From my first class, Donovan was extremely encouraging of my goals and so approachable. He's easy to talk to and is literally always open to giving you advice, tricks, and tips. Upon asking about my running form, he observed me during class and gave me maybe two minor adjustments to make and let me tell you- his recommendations made a noticeable difference right away. He knows what he's doin! Donovan's got a lot of charisma and honestly is just so energetic and easy going. Definitely trust him with all of my fitness goals because I know he's been a trainer for so many different businesses and groups of people like students, OrangeTheory, and even Equinox! He's got a clear passion for fitness, health, and helping others.

And not only has he motivated me to train again for another race, he's given so many helpful stretches and tips on proper form that I am confident that I will be much more prepared for my next race. Aside from running, he is super knowledgeable on any other fitness goal that you may have- whether you want to get stronger, fitter, or more informed on what the best forms/exercises are to meet your goal. He can do it all!

Plus, while they were closed for renovations I went to their much bigger Summerville Trolley location. If you're just looking for a regular globo gym, this is 5 stars. New equipment, improved lighting and everything is new. There are no 35lb plates, excluding and he HIIT Zone ones. They are missing the little half seat bench that you they used to have. Also the machines have less weights. If you're looking for a leg extension machine or leg curl machine, these are 200-260lbs. The good ones hit 360lbs. They have varieties of equipment, not everything is just 1 branch. I think it's mostly Matrix with some Nautilus stuff sprinkled in For those who have some specialities when they come to training, I'd say 5 stars for bodybuilders. 4 for power lifters and a generous 4 for CrossFit/hyrox folk. If you were coming to this location you ard forgiven if you don't notice all the changes. All the equipment is slick from the oils that are in new pads and equipment. They got rid of some good equipment like the T Bar Row, and then got smaller machines that allowed for more. The booty and glute room has a nice new belt squat, which shouldn't be over there is it's more quad dominant . Also, hip abductor machine but no adductor machine right next to it? They have some hip thrust equipment, from a belt hip thrust to some hip thrust elite machine with a bar. Their GHD machine is bad. You can't lock your feet/shins you. You can adjust the height, not lock yourself in. Also, they got the machine designed for short people because at maximum extension, it's too short. Now if you wonder why I knocked it down for powerlifters and those who do HIIT training, you'll either understand when you come in or you won't. I'm giving them 5 stars for what they are and what I use them for. I'm a natural bodybuilder who completes, they meet my needs. I don't do classes so can't comment on that.

s gym is honestly disappointing for the price they charge. They constantly open late, which throws…read moreoff anyone trying to stick to a morning routine. For what they cost, you'd expect consistency and better management, but that's not the case here. The equipment is fine, but definitely not worth the monthly price -- especially when you can find other gyms in the area that open on time and offer more for less. I wouldn't recommend this gym unless they improve reliability and value.

It's always clean, and the staff is consistently friendly. I also love that they have a smaller "training" room available when classes aren't in session. The instructors and workers learn your name and fitness goals. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the gym was open as much as it could be, safely. Masks were required when the city mask mandate was in effect, and group fitness classes were spaced out and limited, with online reservations. The good thing about a 24 hour gym membership is that you can go when it's less crowded and weird hours of the day. My husband and I were both able to keep up our fitness routines this way. Now, the gym is back to fully capacity and offers group fitness classes again. There's also a new turf and sled as well as a new glute machine and additional free weights, all added within the last year. All equipment is in great shape, and I've never seen a machine out of order. The cardio machines have personal viewing screens, so you can watch Netflix on the elliptical or treadmill. No matter what your fitness level is, you'll fit in at Zoo Health Club. Whether you like classes, personal training, or work out on your own, you can meet your goals here.

The trainers are motivating, and the community is very friendly and encouraging. It's worth noting that most of the members are women -- mainly middle-aged -- so men might feel a little outnumbered, but everyone is welcoming and focused on fitness. Overall, it's a great place to get in shape and be part of a positive, goal-oriented group!

I never in a million years would have expected to fall in love with working out, in a boot camp environment especially, but I have become obsessed with Burn. The trainer at this locations's name is Amos and he really is amazing. He is not at all what you would expect a trainer would be like at a boot camp. Amos is 100% encouraging, positive, and helpful while finding the perfect spot that pushes you to your limits. I have seen him modify these work outs for people with a wide variety of injuries so that every workout can be done by every person. Each workout every week (open 6 days a week) focuses on a different area of your body to target and is planned so that you can participate for most days even if you are sore. Burn is only 45 minutes but it is incredibly fast paced and before you know it, it's over and so is your workout time for the day! Burn focuses on the training of women but there are a few co-ed classes. They also have a free Saturday class if you are wanting to give it a try. They also offer free childcare for parents! They are usually running specials for people who want to try out Burn without fully committing such as a free two week trial as well as 8 week programs for discounted prices. Just go check this place out and see why everyone loves feeling the burn!!!!
