My first Reformhause experience in Switzerland. Pretty small compared to what I'm use to, but had everything I needed today. Big variety of spices, love the fresh vegetable and fruit section! Staff is friendly and knowledgable. read more

Built in 1487, Zeughauskeller is a former arsenal turned traditional Swiss restaurant. It sits just…read moreoff Bahnhofstrasse and is a popular stop, so it's always pretty busy - highly recommend making a reservation online in advance. Generally expect a shared table. Service was friendly and happy to make recommendations - the potato salad was as perfectly mustardy as the wiener schnitzel was crispy. Plenty of beers to try as well. Enjoy the ambiance of the old building alongside the authentic Swiss food!
Yelp Review 2026 #48:…read more Housed in an old armory, Zeughauskeller is a popular restaurant for mostly tourists. It does get pretty busy so, reserving a table would be the smart thing to do. Unless, you walk in during odd hours. Swiss food is not popular for being tasty and having bold flavors. Unless you intend to just eat cheese and chocolate, Swiss food is rather forgettable. Highly influenced by German cuisine, expect things like wienerschnitzel, bratwurst, pork shank, etc. Sausage with Potato Saiad: All their sausage is served with potato salad but you can sub it out with French fries or rosti. The sausage was nice. The potato salad was surprisingly good. 4/5 Cordon Bleu: You get a choice between veal and pork. I chose pork. The description on their menu says "tender pork escalope, filled with ham and SPICY Gruyère cheese, fried crispy". There was no spice at all. LOL. The ham was probably 2 thin slices. There are other Swiss restaurants in Zurich that makes better cordon Bleu. 3/5 The service was quite slow. We waited for our server to come over. They sent the only English-speaking server to handle like 7 tables. It's definitely a one and done. Come here for the vibes, not for the food.

The fried chicken is much more lightly breaded than in the U.S., but I kind of like it. It was tasty and my favorite. The fried shrimp on the other hand had way too much breading, you could barely find the shrimp. Chicken nuggets were the same as everywhere else in the world. There are some interesting sauces. The Curry Sauce is a bit like the sauce served with currywurst, a German dish. Pommes-frites (translation: french fries) sauce tastes a lot like ranch dressing. I did not like any of these sauces, and will probably stick to ketchup and BBQ sauce next time.

My family wanted to try Swiss cheese dishes during our time in Switzerland, and Raclette Factory…read moreprovided the perfect introduction to Swiss cuisine that we were looking for. As it was our first time eating raclette, we asked our server to walk us through the menu. Lily was exceedingly helpful in explaining the differences in cheeses and their flavors, and she was also very attentive and checked in on us throughout the meal. I noticed that her welcoming demeanor was also shared by her colleagues who were waiting on the other tables around us. My family took Lily up on her recommendations, and we ordering one Klara and one Willi, each with a side of sausages, as well as one original tarte flambé and one vegi tarte flambée. The food was all very delicious!! My personal highlights from the meal were the sausage dipped in the Willi cheese along with the onions and potatoes that were served with the dish. The tartes also had very thin, yummy crusts topped with raclette cheese. The side of pickles provided a tangy contrast to the rest of the meal which I liked. We ended our meal with a warm chocolate cake and lemon sorbet. I'm not really one for alcohol, so I found the vodka in the sorbet to be a bit too strong for me. However, the chocolate cake with the jam and vanilla ice cream was very good and had just the right amount of chewiness. I wish that I could replace my local Cheesecake Factory with a Raclette Factory instead so that I could enjoy Swiss cheese melted over bread, sausages, and potatoes all the time. Oh well, perhaps it's just another excuse to visit Switzerland again one day :)

While the line might be intimidating because there's always a long line out the door it goes really fast. You can also get a draft beer next-door, and there are plenty of tables in between the buildings that are shaded even on a hot day. The currywurst was actually my favorite, even though I generally do like bratwurst and overall I find the food here to be much less heavy than any place in Germany we went the year before. It's also a pretty fast meal so if you're in a rush, it is right in between some major tourist sites so you can grab a quick bite to keep going.

The courteous older gentleman waiter is busier than a one legged man at a butt kicking contest.....and winning! There's a daily lunch special menu, which my lunch date ordered from and wasn't too impressed. I got my usual pizza, the Quattro Stagioni, which is my litmus test for any new pizza place I'm trying out. Was pretty on the mark. Enjoyed every bite of it. Definitely a good deal for 18.50 chf. This place is not very big and gets super crowded at lunch time during the week packed with suits that work in offices nearby. Best to call ahead and make a reservation. We got the "walk in" table by the entrance which can get a bit drafty.

The Singapore Noodle is as good as I've had it anywhere, including in my years in Hong Kong where the dish was invented. The other dishes are all well-made, though often have some tilt towards local tastes or ingredient availability. There's nothing wrong with this, as Chinese cuisine is a great base for fusion. Even Singapore Noodle is itself a fusion dish: Hong Kong chefs experimenting with curry powder from India. This restaurant is not a huge step above McDonalds in cost, and the dining areas are adult-sized, cleaner, not plasticky. But not a date place. I would be happy dining at any of the ones I've been to once a week on a late night after work, for instance. Some of the other reviews here seem tetchy: sure, a bad manager here, an inexperienced worker there. You see the same in places in Zurich that are CHF100 a person for dinner. One person didn't order from the menu then was trying to exchange their dish for something else? I'm sorry but I've done this and I consider it my fault, not the venue.
