Went to this movie theater today to watch good boys with my kids. The guy checking tickets told me he couldn't let me in because it was a rated r movie. This is the first time I'm told I cant choose what my kids watch. Guess I'll be going to brenden from now on. Just made me waste my time. read more

Much smaller than Brendan, but still nice & comfy. Everyday tickets are $6 before 6pm, yes, I mean everyday, including weekends. I was shocked when she told me the price for 2 adults; $12. I had to why. Smh. Theaters are also smaller than Brendan, but seats are comfy. & they have the real ICEE!! read more

Regal Modesto - Gorgeous night - Cinema Near Me - Modesto, California

I always like a movie that doesn't try and take itself too seriously. The Green Hornet is definitely one of those. A lot of tongue in cheek humor, action, bullets but not a lot of blood. Basically an enjoyable movie to watch and escape from the everyday doldrums. Just sit back relax and enjoy yourself. read more

One of the cleanest movie theaters I've been to. We love that the seats are assigned and that they are able to recline suck a nice feature for us , no rushing to a seat and comfortable seating. Highly recommended this movie theater to everyone. read more

Horrible horrible horrible. This place has gone to waste! Use to be so clean and well managed now is a different story. The main lobby super dirty! Trash everywhere snack bar a mess not worth risking getting food poisoning from the non cleaned counter. Bathrooms were disgusting! Seemed like they were not cleaned in weeks. Toilet paper all over the floor in and out of the stall. No soap to wash your hands or paper towels. We didnt stay walked out and got refunded and ended up driving to manteca. I'm really hoping that that is really not the normal there and we walked in on a bad day. read more

People here are nice one of the employees even assisted me in carrying out my food purchases to my seat.

Not your ordinary review but employees at Regal Cinemas really showed compassion to my family when my son's insulin pump died. We thought we had to leave before the movie started as the pump died 5 minutes prior to show time. Was requesting a refund on 4 tickets and looking forward to a disappointing ride home, when I half-jokingly asked the manager if they had a battery they could sell me. Surprisingly, he did have a battery, gave it to us which allowed us to stay and see the movie. I wish I had gotten his name. He truly saved the day and I am very grateful. read more

Not happy at all!!! Bought tickets to the opening showing of Toy Story 4 for June 20. We show up and movie is supposed to start @6:15pm, well 6:15 rolls around and screen goes black! It stays like that for 15 minutes, people go and complain about what's going on. Nothing changes then all of a sudden we start hearing Toy Story music and characters talking for about 2 minutes, then the image pops back up and the movie has already started!! They restart the movie thank god! But they didn't pull back the curtains to show the full screen! Once again I get up and complain about the curtains! They finally get pulled back about 5 minutes into the movie. Totally not how I planned to watch Toy Story! Don't plan on going back to regal Modesto anytime soon!!!! read more

The theater is a little small but what throws me off about this place is the funky smell it has. It's not the worst theater but it is definitely not my theater of choice. read more

Went in to watch Demon Slayer Swordsmith village at 7:20pm and the first rewatch was terrible. When I went to go to my top middle seat some 13 yo was sitting on it. I went and sat next to him. He was very immature the second some anime girl would appear he would act cringy and would be overly loud. During a sad scene he decided it was best to start using his strobe light setting in his phone to bother the people below him then when the people looked back he turned it off. This attention seeking shit head gave me so much second hand embarrassment and man's kept being obnoxiously loud till the end of the movie bro looks like your standard anime nerd. Since it was Friday the day of the viewing there were a lot of people and there were no other chairs. His parents are no where to be found he just disappears after the viewing ends THANK GOD. I was going to stick around and watch quantum mania until I realized there was another viewing for Demon Slayer in the same place at 10:15pm and I got hyped tf up. Got faded asf and enjoyed myself. Sucks that my first experience was ruined but at least the second time was better. 1st hour long episode was just an introduction and the intro to the infinity castle went hard asf but the Uzui v Gyutaro fight was so epic felt the bass it felt awesome. Don't expect any epic fights in the 1st episode just beautiful and fantastic animation. The highlight was the infinity castle. Inosuke funny 10/10. Glad I got to see the fight in theaters. read more

First off I've never had such a horrible experience at the movies. So we go in and the man at the door was probably the nicest person all day. The lady at the concession stand was rude, when I asked the man where the straws were (the ones by the butter was empty) he just pointed with this disgusting lookin his face. Not one employee checked the movie theater in which I wish they did. Several children were just roaming around. Parents not paying attention bugging my children from their movie. One child I had to get the parent because she was running to the exit. At least when I go to brenden Or galaxy they check their theaters. This has never happened. Food was cold and gross. Never again will I go this movie theater. read more

Bought tickets online and went to watch the movie. They had screwed up the tickets and seating for EVERYBODY! We were no longer sitting together. We asked for a refund and had to wait 15 minutes for a manager. At that point they said we had to wait 3-5 business days for a refund! It was an unfortunate incident that was made worse by unprofessional and uninformed staff. I wish they cared about their customers a bit more. read more

I saw the latest die hard movie here. It was nice, cozy, peaceful, an quite, I enjoyed it. It was exactly how a movie theater should be. The sound an picture were excellent. read more

Decent theater for what a theater can be. Yes the new security check is a little bit annoying but not a deal breaker. If you bring food in your purses they won't say anything and let you continue on your way. I will say that when I came here to watch Deadpool they made me take out my license and ticket three times! I get it: alcohol is available which isn't normal at regal and it's an R rated movie that everyone gets antsy about. Regal's restrooms however are notorious and can't helped to be avoided because you've been sitting in a movie room for 2 - 2 1/2 hours unless you have a bladder of steel like me Friendly ticketers. Just be nice to them and they will be nice to you. Common sense. read more

I've been to several theaters in the area and this one is my favorite. I really love the reclining seats. Everything is always clean. Bathrooms, floors, seats. Ect. The employees are always friendly and seem to like their job. If they don't they sure are good at faking like they do. . They are quite fast at the concession area. I've never had to wait incredibly long to get my popcorn and soda. I recommend this movie theater. Going to the movies sure has changed. I remember the days of old stinky uncomfortable chairs. I guess that's one reason I really appreciate the cleanliness and the comfy reclining chairs. read more

While visiting my sister and family, we decided to check out a movie. Went to this location the day after 4th of July. The seating was indeed comfortable, and the bathrooms were decent. As always, concession prices are outrageous. I only got a large soda to share with my boyfriend, but ended up paying almost as much for it as I did the ticket, $5.75!! read more

The new seats are luxurious, clean, and super comfy! The rows are so spacious; most definitely my go-to movie theater. Sabrina, who was up at the front, greeted us with a smile and was super friendly. read more

So sick of the incompetent people that work here and how they could care less about customer service. First guy in tickets insisted my gift card was empty, had to call 800 in front of manager to prove balance on card. Then because ticket idiot screwed up I couldn't get my free popcorn or get my points back. Kids behind concession counter were clueless and willing to do nothing to help. When I asked for a manager I got a 12yr old kid who just told me I didn't have enough points and my receipt didn't show I got anything. Obviously Regal has so much business that ours doesn't matter!! Oh did I mention bathroom was a disaster too! read more

The movie theater is great it takes only 33 minutes to get there plus the seats are very comfortable! to wait for movie to start

Love this theater me and my son go all the time. We have a fun day out as Mommy and Me days when we go, the location is perfect right next to home and right next to our fav lunch place too. Would recommend to everyone. P.s. Great customer service and clean friendly environment. read more

Regal Modesto - They had a great time. - Cinema Near Me - Modesto, California

The atmosphere is less nice than other local theaters, but the real reason I am giving this poor review is that while coming in, I was asked by the lady taking our tickets to look in my bag. I asked her why and she said she had to look for guns and alcohol. I'm a middle aged woman with three kids with me, and I found this extremely insulting. I will never come here again, and tell everyone I know never to come here either, unless they want their privacy violated by uneducated minimum wage making theater employees. read more

Welcoming. Came to watch 10Clover with Patty Rodriguez. I like the service from everyone. Buying tickets outside didn't like that. I did like that it's arrive early you personally pick your spot. Don't take reservations for seats which is best. I think. read more

Just finished watching Annabelle Creation and it was a very pleasant experience. We arrived in the morning for the first showing at about 11:50 am. There was hardly anybody inside so we were able to purchase our tickets right away. The concession stands looked very clean. The popcorn was fresh and buttery so there was no need to add more. The employees were polite and helpful from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. The theatre rooms were clean and their seats recline to the press of a button, which is a plus! The restrooms were very clean as well. I'm definitely coming here for now on! read more

Employee at the ticket checker was not friendly or understanding at all. The popcorn wasn't too fresh. The only friendly employee was at the box office, she gave us her honest opinion of the movies that were out and helped us pick the movie our group wanted to watch. Very nice lady, but other than that, not too satisfied. I feel like I always have bad experiences when I come here. I'm a big fan of movie going; it's just something about this theater that I just don't like. read more

Has nothing on Galaxy. 2 alcoholic beverages per person and no trays on seats. Also, alcohol has to be purchased at one concession stand then picked up at another. Inefficient! Haven't been here for 10 years or so and won't be back for a wee bit. Galaxy is wayyy better. read more

Worst experience ever, as i went and bought our tickets i asked before picking our seats if there was a big bar across the screen once we reclined the seats in the top row the person who helped us said no so we got our tickets walked inside went straight to buy food and the two guys that were there in the food area we're not happy about me ordering pretzel and corn dogs. I asked him if there was a problem with me ordering that and he kind of laughed and said no but I saw that they didn't enjoy making this type of food. I bought a cheese seasoning for our popcorn, and it was completely empty i dont know how they do inventory. I paid for two cheese sauce cups and they only gave me one so we ddnt want to miss any part of the movie so i didnt go argue for one cup of cheese the popcorn was cold, and stale. My kids had to lay on the floor to watch the movie because yes there is a bar once u recline the seat that block the view. When i walked out i asked to speak to a manager. Yes he was quick in coming out but didnt really make it right. I wasnt even done telling him all the issues when he cut me off and just said all i can do is give u 3 tickets for the inconvenience, when im sorry but i paid for 6 tickets not 3 but then again all i have to do is not go back. I highly reccomend Brenden over this theater!! Dont waste ur money on this read more

Regal recently upgraded all their seats to the roomy recliners. The theaters are clean and the concession stand is quick. You can buy your tickets online before your showing and pick your seats so you don't have to show up early to get a good spot. There is a small convenience fee but its worth it for the, well, convenience. read more

I just went to this theater for the first time since they added recliners. The rail in front of our seats made it so we couldn't actually recline in the recliners and still see the full screen. And I'm an adult; I imagine my 8 year old would have needed to be on his knees to see the bottom of the screen. As expensive as going to the movies is, I would expect not to have such a silly problem. Just poor planning? I don't know, but we'll be going to the Riverbank theaters only from now on. read more

Wonderful place to enjoy a movie. The recliners are super comfortable! I have had wonderful staff interactions every time I am there. Sound is great and movies are clear. There have been a lot of times there are rude people in the movies that talk rather loudly and are rude during the movie but this isn't the theaters problem. You can't decide who is and who isn't going to be rude during a movie when selling tickets. I've never personally gone to complain so I'm not sure how they handle things like this. I am very impressed with this theater and will continue to go back! read more

The new luxury seats are horrible. It literally gave me and my husband a headache. The headrests push your chin to your chest. Very disappointing. Would rather make the drive to Riverbank. Last time coming here. read more

Update: I still don't love the reserve ahead seating options for the same reasons in my previous review but I do love the cheaper prices for tickets here compared to literally all other theaters within a 30 minute drive from me. The rewards program here is also great. I personally find it incredibly easy to rack up points that I can use toward concessions or movie tickets. I also came here somewhat recently and at some point during the movie I swear I felt something wet hit my arm but I didn't think too much of it, I just assumed it was condensation from my own drink. Well when I got out of the movie, the person I went with had red stains on the collar and along one sleeve of his (light colored) shirt that weren't there before the movie. My drink lid also had new sticky red spots on it. It looked like someone had sprayed a red icee out of a straw or something and we (the people sitting in front of them) were the unwitting recipients of a red icee shower! Another person in our group complained to a staff member who involved the manager and it was handled very professionally, as best as possible considering it was brought up after the movie ended and everyone had left. The group sitting behind us had been a family with at least 3 young children, one of which was a very young baby and fussed and cried the entire time, and they left about 30 minutes before the R rated movie ended so there really was nothing staff could have done about them anyway. While I'm definitely not a fan of other movie going customers like those who fling food and drink, play on their phone through the film, or chat amongst themselves like they're at home, Regal is still my favorite theater in the area. read more

Chairs lean back and Tuesdays are $5 all day. Join the regal club and get points to add up to free popcorn, sodas, and movies.

Apparently you can bring your own cup in from where ever.. McDonald's/dickies/gas station. And fill it behind the counter for all your 15 friends?! I was blown away.. While everyone else is waiting in line &paying the full $7 for one soda. I don't think I have ever seen this before! Ooh and got turned down to watch a r rated movie due to not having my ID. I'm almost 26 but she did not ID the two high schoolers behind me that we're wearing their HS sweaters!!! Finally got in after talking to the manager. Won't be coming back! read more

I wish there was a way to give minus stars! We bought tickets to a rated R movie. We have an infant baby who we always take to movies because she sleeps through them. (Ears covered of course) my husband and I don't get many opportunities for date night with our older teen children. We get to the ticket taker and she tells us we need to go request a refund because we are watching a rated R movie and we have a baby with us. We laugh thinking she's joking and she assures us it's been policy for years. I get the whole no one under 17 without an adult but an infant? Not a toddler... an infant (did I say infant?) we asked to speak to a manager who confirmed it was in fact policy. Needless to say we are NOT happy. We have been taking her with us since she was 3 months old because she does so well, we have NEVER heard of anything like this. We don't frequent many violent movies or anything disturbing but every movie theater in the valley we've ever gone to has EVER said we couldn't enter with her. I have even thought we may one day have to pay for a seat for her carrier which would make more sense. So if you have a baby don't go to Regal to watch a grown up movie, they won't let you in! Now I remember why it's always our last option even though we live down the street!! read more

I came in to really quickly buy gift tickets for my boyfriend's friend's birthday and was not greeted with a smile and when I asked for gift tickets I was told they did gift cards. "Oh ok." I said cheerily. "How much are movies here?" The blonde girl (with heavy orange eye makeup) "helping" me if you could call her lack luster attitude service, practically rolled her eyes with a sneer and said; "It depends on what time and day you come. The least you can put on it is $10. ( In hindsight I recognize that she assumed that I didn't have a lot of money because I am a brown young woman, but this brown young woman has a Master's Degree and works at a University). I was like; "Ok, how much is the most expensive ticket then." She finally told me $10.50 so I bought a $25 gift card. I felt really upset with this exchange because I received rude responses instead of proper customer service. As someone who used to work at Disneyland myself I know what excellent service looks pike and this was the furthest thing from it. I won't be returning to this location again.
