Love the nostalgic look of this place. Even though it has some age on it the place is well kept and clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. Went here to watch Wicked 2 which is now considered an old 2D movie. I bought tickets at the concession stand and there was only one person there, so expected it to take a little bit. However checkout was fine and was able to use my Regal points. The theater seats itself have nice recliners. However going in unfortunately one of the seats we chose was a mess of crumbs (guessing since there's minimal staff), so I had to clean it off. The sound in the movie was just incredibly loud, even with the previews. However still glad that this is a theater that still offers discount days, so was happy to still make use of that deal. On date night, we decided to go see Black Panther two at the Regal Exchange cinema do to them having late showings. The lines were pretty long, but I knew it would be long because it was the premiere of a new movie. I just couldn't believe that it was as dirty as it was from walking in to the main entrance to even going to go sit down. It seems as if no one was cleaning up at all. I spent $44.75 to see a movie that was suppose to be 3D but wasn't. I asked for 3D glasses to make sure I wasn't trippin and yes, it wasn't 3D. The movie ticket was $20.66 by itself by the way. Again. NOT 3D. I was craving starburst, so I purchased the shareable minis. They were disgusted. Gave those to a homeless man at Sonic on Tobacco Road because I didn't want them going to waste. My nachos with jalapeños and large Pepsi I enjoyed. I even saw someone I knew there. I was supposed to sit in seat 9 but sat in sit 8 which I think was broken but that was my fault ‍. The money I spent on food and drink I should have kept. I think I was just in this mindset of "it's the movies! Have something to snack on." However, the movie I went to go see was Guardians of the Galaxy 3. I've seen the first two and this was even better. Even though Gemora was not apart of the team. This movie help me through something I'm dealing with personally. Watching it, I was crying because there is always someone that thinks they created you and then tries to tell you you're not good enough, there's someone else. Rocket was created to be loving, but he was also smart and even smarter than his "creator" (spoiler alert). It was nice to finally see and hear his story. And it's a very touching one at that. What this movie spoke to me is that love endures till the end. No matter what. Shout out to God dying on that cross. I feel like He was playing a part in me going to see this movie. I was looking forward to see Scream 6 but choosing to watch The Guardians of the Galaxy was a greater choice. read more

Regal is showing its age with all the seats having its plastic leather (pleather) rubbing off and some recliner seats we sat in not working. My husband and I, however, love watching adventure movies, such as all the Marvel and DC movies, on the big screen. We make it a point to go there every time one is released. We have discovered that IMAX movies are extremely loud and would damage our hearing if we didn't wear noise-canceling earbuds. Additionally, the bang we got for our buck did not justify the price we paid for it. The seats were only rockers and not recliners and other than speakers surrounding us and blasting our eardrums, we did not experience any other special effects (seats vibrating, etc.). We did get a well-made metal large popcorn pail. Was that what made the online purchase price go up from $36.86 (Superman movie the week before) to $57.48 (Fantastic Four: First Steps IMAX movie yesterday) for our senior matinee tickets? We did have excellent customer service at the Concession Stand, and was warmly greeted by the ticket checker/taker at the door, however. And, although the seats we have been sitting in are worn, the entire theater was very clean. Kudos to the staff for making the best out of a dated facility. read more

Love going to the movies and the Regal is a great spot. They're often showing specials there. I recommend going on Tuesdays when tickets are cheaper. You can even buy tickets online. I find the popcorn at the concessions fresh and they do it right by layering the butter. I love the reclining seats but I do believe they still have some without the reclining seat as we went for national movie day and the room we were in had the regular seats so it wasn't assigned seating and first come first serve. read more

I'm not one for reviews but just warning you, i came here because im new to town and the other bigger theatre didn't have the movie i wanted to see, but i ended up paying $32 total for one ticket, medium drink, and medium popcorn. Felt like it's s been enough times that I've come back and had a postIve experience so I can update this review. Most recently I came to watch Bad Boys For Life. They seem to have a better handle on the Cheetos popcorn situation. However, 2 of the 4 times I've been back they were out and showed no interest in refilling the Cheetos popcorn. It seems small, but if you've had it, you'd understand the addiction. I think they need to be better on checking tickets, I've rarely seen someone out front checking tickets. Maybe that's because it's s reserved seating?? I am looking into the all you can watch movie club for $18 per month. If you go twice, you get your money back. And you get discounts on concessions. I watched "Don't Breathe 2" it was really good. Only giving this place 3 stars because they don't tell you that you can't purchase tickets when you walk up to the window. It is a wonder to behold and a joy to take in. The ticket window is out front, like most places, and the food ranges from boxed candy to popcorn to burgers. I will mention that the team I have encountered is always friendly. Also, though I have not taken advantage of it there is a party room for a small group to rent out. Called this location to get a refund but they never answer their phone. Went in person to get a refund and they told me it was a corporate issue. The manager also told me it was my bank that needed to fix the problem; I had already talked to my bank prior to walking in. Even though I finally got my refund back two weeks later from corporate, this location has terrible customer service, which is why I felt the need to change my rating. I am so thankful to have bought my tickets online. When we arrived, the line was outrageously long. Because we had the tickets already bought, we went straight to the concession line. This took a good 20 minutes to get up to order. When it's finally our turn, the icee machine is down. My kiddo was incredibly unhappy and all they could do was shrug and say they don't know when it'll be up. Both machines. Wow. The employees obviously didn't want to be there. They were rude and short. What seemed to be the manager, kept walking back and forth looking at their screens. Not exactly helping. It was just all sorts of unorganized and a disappointment. The actual theater was nice and clean. It was easy to locate our seats, and everyone actually sat where they were suppose to. No complaints there. No, just no. Get back into your car and go to Riverwatch Cinema or Evans Cinema instead. The level of service at Riverwatch and Evans surpasses this dump. Regal has much work to do in Augusta. The employee turnover is a revolving door. They don't hold their problem employees accountable when there's an issue because they are desperate to keep whatever help they can even if it is just a warm body. The manager just gives excuses when you tell him about it. Concessions are not very good and too much for what you get. Repairs need to be done in bathroom constantly Since going to the movies is a total experience and you aren't going to do it all the time with the family because it can be expensive, go where you will have a great time. Regal - you might want to update your info on Yelp! I got to the theater a little after 11. The app reflected "open". The lady in the ticket booth was setting up, so I watched her for a bit. As I stood there, she made no effort to acknowledge that I was standing there. It wasn't until I asked for tickets that she said they were not open and won't open until 30 minutes before their first showing and that would be at 1130a. Signage could be a little more prominent. The seat number is fine on the seat, but you have to look behind you near the floor to see the row letter. It's been years since I've been to this theater. Glad to see they upgraded to reserved & reserved seating. read more

This is my 5th visit where they don't have cheetoh popcorn. If I ask if they can make more, I'm always told no.

The reclining seats were a positive. Big screen with good working sound and clear 3 D. They need to hire more employees. 15 minute wait to buy tickets.. 5 more to get into the door, only one person checking tickets. We had no time to stand in the HUGE line for popcorn. This place is absolutely atrocious. We waited in the concession line for 20 minutes. Employees are both taking orders and payment and preparing the food. That's inefficient and seems unsanitary, too. What can you say it is Regal. I love that they finally got with the European idea and implemented assigned seats and reclining seats in some of the theaters. I think it has been proven to prevent less disruption during previews and during movies when late-comers fumble in the dark looking for a seat. This particular Regal also has a small bar to the side for patrons who want to relax a bit before a show and on the other side they have a small waiting area with games. In my opinion, you get a little more experience with the IMAX 3D, but the justification of cost is a point to ponder unless you prefer that up close and personal feel of the cinema experience. I noticed that when a movie has ended the managers are helping out the employees prepare for the next show, which I thought was cool. Now, I would not actually have thought about a legitimate economic theory when it came to popcorn and candy sales until I heard a presentation in class on The Decoy Effect. I will still watch movies at the theater, but I am passing on the popcorn and the high fructose sugar water(I mean soda/pop). If the queue is too long at the front to purchase your ticket, head inside and you will find a couple of ticket machines (kiosks) that will dispense your ticket in a timely manner with not long waiting. read more

Before there was Riverwatch there was Regal. While I prefer Riverwatch I have been visiting Regal more lately as it is closer and often there are earlier and cheaper showings. I don't visit the bar and Irrely visit concessions. When I do visit concessions they move the line fairly quickly. I do wish I could pour my own butter but they do a good job of hooking the popcorn up like I like it. I don't like using public bathrooms so I don't even know what they look like, if they're in service or clean. Since the changes, I think the movie experience is much improved. I think the seats are a tad bit smaller than Riverwatch and not quite as comfy but they do the trick. I think the only thing I wish they had was coffee. Don't ask my why but I like sipping on coffee while I watch a movie. That's just me though. read more

I recently went to see Avengers: Endgame and that was amazing, but besides the point of the review. Overall the theater was clean and the seats were comfortable. My friend and I bought our tickets online so we were able to skip the ticket line and go in with the app on the phone. The few staff members we came across were friendly and we skipped the concessions for a good reason. Went to the movies tonight for the 6:30pm showing of the new Star Wars movie. My husband and I have been to this theater a couple of times before tonight. Tonight wasn't the best though. First thing that was horrible were the bathrooms. There are 6 stalls and 2 were so bad that no one went in them. The second thing that was horrible was the temperature in the theater. We took our seats and right away I told my husband it is really hot in here. You would think a theater would be cold and relaxing. Tonight it was hot, I even took my jacket off right when we walked in and it never cooled down. Also our seats that we picked.... well someone else was sitting in them. We told them that they were our seats, but they too had the same seats. So instead of sitting on their lap for the seats we paid for, we just sat in the empty seats next to them. Movie was great. Theater was a disappointment. We will just go to Riverwatch next time. read more

Overall it's a nice cinema theater. The theaters have reclining leather seats that are nice and comfortable. You can purchase assigned seating. There is a bar to purchase spirits and beverages. I have two cons. Buying advance tickets for a major movie release weekend can be a hassle. It was only one movie attendant handling a movie showing for a major action movie when it should have been multiple attendants. This poor individual had to scan everyone's ticket as well as hand out 3D glasses. The line didn't have any form and it was a bit chaotic. The other con is the concession line. It's a long wait. My advice is to get to the theater early to get your movie snacks before showtime. This particular movie theater seems to be the popular choice in town so expect it to be crowded. read more

I have never been to this Theater in Augusta and bought tickets for me and my parents to see Avatar in 3D. This is one of the dirtiest theaters I have ever been too in my life. We got there and were told that they had run out of 3D glasses and that they would bringing some out. We waited 5 minutes and someone brought a tray of unclean 3D glasses which was surprisingly, I mean they didn't even wipe them down. Several families including us were using sanitizer and cleaning their own glasses. Every IMAX i've been too in the past gave us glasses in the plastic in the past, so this was a disgusting surprise. That was warning #1. Once we got into the theater this was not IMAX IMAx this screen is a smaller IMAX. The seats are very uncomfortable and extremely close. There were a couple families around us that were coughing which was outside the theaters control but we left before the movie started due to the seats being so small and the movie being over 3 hours long, dirty glasses that we cleaned. We went to the customer service desk to get a refund and waited 20 minutes and the manager never came. Seriously 20 minutes!!! I finally decided to leave and call corporate about the experience and leave this Yelp review. This is a terrible theaters and should be avoided at all costs. read more

Half the time the concession lines are backed up which is understandable but they move so slow like there's no care in the world. I was impressed with the new food and drink options to remain competitive with the River Watch Cinemas. I ordered the chicken fingers and they were very tasty. I also ordered a beer which was pricey in my opinion, especially since they wouldn't let you mix beer that was on tap. What was most disappointing was that it took the theater 50 minutes to turn off the overhead lights after the movie had started! It took me complaining to management 3 separate times for them to turn them off and they didn't apologize or offer a free popcorn or tickets or anything. That's literally half the movie with the lights on!!!! Unacceptable! I will not be returning. Two stars because the seats were comfy and they were the only ones showing the movie in town.
