I took my 8yr old Grandson out Saturday for a full day of fun. After lunch and a little shopping, we caught Super Mario Bros. Galaxy in 3D at Regal Azalea Square. It was our first time there so we were super excited. I purchased our tickets online so we could secure our seats in the top row. My grandson likes to stand and dance during movies so I like to get us seats where he doesn't obstruct / disturb anyone's views ( He has sensory processing disorder so he's hyper) it was such a fun experience. The 3D effects really added to the adventure--bright colors, fast-paced scenes, and those classic Mario world details felt like they were popping right off the screen. The price was a little steep $38 dollars for 2 but I guess thats the price for a cool little experience. The 3D view made the whole movie feel more immersive and playful, especially during the action sequences. I never knew Princess Peach had an older sister Princess Rosalina and we absolutely loved Yoshi!! The theater itself was clean, comfortable, and the snacks were well-organized. There were clear bins at the end of the counters for both children and adult sized 3d glasses. There were also bins outside of theater #10 for you to place your used 3d glasses in once the movie ended. The Sound quality was strong, and the visuals were sharp, which made the 3D experience even better. We met some cool little kids in the movies so it was a really enjoyable experience for my grandson and that's what's important to me. I am his only friend and he's only 8yrs old. The theater staff kept things moving smoothly, and it was an easy, enjoyable outing from start to finish. If you're looking for a light, entertaining movie night with a little extra visual punch, this is definitely the way to see it. The only down side was we missed the recycling electric chairs. Tickets were bought a few hours prior to movie so when we headed back to the theater, was able to head right to the movie. The theater and restrooms overall were was clean. I wasn't the biggest fan of the seats, uncomfortable in my opinion as I tried to get comfy throughout the movie. There was one line to purchase tickets and snacks, so the line was long so did not get snacks prior. The inside was easy to navigate to get to our theater. read more

Theater is clean, doesn't smell, and has comfortable seats. Kiosks are available indoors and you can purchase food and drink through it as well. We learned they only make the Cheetos popcorn once a week so we got a large popcorn instead. Polite customer service at the snacks counter. read more

The theater I sat in wasn't freezing so that's a very good thing. The seats are comfy. The floor is clean. Sound is good. Screen is good. What got me was the $2.00 non refundable service fee for booking online. I didn't like that. Next was the fact that the preview period is now THIRTY MINUTES!!!! So you either book ahead online and get dinged for that or get here early and be advertised at for a half hour. Not ideal. read more

I dislike writing negative, or even "constructive" reviews. But, when I found myself searching Yelp to find a nicer theater in the area, I realized how helpful feedback can be to others. Long ago, my spouse and I were always going out to the movies. It was a fun, reasonably priced date and we both very much enjoyed the movies themselves and the experience. Since streaming became so mainstream, movie theaters, and "going to the movies" isn't what it used to be. Tl;dr -- I'm going to try not to hold the general and widespread decline of movie theaters against Regal Azalea Square. That said, Regal Azalea Square is a prime example of why no one cares to visit movie theaters in 2025. We bought our tickets online but the process to redeem them was confusing. I also generally like the ability to select seats ahead of time online, but in this instance, I didn't. There were maybe 20 other people at our show and over half of them picked seats right near ours. Without assigned seating, I'm sure we all would have spread out more. The lobby and concession area did not appear to be busy and seemed to be adequately staffed, yet it took way too long for us to be helped and to check out. All for the pleasure of spending $30 on a medium popcorn and two sodas. Sure, movie concessions have always been expensive, but $8 for one soda just feels wrong. All in, our show with popcorn and soda set us back $60 for two people. The popcorn wasn't even that fresh-tasting or delicious. Overall the service, concession taste and quality was below average. Regal Azalea Square does not have reclining seats. It does not serve alcohol. There is absolutely nothing special about this place. The motivation behind our choice was its convenient to us location. If I'm spending $60, I want the experience to feel special in some kind of way. Our afternoon at the movies at Regal Azalea Square just felt sad. Next time we want to see a movie on the big screen, we'll drive a little farther for a more memorable time. read more

Friendly worker helped us at the counter. We came for "late night with the devil" at 7pm. Place was pretty big and of course movie prices are insane. 7$ for a bottle water. No thanks The women's bathroom also had a terrible stench. It was almost unbearable. Someone should look into that. The seats seemed very old and not the most comfy. I have been here a few times, twice with my youngest son and once with my girlfriend. Theater is always clean, nice seats (not the full recliners though), friendly staff. On my most recent visit, a group of other patrons was being rather disruptive and required multiple interventions from staff who also gave out free passes as apology to everyone in the theater; not requested or needed, but appreciated. Living in North Charleston, this seems to be the closest decent theater to me, but I haven't looked that hard for alternatives (there's a good local theater on Sam Rittenberg too). Definitely disappointed in the lack of Regal experience. It can be so much better. The chair needs to be upgraded. The popcorn was warm and flavorless. Someone from previous screening vomited in the row I paid for. They tried to give me napkins to clean it up. After I told them about the vomit. Which I shouldn't had to tell them. Because if they were cleaning in between screenings they would have saw it. A worker then came out to clean it with the same napkins and no gloves on. Like why didn't you bring a mop. After she cleaned it with napkins proceeded to take a customers popcorn that was cold. Changed it out and brought it back without washing her hands. OH my goodness the stench was nearly unbearable in theater 16, to the point where we almost left! My kids were like, oh my goodness what is that smell, as their feet stuck to the floor on our way to our seats. They have an off duty police officer now due to some of the petty crime in the area, which comes with the territory of a large plaza off the interstate. The restrooms are nasty and small and with an odd layout that makes it difficult for folks to come in and out. We will continue coming here because it's close to our house, not crowded, and have plenty of showings. However, PLEASE CLEAN THE PLACE UP! read more

This is the only theater near me so we have only gone to this location in Summerville. It's quite out dated and very chill. The seats are ridiculously uncomfortable. My back is still sore after sitting for a long movie. the cinema is very clean though. They also play old school movies each month which I think is cool. I've begun going to regal more often since getting the unlimited pass. Right now we are able to get free upgraded tickets to RPX movies, which rocks!! The customer service here is top notch. The theater is a little outdated but has been clean when I've been. I have experienced some weird sound issues but it didn't ruin the movie so I'm still happy! read more

Never crowded due to the number of theaters but the bottleneck is purchasing the tickets. Went this past Tuesday to watch Elvis and Where the Crawdads Sing but spent more than 15 minutes in line to buy the tickets and popcorn. No longer a ticket office. Employees are clueless and extremely slow with ticket sales and snack bar. The popcorn isn't worth it and the prices are overpriced. RPX seats aren't worth the extra money. The seats do not recline the arm rests aren't movable. The standard theater are in need of revamping and cleaning throughout. Just do better or close down. There's nothing to really write home about with this theater. They do online tickets where you pick your own seat, easy. They just scan your phone when you come in. Also easy. But the concession stand is the slowest ever. It took the cashier 10 minutes to get two popcorns and two drinks for th people in front of me. Another 5 minutes to process payment. I ordered only a drink and it took more than 5 minutes. Their prices are also outrageous. The theaters themselves are not bad. Seats aren't recliners but they do lean back. They're pretty comfortable. I found them to be a tad bid small, but that may just be me being spoiled by the large recliners in other theaters nearby. The temperature was a bit cold for me. The bathrooms were well maintained and clean. I'll probably continue to go to northwoods unless this is the only option for time and movie that will work read more

Giving two stars instead of one because at the very least they had a matinee version of the movie we wanted to see and the other theatre in town did not. That being said, we went on a Monday at 10:15. When we arrived there was tons of popcorn sitting on the grind outside by the door. Walk inside to buy tickets because of course they only have a kiosk to buy tickets at and no one to help and there was tons of popcorn on the floor inside. It was like they didn't clean up from the weekend because surely no one was spilling popcorn before the theatre even opened for the day. The floors were super sticky and there was no soap in the bathrooms. Also the icee machine was broken. It wasn't that they were understaffed because there were plenty of workers... they were just all standing around. The movie was good but everything else about the theatre was abysmal. read more

This theater is ok. It's conveniently located in Azalea Square. The prices have gone up throughout the years but I haven't noticed any improvements to the theater. Two tickets for Venom in RPX 3D was about $32. The concession prices are high...a small popcorn was $7! Some of the rooms have reserved seats, unfortunately, our movie was shown in a smaller, dated room. There's definitely a lack of elbow room, as the seats are small and close. Luckily, we didn't have anyone on either side of us. The bathrooms are disgusting! Always filthy...yuck. There's an adorable room that can be reserved for children's birthday parties. read more

Each time I have been to this theater the actual movie started 1/2 hour later then the listed show time, due to all the commercials and a few previews. Got a hotdog there, would not recommend, bun was dry and hotdog did not taste like any hotdogs I've had before. Popcorn was excellent. read more

Recently moved to the area so this was only my first time at this regal location. It appears as if it has been forgotten about. I felt that things may not have been updated since they opened. They no longer are you use the box offices and give you the option of using the cubicle but there is only one of them. You are able to, also, buy your ticket at the snack bar. My biggest issue was that it was dirty. The snack bar area just needed tidying up and there were plenty of kids behind the snack counter just chitchatting. Also, when we walked into the theatre there was popcorn and trash everywhere. It had obviously not been cleaned after the last movie. FYI, the "reclining seats" are the normal stadium seating that the back falls back about 5 inches but does not stay in place. read more

for starters, me and some friends were watching Sonic 2. After just about 30 minutes into the movie, we noticed a grown woman vaping during the movie. There were small children around her and i also have some health problems. I went to the manager and told him what happened. They did nothing to stop her from vaping. All they did was look at her and leave the theatre. I was having a full on panic attack throughout the whole movie. I felt like i was about to vomit. Not to mention she kept vaping after the manager came in and she also did it in the bathroom before she left. You all need to work on actually confronting whoever is doing that crap. Had the worst experience at this theater that I have ever had.My wife and I are unlimited meme era and this month we have a free medium popcorn as a reward. We went to the theater and tried to redeem it. They said they were out of medium bags and we would have to buy a small or large. We spoke to the manager Angel and she would not try and solve the problem. She did go to the store room to verify they were out of medium bags. Since this is a reward they offer and it expires in 4 days seems like something could have been done to resolve this. I would take 2 small a and even offered that solution but nothing to help from the staff. One of the staff starting laughing out loud as we walked away. BF and I stopped in because this is his theater of choice and he likes to watch movies in RPX. We came to see "Frozen II." The sound was amazing and the picture was clear. The seats are quite comfortable, however, I'm not a big person nor am I average. Thankfully the theater wasn't full and no one was sitting in front of me so I put my foot on the back of the seat in front of me. I know that's not the best thing to do, but I felt like the seat was going to close on me if I didn't anchor myself by doing this. This makes me wonder how children are able to sit in these seats without feeling like they're going to get closed in the seats! The popcorn was pretty fresh and the butter was very buttery! Grab some extra napkins!! Concessions was opened on both sides so make sure you check both sides to make sure you're not waiting in a long line for no reason. This used to be our go-to theater. Now....not as much. They keep it decently clean. Some staff are nice, some are not as nice. My biggest issue is the price. Their tickets prices continually rise & their concession stand prices are straight robbery. We went to see a new release last year. They showed it in 3D (where you have to pay more) and if you didn't want 3D, they left your only option as their RPX, which is also an additional charge. I was furious!!!! I just want to see a regular movie. I'm already having to pay almost $11 for a ticket & you are forcing me to now pay additional $ because my only option is your "advanced experience" crap?
