Decided to treat myself and got a mani and pedi. Paid $55 for shellac pedi but didnt have time to do my gel nails and came back 2 hours later for gel costs $75. Have to say service was rushed and was a bit dissappointed with the staff regarding their loyalty customer stamp card. Since I used to be a regular here, I had a stamp card but left it home. Each time you go you get a stamp if its $35 or more you spend and after a number of stamps you get a free mani or pedi. I asked the staff since I came twice and paid seperately with tip each visit if I would get two stamps, the manager said no its once per day and the advertising is misleading as it only stated if you spend over $35. Have to say I will not come back as this is how they treat loyal customers, I didnt end up going back to get my stamps as well. To top it off my favorite girl left and no need to visit this place. read more

I was at South Edmonton common location Lannie who did my nails( manager), very unprofessional and rude. My acrylic nails started chipping after 4 hours. She didn't want to take any responsibility at all. Don't waste your time, money and mood going there. Very disappointing. read more

Really needed to get rid of my already fallng off shellac nails. Decided to go into this area, while significant other shopping. Went in and an elderly lady sat beside me. At first there was no one to talk to, as one person was in the store. Owner had to call his staff back. Then they were more concerned with watching tv. All i wanted was nails removed, cleaned and some strengthening polish. nails removed, cleaned no polish and they charged me 25$! Couldnt even argue as they didnt understand my point of view. Prior to me paying, the elderly lady stated the same and they charged her only 5$ for doing the same thing. Go figure. read more

I went for a new set of acrylic nails, the lady who did my nails cut me multiple times, was very rough, and completely rushed the appointment. She tried to over-charge me multiple times by saying they were solar when they were just acrylic, said it was extra to make them the length I wanted (which was maybe 1-2cm longer than my natural nail). The end result was completely botched; they looked thick, lumpy, polish was uneven, the nails were crooked, and there was a lot of acrylic left under the nail. She spent more time talking to her coworkers than focusing on the nails. I would never go back here, would leave a negative rating if possible. read more

I update my review. I only got my nails done barely over a week ago and already two nails fell off and others are already eroding on the sides of the nail. I have never had nails fall off so early and the whole set, while looked great, felt really flimsy. I feel ripped off. They feel like press-ons. read more

Called the night before for an appointment and when we arrived we still had to wait 45 minutes. I had called the night before to ask if they did "powder" nails. They replied, "yes". When we arrived I again requested powder. Even pointed to the powder containers. My friend sat down first and he started putting extensions on her, while I waited. Once I sat down I noticed she wasn't getting powder, but rather acrylic nails! I said, "whoa, we would like powder nails done (a totally different method). He replied to us by saying, "oh, you have to ask for dipping powder, if you just say powder, I'll do these." He just continued putting acrylics on her. He was adamant that we had asked for the wrong thing. We looked at the price list and the ONLY thing on there that said powder was the dipping powder! How exactly are WE supposed to know how he wants us to ask him? He was dismissive and rude. I would have just let it go but they were so rude and argumentative to us. In the end we just let them know that for people in the future, they might want to clarify as it might happen again. She replied by telling us they only have 2 customers that actually get it done.... Taking no responsibility was so frustrating and the way he didn't stop once we realized it was the wrong product. I DO NOT recommend this business to anyone and advise you stay away. I have gone here several times for shellac manicures and basic pedis. Service is poor and prices are average compared to other nail salons. My polish doesn't last as long as manicures I had at Binh's Nails in Oliver or Sophie's Nails close by. Don't waste your money when there are a myriad of bettrr salons close by. read more

Went in with appointment time already booked and some in our group had to wait about 45 minutes. I asked for 'powder' nails. The only item on their price list with the word powder in it is the 'dipping powder' nails so logically, I thought that is what they were going to do. Instead, they gave me acrylic nails! It's not at all what I wanted; they look really fake and I feel like I just want to get rid of them. I'm having a hard time typing this. Apparently, if you ask for powder nails they give you acrylic nails! If I wanted acrylic nails I would have asked for acrylic nails. These mistakes can happen and a good company will try to work through the situation and make everyone satisfied with the outcome. Instead, when I realised what was happening, the manager just kept doing the acrylic nails. He should have apologised, stopped, removed the acrylic nails, and then given me what I asked for. He didn't offer an apology at all, or even acknowledge their mistake. He said only two people come in for dipping powder nails so despite it being on the price list and being what I asked for, they still assumed I wanted acrylic nails! He was really rude and argumentative. They should then have offered to not charge me or to give me a large discount and an offer to remove them for free. This also did not happen. So I paid $57.75 for nails I didn't want and I now have to pay $20 to have them removed. Their mistake was bad enough, but their inability to handle this situation with any kind of decency was very poor service. Saved up and booked an appointment to take my daughter and her friend them for a treat for her 15th birthday. When we arrived, was asked if they wanted the shellac. When I asked how much, the manager replied, ".. $85 for both. " I said yes because as this was a special day, the $85 and a tip was still within my budget. When I picked them up and went to pay the bill, the manager said that will be $180! I told her she told me it was EIGHTY-FIVE DOLLARS, and she said no, I was wrong, she said it was each! Not only that, she only have me ONE stamp, even though I paid full price for TWO mani/pedis. ONE! And when she said she combined my card (I had forgotten one from a previous manicure, so wanted it out onto one card), she never stamped it and lied when I asked her about it. My daughter and I got solar nail fills at Regal Nails, Windemere last Monday. We were concerned when they didn't use the same tools as the shop in Red Deer that we go to and even more concerned when they used nail polish for the ends rather than the solar fill we are used to. The ad read $35 for fills yet they charged us $85 each. In four days the nail polish on the ends had peeled off and all the top coat. The girls who did our nails kept saying that gel nails better and did not seem to know what they were doing. Would not recommend this place to anyone total waste of our money! read more

Went to get a basic manicure. I had the worst experience I have ever had this afternoon. I am never going back to that place again. The woman doing my nails was very harsh and worked aggressively jabbing at my cuticles. She was in a foul mood before I even sat down. She ended up cutting one of my cuticle which bled through the entire service. She never once apologized. An apology would have gone a long way. She did a french manicure which was very sloppy and thick (because their top coat was getting dry in the bottle). The nick she gave me in my cuticle stung the whole time. I had her remove the sloppy french manicure and asked to be done with the service. They had no shame in asking for money for this garbage job. The didn't even offer a discount for not having put on any polish or clear coat. I walked out of there with nails cut down way to short and NO polish. Save your money by going elsewhere. Its not worth the aggravation. There are many people who offer this service from their homes for the same price or less and definitely give you individual attention! read more

The service by the lady doing my pedicure today was fine. However the TREATMENT BY AN EMPLOYEE or MANAGER of a distressed and very pregnant woman was troubling to witness. A pregnant woman pushing a shopping cart with her toddler inside sat down on a chair outside the salon. She was visibly distressed and uncomfortable and late in her pregnancy. She was with only a young child and needed some help, rest and/or medical attention. As soon as she sat down, one of the employees got up from her chair (where several employees were congregated, there was only myself and another customer in the salon), and approached the woman to tell her to leave. The pregnant woman was in obvious pain. Eventually a Wal-Mart employee came to her aid and "moved her" away from the salon entrance. I didn't see what happened after as I had my feet in water. I was saddened by the actions of the Regal employee. No one wants to have a medical "episode" in public, but it happens. If a person finds themself in a similar situation, one can only hope to be treated with more compassion and assistance. A chair, a drink of water, a "how can I help?"... Surely this may have provided some small comfort. Very disappointed with what I saw, and for this reason, I WON'T be back. read more
