Hard working ladies behind the counter whipping up good food at a decent price. Torta is $8.49, tacos are only $2 asada fries $10. Everything looks good here but I stick to the asada tacos. Tacos are bigger than a standard street taco with plenty of meat no gristle and seasoned right. The mild salsa is actually mild and flavorful so I can stomach it. I don't come this way very often but when I do it's a treat.

My last trip driving to LA, I stopped at the ARCO just off the freeway in far north Fresno. Now I…read morefind out that it's closed, grrrrr. So this time, we stopped off here. This ARCO is far enough off the freeway to be missed, so it has better prices than others catching 99 drivers. Including the one on Fresno Ave where we stopped on our way back. It's much older than the one that was on Herndon Ave. I like ARCO, but I gave this one three stars instead of four. Its AM/PM has the normal things, or at least it's set up for that. We were going to have our dinner meal with AM/PM food (yeah, we're high class, all right). At 6pm, they had almost nothing available. Most AM/PMs have lots of hot food for purchase at great prices. This AM/PM had great prices, but the pickins were slim. I had a chicken burrito that was kinda bleah. At least we convinced our girl to eat that smoked ham & chicken sandwich, and she ate the whole thing. And they do have those monster glasses to put your Coke into. Oh well, it's ARCO, home of low gas prices.

I'm currently at Enzo's Table and ordered an almond croissant specifically warmed. When it was…read moreserved, it was completely cold--not lukewarm, but cold to the touch. I took one bite, realized it hadn't been warmed, and politely asked if they could warm it for me. The staff member told me that, for health and safety reasons, they could not reheat it after I had taken a bite. I completely understand and respect that policy. However, in that case, I asked that they simply provide a new croissant, warm it, and give me what I originally ordered and paid for. Instead of correcting the order, the employee became argumentative, refused to replace or properly warm the croissant, and repeatedly insisted that it had already been warmed. Since it was quite obviously cold, I opened the croissant and told her that I wasn't going to eat it and she was welcome to feel it herself to verify that it was cold. She declined. I then asked for her name so I could address the situation with management. She refused to provide it. Because she would not identify herself, I informed her that I was going to take a photo so management could identify the employee involved and address the interaction appropriately. The issue isn't simply a cold croissant. Mistakes happen, and I would have been perfectly satisfied if the order had simply been corrected. My concern is the refusal to provide what I ordered, followed by arguing with me about whether the pastry was warm and then refusing to identify herself when I asked to speak with management. I hope management can address this and provide additional customer-service training so that a very minor and easily corrected issue doesn't escalate unnecessarily in the future. Shout out to Ginger for noticing the issue and going above and beyond and making it right!

Luckily we didn't need to drive far before we spotted this carniceria. Its parking lot was pretty full with many cars coming and going, which indicated that it was open. The store sold a variety of meat and snacks, much as what you'd expect from any other carniceria. But most people were here for the taqueria portion - you could get a box of cooked meat to go for ~$13-17 per pound, which was a pretty good deal. There were some tables inside the taqueria, but they were slightly dirty, and most people were just taking their food to go. We got a few quesadillas to share. They were huge and stuffed with well-seasoned chicken breast meat, and came with sides of rice and beans, or salad and avocado. The free salsa here was SPICY, and my mouth burned for a bit after consuming it. But overall the food was excellent and we left full and happy.

I had a dinner meeting here and we wanted to try different items, so we all shared. We ordered three sandwiches; the American Graffiti, The Clubber, and the Prosciutto panini. I'm not a fan of prosciutto, but this sando was surprisingly great! I loved the toasted bread, burrata, and the pesto was delicious. The Clubber is an elevated turkey club sandwich with peppered bacon and roasted garlic herb mayo. The American Graffiti was my fave and is roast beef, turkey, horseradish, pepperoncinis, chedder, and veggies on a soft hoagie. Amazing textures and flavors all on a soft bun! We also enjoy some flatbread pizza and few glasses of wine.
