Decided to go for a late showing of Indiana Jones last night and instead of making our way all the way to our usual Cinnemark in tracy we went down the street to the regal in Modesto. This is a pretty janky movie theature not gonna lie, the amenities need a good updating and overall it needs a better way of handling business. I had to buy my tickets at the concession stands like really? The girl that helped was super nice and helpful since we don't do regal and honestly theirs a good reason, because someone explain to me why it cost so much to go to the movies now. Almost 15 bucks per ticket and then plus the snacks I spent well over 50 on nothing. THE POPCORN WAS COLD! SHe did hook it up with the jalapeños for my popcorn tho so ill give you that but nothing fancy about the theature size and seats for me to be spending that much on a ticket. Ill give it to you on an IMAX but not regular at 9:30 pm on a Wednesday. Ill stick to cinnemark which has a way better monthly program.

We received 2 movie passes from my employer as a gift last month so we thought we'd use them to see a movie on Monday for the Holiday. Our first problem we ran into was the passes were not compatible with the regal app becAuse they didn't have a "pin" . Why would they still sell or provide these type of passes that are incompatible?? So... We take a trip to the theatre at 10:10pm to use them in person. We arrive at McHenry Regal Stadium 10 and attempt to use the passes. The line seemed short however it took a long time for them to help the 3 customers ahead of us. When we get to the counter the cashier takes our passes and we pick out our seats and she tells us it's $3.00 for a "convenience" fee. What exactly is the convenience of I 1. Couldn't use them on the app. And 2. Had to drive to the theatre days ahead of the actual showing just to claim the seats we wanted before someone else got them? I'm so disappointed in Regal a GIFT certificate should cover the entire cost. How embarrassing to try and collect more. I will not be returning!! P

the most inappropriate and disrespectful movies in modesto!!!

the litte miss with the purple hair was so rude and not proper to say the least she is a crude and distasteful person who treated us like scum. Her attitude was beyond terrible. In addition to her rudeness she had the audacity to bring my diabetic sister into the mix; making fun of her disability by asking if she should be eating nerds. She needs to go!

I like that they had mini trays! No more reaching over to grab and hand full of popcorn

Great customer service from the minute we walked in. Bought out tickets early and Alan greeted us at the door. Easy check in, scanned my fandango barcode and informed me which screen to go to. Stopped by to buy pop corn and a soft drink and the cashiers did an excellent job delegating and worked quickly to bring down the line. Did not sacrifice quality and still efficient. Seating was clean and chairs were comfortable. For $70 on a Friday night with 3 adults and 1 child, movie, drink and snacks can't beat that. Love that they have security out in the parking lot as well. Piece of mind while my family and I are enjoying our movie. Huge improvement since I've came here as a teen. Keep it up Regal management.

used reward points towards free small popcorn, paid $1 extra to upgrade it to the medium size

When I arrived, I went to the concession stand but the attendants were not helpful at all. They simply stood there without greeting or assisting customers, and no one informed me that I needed to place my order at the kiosk. It was confusing and unwelcoming. After finally getting into the theater and taking our seats, there was no audio when the movie started. I went out to notify a staff member, but he responded rudely, just saying "OK" and telling me to go back without any reassurance that the problem would be fixed. When I returned, the movie had already started, but there was still no sound. I had to go back a second time, and fortunately, another employee was more helpful. He used his radio to contact someone and assured me that the sound would be restored shortly--which it was when I got back. Unfortunately, the experience was still ruined because the side lights in the theater were left on for the entire movie, washing out the screen and making it difficult to see. It was extremely distracting and frustrating, especially since we were looking forward to watching this film. I hope you'll take this feedback seriously and address these issues with both your staff and management so that future guests don't have a similar experience. I would also appreciate a response about how this will be handled.

My first time to this venue, located in downtown Modesto off of Highway 99. Convenient garage parking within walking distance for $5 (cash only, attended) for Gallo Center events on 12th Street. Maybe it's because it was close to showtime, but tickets weren't scanned upon entry to the venue, but not until you got to the specific level and at the actual entrance to the theater seating area. No bag check, not sure what the policy was. Ushers available to help find seats. Grand Tier Balcony (Balcony Middle) row C was not a bad view at all, comfy seating! This concert was called Stage, Screen, and Everything in Between. Her musicians included two backup vocalists, keyboards, piano, drums, bass and guitar. The show was 90 minutes plus encore performances, there was an early matinee and an evening show too. The program was fun! Broadway tunes, Disney heroines, and movie soundtracks. Didn't avail of any concessions or merch for purch but the women's restroom line was orderly and clean. #teamMulan #teamJasmine #teamEponine #teamKim

How often am I in Modesto?! Practically never. Before recently, it had probably been well over a…read moredecade since I stopped by. Somehow I've found myself out here twice within the past year: once after wine tasting in Ripon, and another time coming back from Fresno. Daaaamn has this place changed! I remember coming down here to visit old friends many years ago. The only thing really poppin' at the time was the bowling alley and the Sonic Drive Thru. Fast forward to now and they've really built up the downtown area. I mean... it's no Oakland or San Francisco by any means. But for a town that's located deep in the valley, it does alright for itself. I really like the design of the downtown area. Trees line many of the streets and there are all sorts of flowers planted throughout. I ran across some really neat wall art that reminded me of the artwork that you'd see in downtown Eureka. There's a big movie theater on the main block that's surrounded by tons of cute shops and restaurants. It felt pretty safe to walk the streets at night and everything is so well lit. This isn't a town that I plan to spend a whole bunch of time in, but it's nice to know that there's a hip downtown area to stop through during my travels to and from the central valley.

I was set to give Downtown Mo only 3 stars, when I realized that I actually look forward to coming…read morehere. So then, I thought about why that is exactly. First, & very important, are the eats in this hood. Need a great old school sandwich? There's The Brighter Side. Looking for really good gastro pub fare? There's Commonwealth. Perhaps you're looking for a more refined establishment appropriate for the ladies who lunch? Galletto's & Dewz are perfect for that. What about pizza? Are you craving a really good pie? Chefs of New York has recently opened a new location on J street. And coffee. Every & any downtown needs good coffee. Preservation Coffee is the coffee gem of this town. They're also on J street. Speaking of J street... It leads straight to, then turns into, McHenry Avenue. The historical main drag for cruising. The very place where George Lucas dreamed & imagined, years before he created Star Wars. Maybe you want to see a movie. You've got not 1, but 2 options; State Theater & Brendan Theaters. How about going on your lunch break, then playing hooky & catching a movie instead of going back to the office? It's not a suggestion. It's just an idea. I wish there was a Chase bank around though. Not one single branch of the King of Banks in all of Downtown? Ridiculous, right? Parking can be, but usually isn't, a problem. Street parking is pretty reliable, unless it's during peak times (lunch & after 5). The 2 main garages (both on 11th street) are a good crutch, & about 1/4 of what it costs to park in a downtown SF garage. Between both garages you can count on smooth sailing, unless there's a Gallo event or conventions, etc. And predictably, this hood closes early. Most of the restaurants close at 9:00 or 10:00, so check first if you're looking for a later supper (Tresetti's serves a limited menu till midnight). And there's only a couple of bars open until 2:00 (Tresetti's, The Boardroom). It's downtown. Downtown is all about daytime. 4 stars.

Review #860 Posted on 2.22.25…read more We came here with the kids on Saturday the 22nd to unwind a bit. We chose Funworks because they let you ride solo even if you're under 58 inches tall, just at a slower speed. That one feature in of itself separates this spot from the others, they trust the kids to drive the karts, and the kids have a blast doing so, they just limit how fast they can go in them, it's brilliant business model to be honest. This spot is a few miles from the freeway, super easy to get to. Beyond the go kart racing, they have tons of other options. There's miniature golf, bumper cars, batting cages, arcade games, and a small snack bar/food court. There's also plenty of separate spaces in that area for kids birthday parties too. The golf course was kept up pretty well we noticed. We'll for sure come back, and do the activities they offer again. They have different packages you can buy. I recommend the 12 ticket pack for $80, best bang for your buck.
