized and respectful the last few times we've come. I think they're a little expensive, but other than that I enjoy watching movies there and plan to continue in the future. read more

Maybe it was just the night. It was about 7:10p last night and i approached the theatre but there was no one at the box for me to purchase a ticket. I walked inside and 1 of the employees behind the counter addressed the crowd and said something about tickets so i hopped in his line unfortunately, he was only scanning mobile tickets and i was directed to get in the concession line. The line was lengthy and i tried to wait but I couldn't. I grew extremely impatient and decided to just leave. I never buy my ticket online unless I'm with a large group or there is concern that the tickets may be sold out before i can get to the cinema. I assumed it would be a mellow Monday night to watch The Sonic movie. Word of advice buy your tickets online. read more

Not sure why I don't go to this theater more often, for some reason I always end up at AMC Concord Mills, but not anymore. Overall great movie theater. The seats are nice and comfortable and there is plenty of space in the aisle and the tickets are cheaper than other theaters. I saved about $3+ on each tickets. You ask me that's a great deal. Plus it wasn't overly crowded, which was surprising because I went about a week after Spiderman Far From Home came out. Is it spic and span? No, but so what it's not filthy neither, nor sticky. I wish every theater would convert to one with recliners! Now that 485 is finally finished, we can easily get to Regal Starlight. And it's worth the trip with their amazing recliners! I like that the seats are reserved so you can purchase them online, and you don't have to arrive early in order to get a good seat. And the seats are nicely spaced out so you aren't right on top of your neighbors. But the best thing is that their ticket prices are no more than a normal theater. I wasn't expecting much about this place and I don't even know why. My husband and I got there on a Saturday around 5pm to watch a movie at 5:10. The line outside to by tickets was big but nothing insane. They have self service tickets inside that nobody was using so we decided to avoid the line and use the machine. The only problem with the machine was that it kept giving us a message that we couldn't leave a gap between Two seats, which was correct. We had free popcorn the we got from our Regal Card, the line was kind of big and unfortunately they had only two members of the stuff helping out the customers. We waited in line forever! The movie theater was clean, they have recliner seats and the screen and sounds were pretty good. Our experience overall was good and we will be going back! read more

I'm really fortunate that this is my local movie theatre. Been coming here for the last 6 years even before the remodel. But now it's even better... Wonderful luxurious, stadium, reclining seating. The seating is all reserved so you can pick your favorite seat every, single time without fail! You like the center seat? it's yours. An aisle girl (or guy) like me? You got it. They move the lines really quickly so even on busy nights, the lines are never ridiculous. The staff is always pleasant and friendly and always let you know when you've got a freebie on your Regal Crown Club Carb (though I like to save my points for a rainy day or in this case a free ticket). They always have plenty of show times to choose from including the late nighters. They even have adult beverages at the snack bar to make your movie going experience all the more enjoyable (or tolerable ). It's a great gem of a theater. read more

Before they put in the best seats in Charlotte this was still our go to movie theater! The service is always friendly and fast. Though this place can look outdated in some places, cleanliness was never an issue. I love using my regal card here and enjoy free movie tickets and snacks sometimes! The best part about this place are their seats. Warning: you will fall into a deep sleep in these comfortable chairs during late night screenings. I haven't been to this location since I was in high school, which has been a while. However, for the most part, nothing has changed much, outside of the seating in the theaters. I really enjoyed the new seating and would go back for sure. The only reason I'm taking off a star is due to how slow they were at the concession area. It was a Saturday afternoon and you would think there would be more staff to handle the people. I'm still a little thrown that they up-charge for the powdered flavoring that every other theater doesn't charge for. The line out front was a little long and the movie my wife and I went to see was starting soon, so I popped my head in to see if there was a self-service kiosk. There was. My wife and I have MoviePass, so we have to purchase our tickets separately. I got my ticket but then my wife wasn't able to get her seat next to mine, since it said we weren't allowed to leave a one seat gap. Which is ridiculous. We ended up having to buy separate seats from one another. I'm sure if we paid at the window, they could have fixed that. There was no one at the customer service desk so we just dealt with it. Other than that, I'd still recommend this theater. read more

Starlight has its days and times! It can be really clean one visit and then not clean another. Some friends and I went to watch Queen & Slim and our row of seats were dirtyyyyyy. Popcorn on the floor, greasy finger prints on the chair, and cups in the cup holder. I only have two explainations for this. Someone either was cleaning, got distracted, and forgot to come back to our row OR someone just didn't care to finish properly cleaning. We informed management and it was taken card of but in my opinion, you can't fall short in cleaning a theater. The theater is still open for business for other films. I am giving them a 3 as that was my first time experiencing a dirty row here. If I experience differently next time, I'll update my review. read more
