Great staff here. Theater hasn't changed much since the '80s. The smell everyone talks about seems to be gone? It was pleasant enough. I miss my Alhambra Regal recliners though. Once you go recliner, you can never go back! The seats here leave a little something to be desired. But I guess it'll have to do. Way better experience than Corvallis AMC. Sometimes low expectations are good because you find yourself pleasantly surprised. This older Regal Theater has friendly employees. I'm not sure why past Yelpers didn't like this theater, and thankfully I didn't experience any mysterious smells. I was pleasantly surprised overall, particularly given how low my expectations were going in. I saw the final Downton Abbey movie in this smaller, older-generation theater, along with other local fans, and I definitely appreciated the old fashioned "hello" when I arrived, from the staff, and the "thank you" when I left. The seats were comfortable, upgraded probably in recent times, the theater was bigger than I expected, the bathrooms clean and notably the employees had a good attitude and a sense of humor (e.g. their early Halloween decor.). The smell is unbearable. I literally just walked into Theater 1 and the smell hit me like a ton of bricks. It smells like a mixture of a porta-potty and cigarettes. I've resorted to shoving my face into my popcorn to try to distract myself from the smell, and even that isn't working. At this point the popcorn is doing more heavy lifting than the theater's ventilation system. We spend all this money on tickets and food and I can't even enjoy the movie because the stench is fighting for the lead role. Please do something--air fresheners, plug-ins, an exorcism... anything. read more

Reading some of the earlier reviews of this theater I can safely say there have been many improvements weather it be staff or general management the ambiance and hospitality was 4 out of 5 stars hands down. The man taking tickets was extremely friendly and I even sat with him for a couple minutes and talked about Beetlejuice two. We brought our one year old daughter because we have no family or money for babysitters and sometimes parents just need to get out of the house. She started crying so I took her out in the hall to try and get her to go to sleep, the ticket punch guy came by and we exchanged friendly words. The theater was clean and my wife told me she couldn't hear our daughter crying out in the hall so good soundproofing. Overall good experience even though I had to cut it short. read more

The group next to me was being extremely loud and I asked her to quiet down and she continued to try to get me to go outside and fight her ( I'm 17 and she was 30) I reported her to the employees and explained the whole situation and then they told me that I was the one instigating it and that we were the ones that had to move. I pre bought these tickets a week ago so excited for this movie and the treatment I got from the staff and how they treated the situation was disrespectful and completely ruined the experience. read more

Is it the ritz...nope...but staff were friendly and the popcorn awesome! Apparently, it matters what time of the day you go because I read other reviews here and that wasn't my experience during the day. Not a good theatre. You can hear people in the lobby talking during the movie. The guy who scans e-tickets decided he was not even going to try to scan ours from Fandango. He told us to wait in line at the concessions, which caused us to be late for the movie's start time. They inexplicably let a couple with a 2 year-old see the 9:45 PM showing of Joker. Then did nothing as the baby cried (shocking I know) during most of the movie. There was spilled popcorn in the lobby that was there for who knows how long, and the floors were sticky. All in all, it's just a horrible experience, and I recommend no one goes there. To the owner who responded to this, I would rather pee glass than step foot into your theatre. read more

More bad news if you want to go and see a movie here, unrelated to the various smells, lighting, comfortabiloty, and food. The staff is poorly trained teenagers mostly whom lie. The managers are also unable to adequately do their jobs and lack common knowledge pertaining to their theater location. Steer clear of this one, I, myself, will be taking my business elsewhere, as well as suggesting family, friends, and others do the same, where the staff are better trained and the managers are adequately informed on their theater policies. read more

We had free movie passes for this theater which is why we visited Albany to go to the movies. It's a little older but the theater we went into to see Love Simon was clean with seats in good repair. The staff was friendly on the way in and on the way out. We didn't buy anything so I cannot speak to the prices but I'd come back here for sure and I definitely recommend Love Simon for anyone that wants to see a gay movie that actually has a happy ending!! (That like never happens in gay movies.. ever.) read more

Movies are a huge part of my familys life. We mostly go to the Salem theaters but when we do come to this one, it isnt the worst. When its super busy, it's almost impossible to walk through 5 rows of people waiting in line for snacks, seems like they only clean out the theaters at the end of the day, and there is no stadium style seating. The stadium style seating is what bothers us most. Still a good place to catch a movie... Or hepatitis haha -__- read more

Come on, I know concessions are notoriously expensive but, 20 bucks for two cokes and pop corn? Plus this theater smells like a portable toilet. Way understaffed. It just seems if I'm spending 47 bucks I should get some lube...because even the seats suck read more

It's an older theatre and quite dark inside because of that. But the service was great and I thought the movie was fine. No issues with focus or sound or anything else. I think the last time I was in this theatre was in 1981? to see E.T. read more

Films are out of focus and poorly lit. Three times this summer for major releases and they are out of focus. I'll be heading to Carmike.

Waiting outside in line in the rain for Star Wars. It seems silly when the theaters inside are empty. It seems bad business when everyone outside could be buying overpriced concessions. Poor business especially considering how overpriced it is to begin with. read more
