I have been trying to reach the owners (the Weirs) for over a month to get some resolution on damage their cleaner caused in my home. She spilled bleach in our master bedroom, and it is looking like we will have to replace our wall-to-wall carpeting upstairs. I communicated right away with calls and emails and only got two responses which seemed intended to allow them to stall for time. I have been incredibly nice and understanding up to this point, but it is clear they intend to ignore me completely until I go away. I won't go away. I'll be filing in small claims court soon. Interestingly, the Colorado Secretary of State has informed that Refreshing Maids is in delinquent status at this time. First they messed up my appointment booking so I was hesitant to continue... Even though I was extremely hesitant I went through using this cleaning service which I now regret. They missed a ton of spots I asked them to clean. I scheduled a move out clean for a 1 bedroom which had no furniture. Should have been easy to do in 2 hours. The cleaners also turned my heat up over 80 degrees and spiked my electric bill. Not only did I waste $200+ on this cleaning company but they now caused me to spend a ridiculous amount on my electric bill. DO NOT USE this company go else where. I wish I would have spent my $200+ elsewhere. HORRIBLE SERVICE, CLEAN AND NOW IM PAYING MORE IN ELECTRIC BECAUSE OF THE CLEANERS, I'm one VERY angry customer!!!! On one hand, they were great. The ladies did a solid job on cleaning our apartment for a move out, they were very nice, and worked quickly to get it done. On the other hand, they were late (but it was their last job of the day, so I definitely get it), and they forgot to thoroughly clean the stovetop, which my landlord later wanted to charge me for. Similar experience to Jaime's below. This company is an absolute nightmare. I do not say this lightly. I too called and was instructed to book an appointment online. So I booked. I did not receive a confirmation e-mail, so I tried phoning them - a total of 9 different times (only one call was returned - by a call center in Chicago. NOT one word from James Weir (the owner). I literally had to speak to him through the call center. Ok, so I booked my appointment. No confirmation. After my numerous calls to both the business and the call center to receive confirmation - the woman in Chicago informed me the team would be 30 min late. Well, they never showed. Again, I called and called with zero response. I even drove to both the locations listed on Yelp and Google to speak with the owner. One is an apartment building and the other is a PO box. Long story short - I'm now being charged a considerable sum by my building as I booked this company with the hopes that they would provide services in exchange for currency. Boy was I mistaken! If you can't handle your booking system, change it. If you can't honor your own bookings - go out of business. To think after all of the time and effort I incurred, the owner would not even return my phone calls. (I left voicemails directly and messages through the call center.) Edith and Stephanie were prompt, friendly, and did an amazing job cleaning my house. My wife and I have tried unsuccessfully to get rid of the twenty-year-old stains we found in the shower when we moved in five years ago. I don't know what chemical magic Edith and Stephanie used (or if they're just that much stronger and more determined than me!), but they made the shower look new. The rest of the house looked great too, but the shower really highlighted the difference between professional cleaners and amateurs like me and my wife! Refreshing Maids was just here. It is the first time that we have used their services. This is just a short note to say what a nice professional job they did with our home. I work from my home so quick, clean and efficient means a lot to me. Before the cleaning team of two even arrived, I received several confirmations regarding the day, time and areas needing service. On the day of the cleaning, the team asked me where to start, where to focus and off they went. Love that! I had to leave a bit into the service so I checked the completed work to that point and it was on track. I came back to a nicely cleaned home. After the service, I received a call to confirm that the service was completed to my satisfaction and for any feedback to give the team. In this day where coming close to reasonable customer service seems challenging, Refreshing Maids did a very nice job from start to finish. I will happily use the service again! BTW, the RM is insured, use their own products (they used my vacuum which I prefer), charge by the number of rooms not by hour so I know what I am paying for the service and check the backgrounds of their teams. read more

I'm not sure that paying nearly $300 for 2.5 hours of cleaning my 1000 sq ft home was significantly better than another cleaning company that only charged me $60, but I did add "extras" of deep cleaning the bathrooms and an oven cleaning. I would likely use them again, due to ease of scheduling online but I would probably skip on the extras. read more

Two girls came. They were very professional. They made no exception! They used "comet" and "furniture polish", (which I asked for). Other services used a very light duster. It was so used up. Bathroom was done a little,not using anything to disinfect. My floors "sparkled" as did everything in my home! These folks took no shortcuts. They were fast and efficient. It lifted my mood 100%. Before getting Refreshing Maids to clean my house I was incredibly skeptical. I was embarrassed that I couldn't handle working, taking classes, and keeping my house clean. After having Edith and Stephany come and clean my house I was no longer embarrassed. They cleaned my house in a few hours better than I personally could have in two days. I have to choose what I spend my money on wisely, and having them come in monthly is a wise choice (I wish I could have them come in more often). They are very thorough and very nice (a few minutes late, but I can completely overlook that based on how great of a job they did). Our business relationship with Refreshing Maids started out mediocre and went downhill from there. The first cleaning my girlfriend and I scheduled with them, they were an hour late with no call to let us know, and did a passable job of cleaning our house. We both work which means we don't have a lot of time to call around to maid services. So the next time we needed a cleaning done, we gave Refreshing Maids another chance. They didn't show up, and my girlfriend found a cancellation email in her inbox, sent that morning. Two days later they called on an actual phone to reschedule for the following week, but we did not take them up on it as we had a guest coming who is allergic to cats, so we'd already had to clean the house ourselves. After all this we gave them a third chance. Our landlord had scheduled an inspection of the house, and we had reason to believe she was looking for trouble. Because of our busy schedules, we made the unwise decision to engage with Refreshing Maids for a third time. This time they didn't even bother cancelling. We got a no-show with no call. When we called their office they said they would try to "find their team". We never heard from them again. After spending our Friday evening after work deep-cleaning the entire house 'til midnight, we are finally done giving them any more chances. This was my first time using this company and I have to say I'm pretty disappointed. My house was relatively clean before they came, because I wanted them to clean specific things and areas before my surgery. I booked a deep clean for a 2 bedroom but only needed them to clean 1 so I was hoping they would concentrate on the other things. I wanted the cobwebs taken down (which was listed as part of the service),-and baseboards wiped down, and I asked specifically for them to be taken care of. Not one cobweb or baseboard was touched and I can't clean it. Basically they swept/mopped around the furniture not bothering to move my coat each to clean under it, so when I moved it there was a bunch of dirt and rocks left behind. There is still dog hair everywhere. I have no idea how long they were here for but it couldn't have been that long. I was trying to save myself time and pain but in the end it was a waste because I had to re clean it anyway. When I called the company to tell them not to add a tip and explain why, I was told the supervisor would be advised. I haven't heard anything from anyone. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone, unless you just want a sweep and mop. read more

Refreshing Maids attracted us because they had flat fees. I got other quotes from other maids that drastically increased once they came out to look at our house - which was annoying because the bottom part of my house is mostly unfinished. I also like the online booking, very easy and convenient. They sent a team of 2 and did a great job cleaning our house, the team was professional and courteous. They were thorough and did little extra things like organize my baby daughter's shoes to all point in the same direction. They also cleaned a lot of things I feel like I've been scrubbing at for years and couldn't get off myself! I would have rated them 5 stars but the team was late (the booking was 10-11am and they came at like 11:20, which isn't a terrible thing because the booking told us to give them an hour leeway for arrival), and the email address did not respond quickly to inquiries. I had a coupon code and it was not applied even though I emailed 2-3 times asking them to confirm that they would apply it. When I realized I had been charged the full amount I notified them and they did respond immediately at that time and issued a credit. It was easy to navigate, they had a live chat option to answer all my questions, and I was able to book easily with their online form. The professionalism and great customer service of their website carried over to the actual cleaning. I booked a deep clean and boy, did my house need it. The two-person team showed up at 8:00 am exactly and were fantastic. They scrubbed everything! The blinds were wiped down. My stove top has never looked better. Even the vacuum lines on the carpet were perfect and even. And as an over-the-top sweet touch, they even made up my daughter's doll bed. The two people, a brother-sister team, worked diligently for just about 3 hours. I felt very comfortable with them in my home. And if I wasn't completely convinced they were my new monthly cleaning service, they left us some chocolates with the cleaning services checklist. Don't use this service. Booked a cleaning online and no one ever showed despite receiving several email confirmations and reminders throughout the week leading up to the appointment time. I sent them several emails to find out what happened and have yet to receive any sort of reply. I've used this company a couple of times before and they did show up on time. My place was sufficiently cleaned but each time I ordered different levels of service and found absolutely zero effect on the end result. For example, you can pay around $30 extra for a "deep clean" of your apartment - which includes things like cleaning behind/under furniture. None of that was done and the result was no different from the basic service, which is not cheap. I only used them because booking online is so convenient, but it is no longer worth it. Overall a huge waste of time and money. Just look at the most recent reviews of this company from this year; it appears to be going seriously downhill.
