As I left my twenties behind, I realized it was time to start taking care of myself. I emailed Hoover Fitness and set up a meeting with the owner. He sat down with me, evaluated my weak body, and helped formulate a plan for me. I chose to have personal training for the first six weeks. Having never been to the gym, I need someone to show how to work all of the machines... seriously. The owner couldn't have been nicer and eased my into my new routine. Hoover Fitness was the exact opposite of everything I had feared about gyms. The staff is overly friendly and helpful, it's not a meat market, the prices are crazy low, and it's never too crowded. If the location is remotely convenient for you, Hoover Fitness is a no brainer.

Then..I found Eng1ine Fitness through a virtual challenge, and I am SO glad I did. I had been looking for a gym that focused on nutrition accountability because that's what is hardest for me! The trainers are awesome, and check up with you, giving you that motivating push on days you might have woken up ready to give up. I am doing a challenge through them, currently on Week 2, Day 1, and I remember the other day I woke up ready to give into my usual "giving up". Had I not seen Chris's message of a motivational quote to keep going, I probably wouldn't have made it to week 2! They have been checking in with me consistently, answering any questions I had, which didn't give me time to want to "give up". If anything, it motivated me more, to keep going! I have lost 11 lbs in my FIRST week with Eng1ine Fitness and I still have 3 more weeks to go of this challenge! If you're looking for a gym where they truly care about you reaching your goals, and motivate you to reach them, this is it! Also, don't let your location stop your goals! I am doing this challenge living 5 hours away, completely virtual. They can help you reach your goals no matter where you are, just like they are currently helping me. Thanks Eng1ine Fitness! Y'all are awesome!
