I have never been to this Theater in Augusta and bought tickets for me and my parents to see Avatar in 3D. This is one of the dirtiest theaters I have ever been too in my life. We got there and were told that they had run out of 3D glasses and that they would bringing some out. We waited 5 minutes and someone brought a tray of unclean 3D glasses which was surprisingly, I mean they didn't even wipe them down. Several families including us were using sanitizer and cleaning their own glasses. Every IMAX i've been too in the past gave us glasses in the plastic in the past, so this was a disgusting surprise. That was warning #1. Once we got into the theater this was not IMAX IMAx this screen is a smaller IMAX. The seats are very uncomfortable and extremely close. There were a couple families around us that were coughing which was outside the theaters control but we left before the movie started due to the seats being so small and the movie being over 3 hours long, dirty glasses that we cleaned. We went to the customer service desk to get a refund and waited 20 minutes and the manager never came. Seriously 20 minutes!!! I finally decided to leave and call corporate about the experience and leave this Yelp review. This is a terrible theaters and should be avoided at all costs. read more

Seating was very comfortable m, the 3d effects for the movie were on point. I am not much of a 3d film kinda guy but the Avengers Infinity War was amazing. The glasses did not bother at all. Theater was clean and the popcorn was fresh. read more

Love the new leather recliners in select theaters. Sound was fantastic as you could feel the vibration but not screaming loud. Crystal clear screen. And stay until after credits... I was surprised the new pirates of carribean had a little cliff hangar after the full roll of credits! At least enjoy the music! $6 movie Tuesdays and and 1/2 off any size popcorn! Great cheap date night!!! read more

The facility and location is great. BUT!!!---Regal at the Augusta Ga location needs to get their act together. If you're planning on going to a movie you need to get there an hour 1/2 early because they never have enough folks working the window. You have to stand in line forever for tickets- buy online if you can. The concession stand is a freaking joke and it moves at snail pace. I went Saturday and it was 30+ in line everyone was complaining that their movie had started. When lines are back up all the employees should be doing is taking orders period. Don't try and carry on conversations with other employees and customers keep the lines moving. I frequent this location often but I'm about to stop because it's ALWAYS Ridiculously SLOW SLOW SLOW! read more

Paid way to much. But after waiting 25 minutes for chicken strips and onion rings that caused my grandson and I to miss the 1st 20 minutes of the movie, I adamantly requested a refund for the food and the movie. I don't mind spending money if you can get what you pay for. Mainly a like seeing a movie from the beginning. Here is what I paid for and got it all back. A small slushy for my grandson, a small soda for me, 6 chicken strips with onion rings $11.00 and change, and nachos and cheese $6.00 and change. Oh may I add the chips come in a bag like the chips you can buy from the corner store. So however I was being over charged. These 2 items add up to about $17.00. My total food bill was $32.00. Do the math on the drinks. read more

As often as I go see movies Regal is definitely at the top of my list. Yes the prices are high but that's the case throughout the area for first run movies. The main complaint I have about this theater is often they don't have enough staff manning the ticket sales booth so the queue can get quite long. The facility is very nice - especially now that they've remodeled and added recliner seats. Concessions are what you'd expect in a theater these days - quality wise and price wise. Make sure you get a Regal Crown Club card. It's an easy way to earn points towards food items and movie tickets. As a member of the club you also get insider information and free food or upgrades from time to time. All in all I'd highly recommend the Augusta Exchange Regal Cinemas. You won't be disappointed. read more

Very relaxing, family oriented. I love it. I go for the popcorn also, so delicious. Since the upgrade, it is lovelier than ever. I didn't get too comfortable....one sure could. This place gets three stars simply because it's about the only thing to do in the wasteland that is Augusta. I'm exiled there about twice a year to visit family and going to the movies is pretty much all I have to look forward to. Yes, it's crowded and noisy, but I don't really care. I'm not stuck in my grandparents' house and that's pretty much all that matters to me. I also don't really see the point in complaining about the prices. Movies have gotten expensive. The snacks have gotten expensive. If you don't want to shell out for snacks, take a girl with a big purse and stash some things in there. It's a fact of life. If you don't want to shell out $12/ticket, then don't go. Simple, no? Again, in my case, it's but a small price to pay for a few hours to myself. This probably isn't the most useful review on the planet, but we're talking about Augusta here. It's neither a bustling metropolis nor a cultural destination, so the best you're going to get is a noisy cineplex full of the great unwashed. Did I mention there's nothing else to do in this town? read more

The upgraded seating is nice, and I guess recliners in every theatre would be expensive. Extending pricing scale of food/snack/popcorn to alcohol was predictable. Not predictable or too cool, price of a mixed drink with multiple liquors being less expensive than simple vodka & sprite or bourbon & coke. Seats. Don't match up with fandango seat chooser...and seat rows are not marked. Ticket reads FO. The seats on row behind railing are numbered randomly. Did I miss notice seats are first come first serve? Ps, inform cleaning crew the smell of wet bleach it's not ideal for a 2 hr movie. read more

Went to see the new Jurassic park movie.. they couldn't get a handle on the food line at all. This translated over to the bar as well, the bar tender was awesome but was upset because she was out of all of the Jurassic park themed dinosaur drinks. Half of the items for the top gun drinks were out of stock as well. The IMAX seats were pretty narrow and don't have the foot rest option so don't waste your money. read more

Positives: - Big ole parking lot - If you arrive early, they're across the street from an adult video arcade! - Two kiosks inside to avoid the line outside - They got liquor and beer - Really nice seating Cons: - I know it's a movie theater...but this NYC dude doesn't expect to pay that much per volume when he is that far below the Mason Dixon and NOT in an internationally-recognized major metropolitan area...especially when they don't give samples on specialty draft beers. Fortunately, the woman working the bar was nice and knowledgeable about the flavor profiles of the quality beer I ordered. But around $6 for what couldn't have been more than a half pint? Chile... - Worst popcorn we had all ever had in any movie theater. All five of us agreed. This, even though it was freshly popped! Yet it still tasted stale, bland as anything. We asked for butter and salt, couldn't really taste much butter and not a hint of salt. Since there weren't any packets or shakers at the condiment stand, two of us asked for some salt. One of us was given a plastic cup with some yellow powdered substance (the stuff they use when poppin' it)....helped a little for a hot minute.....the other was given proper salt...but that was clumping from moisture...huge waste of money on that concession item. - The usher who had to help two late comers claim their reserved seating didn't take one bit of effort to do so quietly or without blocking the screen. Regular speaking voice used, and rump all up in my line of view for a good couple of minutes. - Water fountains pump out warm water... There are other options in Augusta, y'all.... read more

It cost me 15 for 2 tickets at a 1230pm viewing. If you are wanting food or drink i would suggest wait. A large soda and popcon will get you towards the ticket price for 2 people. The ticket counter is slow and the snack counter is slow as well. The theater itself has comfortable seats and pretty much impossible to have anyone in your sight line. The theater also smelled kind of bad. Kept getting wafts of mildew and sour smells. Overall the theater is ok but nothing that will keep me from going across town to what i feel is a better theater read more

Ok. So there really isn't many choices in Augusta. Either you go to the Regal, or you go to the dollar theater. There are a couple other movie theaters around, but the Regal is the only one that is close. So why two stars? First off is the price. As most movie theaters have gotten, this movie theater is expensive. Granted it's cheaper to go in the day, but than, we all have jobs during the day and many of us can't help but go at night or on the weekends. This place is really bad. I mean the theaters themselves are really comfortable, nice stadium seating, but what gives this movie theater a 1-2 rating in my book is the clientele. Two weeks ago I went to this movie theater, and had one of my worst movie theater experiences ever. Seeing how Augusta is right on top of a military base, the theater is visited by military a lot. Now I'm as patriotic as everyone else, but just because you're military doesn't mean you can be socially unacceptable. Basically some young guys from the military talked, acted up, and cursed (which is why I didn't label this as a kid friendly atmosphere). It's not only that, but often due to its location you'll get some elements in the theater that you'd probably rather not be around, and you'll often find crowds of people who talk, a lot. In fact, I really do hate movie theaters, but the experiences I've had here have just been some of the worst. The prices are expensive, good luck finding a decent parking spot, the movie theaters tend to be crowded and full of "talkers", and if you don't get there early you're likely to get a bad seat. So a 2 is pushing it for this movie theater. If the people who went here changed, and it wasn't so busy all the time, than it'd be a better place, but I'll stick with the Evans 14 crowd. At least most of the people you find there will be suburbanites who know their manners and how to be polite, even most of their kids. read more

The screens at this theater are wayyyyyy outdated and poor quality. Their "IMAX" is a true disappointment. The graphic quality is truly sub-standard. They also skimp on military discounts, I think they only offer it one day a week which is nonsense. The only good thing about this theater is that it features the most up to date films. That's about it. The rest is pretty bla. It makes me appreciate the good movie theaters even more. read more

Becoming my favorite local theater! We love movies and go 2-3 times or more a week! This is close to us and the staff are very nice! I came here two days in a row, to see movies since there isn't much else to really do in Augusta. Thursday night movie one cashier, we were able to get tickets and to the movie with no problem. Friday evening, the line is dang near to the road and there is one cashier....ONE CASHIER..... We arrived about 20 minutes before the movie started, by the time we finally got tickets and rushed to the theater, the movie had already started :( The place is kinda of old but the theater itself wasn't in bad shape. read more

Stopped going to this theater a few years back--every time I see a scary movie there are underaged children in the theater screaming, cackling, and ruining the experience. They have generally taken care of the concern; however, this happens far too often. Lines generally very long for concessions which is unfortunate. The theater is not always the cleanest. There prices are, however, slightly cheaper than other theaters in the CSRA which is a plus. Overall an okay facility. read more

Truly representative of "Digusta" as we call it...my fiance and I made a last minute decision to go see 10 Cloverfield Lane weeks after it came out on a Thursday afternoon. So we were 20 minutes late, not that we cared since the beginning is all trailers and mundane story introduction anyway. We were told they can't sell us the tickets (I've NEVER heard of a movie theater NOT trying to take your money!!) since it was 20 minutes into the movie because it would bother other people already seated. So how many people would it bother??? ZERO because no one else had bought tickets for this movie!!!!! (It was opening day for the new Batman vs. Superman to put it in perspective). This is what happens when you let natives run the show in a tiny backward country town. The theater is old, doesn't look like it's been upkept, and truly does smell like mildew inside! This is also why Regal is a slowing dying theater chain...btw, Regal is also considering bag checks for guns (even if you legally carry). Regal will never get my business again. Let AMC reign! #stupid20minuterule for an EMPTY theater. read more

I went in for a visit today, I already had my ticket off the Regal Crown Club app. However, I now have to wait 20 plus minutes at concession for others to purchase their tickets and food. When I get to the counter I am told that they will not be cooking anything from the grill so not only was I running late for my movie, I did not have any of the concessions I wanted. I would highly suggest reopening the box office if you cannot manage running both inside. read more

The movies are great, no doubt about it. But let's get to talking about this specific theater.... The theater is beautiful! Inside and out! The price for one ticket is crazy! You could just pay for the movie when it comes out and save so much money. And that's not even counting the price for family and friends. I have never been so ripped off before I visited here. $9 for popcorn?! I felt so guilty after buying it, but I promised somebody that I would get them popcorn. My. Bad. It made me so mad! So I walked up to go get my popcorn, and another customer cut me off. There were about 10 employees behind the counter, all the registers were working, and only one was open. Nobody said or did anything about it, but they sure took a long time to get that woman's order. Once I finally got to the register after one customer, they nearly begged me to buy some stupid candy as soon as I walked up. No. Just, no. read more

It's a good theatre. Long lines. If you see a movie after 9:00pm, they ask for ID (suppose to be for minors) I will take it as a compliment they wouldn't allow me in without my ID and wait for it.....I'm 38 years old LOL! (I think the woman manager has control issues) ;) I took a picture of the policy effective in 2009, it clearly states, ID will be asked for minors and I know for sure I look older than 18. It ticked me off cos I was already running late and then had to go find my license in the truck so I could watch The dang movie. But again, lady manager, thanks so much for thinking I was a minor. read more

I must confess I'm a guy who looks at my movies on my MacPro or android tv box, but I wanted to see certain movies on a larger screen than a 55 inch one so here we go. I came here twice in the last 6 weeks for 2 pretty good flicks(do they still say flicks anymore??). I get my ticket online at their site or at Atom.com. Seat selection is great but sometimes confusing. Comfortable seats and if you get lucky and pick the right one you have a great view of the screen. Parking is good if you get here early for the best spot or you will parking near the next plaza(not good when raining).I have never tried the food station yet because most of the time I eat dinner before or after. Sound quality is great as well as the video. It is very clean with no popcorn sticking to you shoes or messy seats. Bring the family and get out the house and come here! read more

I recently just tried to purchase through the app for a movie tomorrow with my family. My card was charged and I never received any tickets or any confirmation. This theater is dirty, and the particular theater we went into was super small, but that's also because it was a movie that has been playing for awhile, so they moved it into the small room instead. Y'all have got to figure out concessions on weekends. Shouldn't have to stand in line for 45 minutes. That's just poor.

I purchased tickets to the Star Wars movie online last night. We were able to bypass the ticketing line because they have kiosks inside to print your online tickets which is a breeze. The ticket taker was up in the wing of the theater and he was very nice and handed us in the wrapper 3D glasses and told us where our theater was. The seats were nice reclining leather or leatherette and the space between rows is very nice. The theater was very clean and didn't smell of stale popcorn and my shoes didn't stick to the floor from spilled drinks. The bathroom was clean and tidy. The best option that Augusta has in movie theatres, well it's the only option unless you go to Evans theatre which is worse. I came here with my friends to watch Harry Potter in 3-D. This place was a pleasant surprise!!! We were just expecting to go see a little movie. It was the first time we have been able to watch a movie together in a long time. The assigned seats kinda threw me off when we first got there. But I didn't think to much of it. When i went to the concession stands i looked to my right and realized it was a bar in the theater. We went into the actual theater its self and as soon as we sat down i realized that the seat were reclining seats, it was a wrap after that. I knew it was going to go one of two ways, I was going to enjoy the movie as if i was in the comfort of my own home or i was going to sleep as if i was in the comfort of my own home!!! I would absolutely recommend this place to stop by and catch a movie. From the floors to the bathrooms everything was spotless. read more
