The seats alone are worth 5 stars - larger, more comfortable, better quality, more leg room than others (and they even recline a bit). Plenty of snack choices too. Nice to finally have a movie theatre in Brambleton/Ashburn. read more

This movie theater is absolutely disgusting! For charging the highest prices in the area, I am shocked by all the trash on the ground, in the cupholders and pouring out of the trash bin! Not a great experience today, primarily because of the ticket process. I bought 3 tix on Fandango, and when we arrived there were no seats. We could have jetted down to their Sterling location and caught the next showing, but NO... I had to stand in line to tell them they screwed me. Although they did offer a refund, they didn't offer even the tiniest of apologies. I was very disappointed considering the ridiculous price. We did end up just purchasing tix for the next showing... and then sticking around to kill 3 hours between showings. You'd think they could have offered the kids a token or something for a video game, since it is my kids that saved them the sale. But again... customer service is not a focus. I still offered 2 stars because the place is clean(ish) the seats are pretty comfortable, and the movie selection is good. But I have certainly made a note to myself that buying tix on Fandango ahead of time does not guarrantee me a seat. read more

The stadium seating is great, the facility is clean, and for a midnight showing it was not as crazy or overwhelming as I would have expected. The seats also recline a bit and you can lift up the arm of your chair in case you wan tto do some cuddling. The only thing I don't like is that you have to add the butter to the popcorn yourself, which I guess is good in terms of portion control, but I feel like that leaves the top half of my popcorn supremely buttered and the bottom half lacking the yummy flavor. read more

Visited this theater today for the first time to see Star Wars in IMAX. I was really impressed by the layout of the lobby (I live in Winchester and our Carmike must've been designed by a 4 year old). Theater was spacious, staff was friendly, & bathrooms were clean. Before arriving, my boyfriend and I kept trying to guess if they would serve beer or not because we couldn't find a definite answer online anywhere. We thought about stopping at a bar on our way to have a few drinks just in case, but decided to take our chances (Wow don't I sound like an alcoholic....). I guess the Alamo Draft house in Winchester has us spoiled, where we can order a pitcher of just about anything and have it delivered to our seats. Yes, this Regal does serve beer and wine but it's not what we had hoped for. Instead of giving you the bottle, they pour it into a tiny plastic cup and will only allow one drink per ID at a time. I understand why, but it's a huge inconvenience to have to get up during the movie for a refill. Also, they only allow 3 drinks per visit. Again, understandable but disappointing. Popcorn wasn't too bad; we went to a 7PM movie so I expected to get popcorn from around noon but it actually tasted pretty fresh and butter is self serve which is awesome. Our theater was massive, and there were only about 5 other people in there. I hadn't been to an IMAX for years so I didn't really know what I was in for, but it's basically just a 3D movie. It was REALLY loud in there, like uncomfortably loud, yet somehow I still fell asleep mid way through the movie (I guess those 3 beers got to me lol). Overall this is a really nice, clean theater. Can't say that I'll make aha it of coming here since it's an hour away, but if you're local check it out! read more

This place must be run by imbeciles. We saw the last Harry Potter movie at this theater last night and it was the worst experience I've ever had in a movie theater. First, the projector was not aligned correctly during the previews so we missed all of them. Someone had to notify a staff member and thankfully it was fixed before the movie started. However, the audio was not right during the movie, as if some speakers were not functioning. So, we could barely hear the dialogue. Here's the best part. In the middle of the movie, someone in the projector room turned on a light and opened a big window next to the projector. I'm guessing this idiot wanted to watch the movie from inside the room. This caused a spotlight to be shining on anybody sitting on the top rows causing the "suspect line-up" effect where you're in a lighted area looking in to a dark area; making it hard to see the screen. Since this was a late showing, there were no employees or managers around to notify. For a place that over-charges for tickets, you would think they can afford to hire employees that are competent. I was mistaken to assume this. read more

This is a great theater! It's a hidden gem, really and I kinda hope that it doesn't turn into Tysons or some obnoxious teen filled theater. I was expecting it to be filled to the brim but it wasn't overly crowded. It's clean! Staff was friendly. This may be our go to theater from now on and I was so surprised to find it only 15 minutes from our house. It's closer than going all the way to Rave Theaters at Fairfax Corner. There are lots of eatery and restaurants close by. The seats are black leather seats. Bathrooms were clean. We will definitely come back for more movies! read more

If you want to feel like you're living in "High School Musical", this is the movie theater for you. I have never seen so many pre-tweens, tweens, and teens at one locale in my life...and this is all w/o parental supervision. And mayhem ensues. Its probably a seasonal thing being summer and school being out. Once you get past the giggly girls and obnoxiously loud gaggle of children and avoid getting run over by the skateboarders, the theatre itself is great. Very clean, doesn't reek of artificial butter and stale popcorn, and is complete with very competent and helpful staff and fast-moving lines. The theatres themselves are big, clean, and comfy...no complaints there. I've only had great experiences at this theatre...plus, lots of places to eat nearby and in the shopping center next door, which is in walking distance. read more

I really do like this theatre! The seating is extremely comfortable. The food options are expansive and they offer wine and beer! Not use to that option and think it is a nice touch. The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. I have not seen anything in IMAX yet, just standard. read more

Nice screen and seems clean but worst 3D glasses, movie is too loud, seats are too small and the armrest doesn't go up, and if you sit center or to the sides the A/C freezes you to death. Lots of steps, I feel bad for people who have trouble walking, and if you don't like looking down at a screen sit center or closer toward the screen a bit. Also you put the butter on your own popcorn, but the soda tasted funny. Not planning to come here again. read more

Ok, I'll start off with the pluses of this place, and they are big pluses when it comes to movie theaters. The biggest plus is that Fox is clean, not sometimes, pretty much all the time. I have never had an issue with this theater being messy, unlike the Countryside Regal that many Ashburn residents may remember not-so-fondly before Fox's arrival. Secondly, it is large and well decorated. The atmosphere is light with pleasing colors that don't hurt the eyes. Many theaters are dark or have strange color schemes inside, Fox is nice in this regard. As for the size, it has many theaters, so its easy to see what you want when you want. Lastly, the seats. They rock; they're leather, reclinable, and very wide and cushy. There is also always parking available in the garages, even on the busiest days. Ok the bad, and these are big "bads." Price, both at the box office and at the concessions, but mostly the concessions. The prices of the movies themselves are not necessarily too bad, but they are higher than the average these days. Their discounts though are an absolute joke. I know the military discount is itself almost like a slap in the face. I think at this point it's only 50 cents off regular admission. It used to be a superb discount along with the student and senior discounts. All of them are awful now and I remember hearing that high school students are no longer entitled to the discount. Concessions are AWFUL. The quality is bad, the portions are too small or way too large. Sneak food into the place because the concessions prices are criminally high. I can't stress how awful the prices are. Just go check it out for yourself, but try not to have a heart attack. read more

The majority of the poor ratings I see relating to this theater are completely ridiculous; considering the theater is located in one of the wealthiest counties in the nation I can only assume that these are from the spoiled wealthy. The complaints range from, "staff is lazy," "icy machine broken," "lack of security," "long lines," to "stale popcorn" and expensive concession items!!!?? One bad review actually complained about "Loose kids," as if it's the theaters responsibility to control other peoples children. Really?? As for long lines; don't go during peak hours. Coke machine broken? Either sneak it in or drop the bad habit of feeding diabetic sugar water to your spoiled offspring. I mean come on! What movie theater does not have lazy teenagers, no security, at least one machine broken, long lines during peak hours and stale popcorn? Leave Loudoun county and come to some of the places I've seen movies. I love this theater, the neighborhood is beautiful, clean and ritzy and surrounded by a small variety of shops, most importantly I feel safe! The theater itself is clean, smells nice, looks great, and the bathroom toilets are not overflowing with sewage into the hallway. The theater seats are big, cozy and comfortable, not torn up, broken or soiled with some foul liquid. Never have I experienced a random drunk homeless person standing up in the middle of the theater and yelling about how the government is trying to watch him pee. Quality of picture and surround sound, phenomenal! The hallways are well lit with benches and don't lead you to a dark alley behind the theater where shifty-eyed criminals feel the need to ask you for gas money or to borrow a smoke. So, for the 99%, take my word for it, you'll love this place. I recommend seeing a mid-day matinee; you have a chance of getting the theater to yourself, the staff has nothing better to do but to cater to only you, and there are no lines to the bathroom. In a way, you'll fell like you're part of the 1%! Just don't get a big head about it and wind up writing a dumb review. read more

This used to be my favorite theatre, it's close to South Riding, not the closest, but close enough. Yes there are tons of young kids hanging around and sometimes can be a pain in the movie. Today was my last day as a paying customer, after tonight I will drive out of my way to avoid this place. As a rewards member, I enjoy going to the movies and earning points for free stuff. I earned a free movie, tried to use it tonight only to be told that it was expired and they would not honor it. When I asked to speak to a manager, she came and was not a lot of help. After I explained the situation, she responded that she was sorry but that was the policy. I totally understand policy, however, a little niceness would have gone a long way, how about a free coke or popcorn, something to show that you value me as a customer and would like me to come back again. When I mentioned that she was losing me as a customer, I got the same "I'm sorry response". I think the manager needs to learn some customer service skills. read more

Hard to find and in the middle of nowhere but it was spacious, comfy, empty and close to a Coldstone. The theater wasn't freezing cold either which was nice. Most places turn up the AC so high that your eyes frost over before the movie's half through. However I want to write the review to commend the manager, Mr Perez, who was extremely kind and professional. I bought tickets through fandango and realize when I got there I had forgotten my phone with confirmation number and the credit card I used for that transaction. Let me preface this review with the fact I am clearly over 17. I went to see an R rated film, and I could not find my ID in my wallet. The cashier, who was a manager, refused to let me in. She had this smug look on her face the whole time. I was seeing red, and I almost ripped up the ticket from the costco pack up. After I use it, i'll drive to fairfax corner or tysons to avoid the regal chain. There was an instance where, when I had my ID, that they refused to sell me two R rated tickets because I was under 21. My sister went to see a movie, she purchased her ticket and then at concessions changed her mind on the movie and wanted to see a different one. She got a "no" as an answer, which is odd because i've done it in the past. I cut my reward card up after the continuous garbage that I or my family have had to put up with by the staff. read more

Movie theatre quality itself was fine. I was highly annoyed that I had to show my ID twice to prove that was over 21. I first showed my ID when I purchased my ticket AND then when I went to give to the attendant that advises you on the theatre number and direction. It would have been appropriate for the person of whom I purchased my ticket from to tell me to leave my ID out for the next attendant. At that point, I had completely stowed away my ID and taking it out again served as an inconvenience. Annoyed to say the least. I think I'll stick to AMC. read more

Fantastic theater! Very clean, never over crowded, great stadium seating and huge screens. The staff is always very nice and service is efficient. The kids love Cobb more because there are more kids there, and the social experience is more exciting for them, but I will take less kids running around and screaming any day when I go to the movies! read more

I'm not sure why not everyone is giving this theater 5 stars. It is obviously the best theater in Northern VA. Unless you are super super super picky, you will fall in love with this theater and even drive miles past other theaters just to see movies here. You won't ever get uncomfortable in their chairs, and you actually feel good after sitting in them for 2-3 hours straight (unlike other theaters). Ever seat has a good view, sound quality is great, screens are great. The place is always clean and staff is very friendly. read more

This theater is very clean! Compared to the SoMD crap theaters I've been to. Nice big screen, big comfy seats, cup holder next to you versus on the back of the person in front of you. $18.50 for popcorn and soda, ouch! Guess that's why I don't go to movies that often. Love the leather seats and the ability to lift up the arm to snuggle with hubby. No one can block your view either as all the theatres have stadium seating! Watched Avatar in 3D - amazing :) Still can't believe we have a first class movie theatre in our own backyard (so to speak)! read more

Went for a double feature a few weeks ago, and had to leave in the middle due to a family emergency. I was too close to the showtime of the second movie, so they refused a refund and told me to try Fandango. What a joke! I was in too much of a hurry to stay and argue, but this experience reminded me why I didn't go to Regal Cinemas for a long time. Horrible customer service and bad advice. This definitely puts Regal down in the bottom of the totem poles. Customers Service is the most important aspect of working in this industry. This is what I was taught to me when I started working at a Movie theater. Customers are the priority, and everything else is second. read more
