First off I've never had such a horrible experience at the movies. So we go in and the man at the door was probably the nicest person all day. The lady at the concession stand was rude, when I asked the man where the straws were (the ones by the butter was empty) he just pointed with this disgusting lookin his face. Not one employee checked the movie theater in which I wish they did. Several children were just roaming around. Parents not paying attention bugging my children from their movie. One child I had to get the parent because she was running to the exit. At least when I go to brenden Or galaxy they check their theaters. This has never happened. Food was cold and gross. Bought tickets online and went to watch the movie. They had screwed up the tickets and seating for EVERYBODY! We were no longer sitting together. We asked for a refund and had to wait 15 minutes for a manager. At that point they said we had to wait 3-5 business days for a refund! I always like a movie that doesn't try and take itself too seriously. The Green Hornet is definitely one of those. A lot of tongue in cheek humor, action, bullets but not a lot of blood. I've been to several theaters in the area and this one is my favorite. I really love the reclining seats. Everything is always clean. Bathrooms, floors, seats. Ect. The employees are always friendly and seem to like their job. If they don't they sure are good at faking like they do. . They are quite fast at the concession area. I've never had to wait incredibly long to get my popcorn and soda. I recommend this movie theater. Going to the movies sure has changed. I remember the days of old stinky uncomfortable chairs. So sick of the incompetent people that work here and how they could care less about customer service. First guy in tickets insisted my gift card was empty, had to call 800 in front of manager to prove balance on card. Then because ticket idiot screwed up I couldn't get my free popcorn or get my points back. Kids behind concession counter were clueless and willing to do nothing to help. When I asked for a manager I got a 12yr old kid who just told me I didn't have enough points and my receipt didn't show I got anything. Obviously Regal has so much business that ours doesn't matter!! The atmosphere is less nice than other local theaters, but the real reason I am giving this poor review is that while coming in, I was asked by the lady taking our tickets to look in my bag. I asked her why and she said she had to look for guns and alcohol. I'm a middle aged woman with three kids with me, and I found this extremely insulting. Decent theater for what a theater can be. Yes the new security check is a little bit annoying but not a deal breaker. If you bring food in your purses they won't say anything and let you continue on your way. I will say that when I came here to watch Deadpool they made me take out my license and ticket three times! I get it: alcohol is available which isn't normal at regal and it's an R rated movie that everyone gets antsy about. Regal's restrooms however are notorious and can't helped to be avoided because you've been sitting in a movie room for 2 - 2 1/2 hours unless you have a bladder of steel like me Friendly ticketers. While visiting my sister and family, we decided to check out a movie. Went to this location the day after 4th of July. The seating was indeed comfortable, and the bathrooms were decent. As always, concession prices are outrageous. I only got a large soda to share with my boyfriend, but ended up paying almost as much for it as I did the ticket, $5.75!! read more

Just finished watching Annabelle Creation and it was a very pleasant experience. We arrived in the morning for the first showing at about 11:50 am. There was hardly anybody inside so we were able to purchase our tickets right away. The concession stands looked very clean. The popcorn was fresh and buttery so there was no need to add more. The employees were polite and helpful from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. The theatre rooms were clean and their seats recline to the press of a button, which is a plus! The restrooms were very clean as well. I'm definitely coming here for now on! read more

Employee at the ticket checker was not friendly or understanding at all. The popcorn wasn't too fresh. The only friendly employee was at the box office, she gave us her honest opinion of the movies that were out and helped us pick the movie our group wanted to watch. I just went to this theater for the first time since they added recliners. The rail in front of our seats made it so we couldn't actually recline in the recliners and still see the full screen. And I'm an adult; I imagine my 8 year old would have needed to be on his knees to see the bottom of the screen. As expensive as going to the movies is, I would expect not to have such a silly problem. Just poor planning? I don't know, but we'll be going to the Riverbank theaters only from now on. read more

Has nothing on Galaxy. 2 alcoholic beverages per person and no trays on seats. Also, alcohol has to be purchased at one concession stand then picked up at another. Inefficient! Haven't been here for 10 years or so and won't be back for a wee bit. Galaxy is wayyy better. read more

Worst experience ever, as i went and bought our tickets i asked before picking our seats if there was a big bar across the screen once we reclined the seats in the top row the person who helped us said no so we got our tickets walked inside went straight to buy food and the two guys that were there in the food area we're not happy about me ordering pretzel and corn dogs. I asked him if there was a problem with me ordering that and he kind of laughed and said no but I saw that they didn't enjoy making this type of food. I bought a cheese seasoning for our popcorn, and it was completely empty i dont know how they do inventory. I paid for two cheese sauce cups and they only gave me one so we ddnt want to miss any part of the movie so i didnt go argue for one cup of cheese the popcorn was cold, and stale. My kids had to lay on the floor to watch the movie because yes there is a bar once u recline the seat that block the view. When i walked out i asked to speak to a manager. Yes he was quick in coming out but didnt really make it right. I wasnt even done telling him all the issues when he cut me off and just said all i can do is give u 3 tickets for the inconvenience, when im sorry but i paid for 6 tickets not 3 but then again all i have to do is not go back. Wonderful place to enjoy a movie. The recliners are super comfortable! I have had wonderful staff interactions every time I am there. Sound is great and movies are clear. There have been a lot of times there are rude people in the movies that talk rather loudly and are rude during the movie but this isn't the theaters problem. You can't decide who is and who isn't going to be rude during a movie when selling tickets. I've never personally gone to complain so I'm not sure how they handle things like this. I am very impressed with this theater and will continue to go back! read more

Regal recently upgraded all their seats to the roomy recliners. The theaters are clean and the concession stand is quick. You can buy your tickets online before your showing and pick your seats so you don't have to show up early to get a good spot. There is a small convenience fee but its worth it for the, well, convenience. read more

Update: I still don't love the reserve ahead seating options for the same reasons in my previous review but I do love the cheaper prices for tickets here compared to literally all other theaters within a 30 minute drive from me. The rewards program here is also great. I personally find it incredibly easy to rack up points that I can use toward concessions or movie tickets. I also came here somewhat recently and at some point during the movie I swear I felt something wet hit my arm but I didn't think too much of it, I just assumed it was condensation from my own drink. Well when I got out of the movie, the person I went with had red stains on the collar and along one sleeve of his (light colored) shirt that weren't there before the movie. My drink lid also had new sticky red spots on it. It looked like someone had sprayed a red icee out of a straw or something and we (the people sitting in front of them) were the unwitting recipients of a red icee shower! Another person in our group complained to a staff member who involved the manager and it was handled very professionally, as best as possible considering it was brought up after the movie ended and everyone had left. The group sitting behind us had been a family with at least 3 young children, one of which was a very young baby and fussed and cried the entire time, and they left about 30 minutes before the R rated movie ended so there really was nothing staff could have done about them anyway. While I'm definitely not a fan of other movie going customers like those who fling food and drink, play on their phone through the film, or chat amongst themselves like they're at home, Regal is still my favorite theater in the area. read more

I wish there was a way to give minus stars! We bought tickets to a rated R movie. We have an infant baby who we always take to movies because she sleeps through them. (Ears covered of course) my husband and I don't get many opportunities for date night with our older teen children. We get to the ticket taker and she tells us we need to go request a refund because we are watching a rated R movie and we have a baby with us. We laugh thinking she's joking and she assures us it's been policy for years. I get the whole no one under 17 without an adult but an infant? Not a toddler... an infant (did I say infant?) we asked to speak to a manager who confirmed it was in fact policy. Needless to say we are NOT happy. We have been taking her with us since she was 3 months old because she does so well, we have NEVER heard of anything like this. We don't frequent many violent movies or anything disturbing but every movie theater in the valley we've ever gone to has EVER said we couldn't enter with her. I have even thought we may one day have to pay for a seat for her carrier which would make more sense. So if you have a baby don't go to Regal to watch a grown up movie, they won't let you in! Now I remember why it's always our last option even though we live down the street!! read more

I came in to really quickly buy gift tickets for my boyfriend's friend's birthday and was not greeted with a smile and when I asked for gift tickets I was told they did gift cards. "Oh ok." I said cheerily. "How much are movies here?" The blonde girl (with heavy orange eye makeup) "helping" me if you could call her lack luster attitude service, practically rolled her eyes with a sneer and said; "It depends on what time and day you come. The least you can put on it is $10. ( In hindsight I recognize that she assumed that I didn't have a lot of money because I am a brown young woman, but this brown young woman has a Master's Degree and works at a University). I was like; "Ok, how much is the most expensive ticket then." She finally told me $10.50 so I bought a $25 gift card. I felt really upset with this exchange because I received rude responses instead of proper customer service. As someone who used to work at Disneyland myself I know what excellent service looks pike and this was the furthest thing from it. I won't be returning to this location again. Regal Modesto you absolutely suck!! The manager Vicki Peters was rude and ignorant and so was his staff! This is not the first time they have treated us poorly! The first time we were asked twice to verify the purchase of our ticket! The first time I let it go because I don't want to ever accuse people of profiling us! But the second time, I will not let go! The manager, told me he couldn't reissue my ticket because it was a corporate thing! How can you not reissue my ticket when I have receipts and a credit card charge verification! What an idiot! I have been a customer for YEARS! My husband and my family go to regal at least 3 times in the month. It's what we do to on the weekend or holiday as a family activity! Needless to say, I will NEVER be back to Modesto regal! I called Stockton and drove 30min out of my way but received way better service and they apologized for the way they treated us. We finally have a theater with everything. Before regal upgraded the seating to electric recliners, we had to drive to riverbank for such amenities. Greg helped me use my regal points using my phone number and reminded me i had birthday popcorn and recommended I pay an extra dollar and get a much bigger one ..so I did. It was really top notch and we saw a 3d movie was great sound and all the comfort of home. We are so fortunate to have such a great movie house right here in Modesto., Thank You regal and thank you Greg you made my birthday very happy and your recommendation of coffee ice cream to keep me awake was a great idea read more

I am a spontaneous movie goer and Modesto 10 was my favorite but since they put in the recliners I've yet to see a movie there because THERE ARE ONLY FRONT ROW SEATS LEFT. Why even bother having those seats? Today when we went there, many people leaving because of lack of seats. Brenden and Turlock Regal are now my favorites. Three strikes, you're out Modesto 10! Regal is okay. Although I prefer Galaxy 12 in Riverbank. Regal is always crowed, almost immposible to find close parking. The Theater itself is kinda dirty.I think I will stick to Galaxy. read more
