I cannot say enough positive things about this gym. The owner, community, trainers, workouts,…read moresupport, accountability, app, blog, nutritional guidance, supplements, etc...every aspect of exactly what you want out of a Gym/Trainer is here. They really focus on providing individual goals and guidance/accountability for your specific health and workout needs. They base their initial consultations and workouts on your needs and goals by multiple conversations, taking your health history, and utilizing modern scientific approaches to maximize your workouts to reach your goals. Then they re-evaluate to make sure you're on the right path to the goal you want and adjust accordingly. I've been a member of big box gyms, other CrossFit based groups, boxing centered group workouts, home health coaches, Beachbody workouts, and university level sports and training. And no BS, IronTribe has surpassed all of them. With the Coronavirus lockdown, these guys reacted proactively BEFORE they had to and reached out to every member and challenger in group and individual communication to discuss membership options and ask how they could help. They quickly jumped on providing ample options for at home workouts with or without equipment and even did a couple rounds of lending their equipment out to use temporarily. I've been solidly impressed. Their goal is your lifelong fitness, health, nutrition, and achieving whatever your personal goals may be. They truly operate and communicate like a family community...the business side is there, but heavily in the back seat. Support local. Support what works. I'm down 14lbs in 6 weeks and that's INCLUDING additional muscle mass weight that's been put back on...WHILE AT HOME UTILIZING THEIR WORKOUTS AND NUTRITION PLAN. Can't measure my Body Fat or BMI at home but the wife says I'm sexy again. So. As far as I'm concerned, success!!!

The trainers are so awesome and supportive. I actually injured myself the 6th week of my challenge and absolutely did not want to quit. Justin and Jessica came up with modifications so that I could continue on and still see results. I am so grateful that I found this place. I will be continuing my fitness journey here even after my initial 6 week program. You should absolutely consider this gym. You will not regret it!

The instructor was really nice and it was easy to follow. This was one of the most challenging workouts I've done in a long time! I love HyLo for the showers alone. The women's shower is a full room, with marble walls, and all the accoutrements you'd need--soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, towels, and even a scale. My only complaint is that they don't have makeup remover or any hair products in the bathroom when I'm getting ready after my workout, but I just bring what I need from home. The HY classes really work you in the cardio department. They all use a combination of spin bikes, rowing machines, free weights / kettlebells, ropes, TRX things (idk what they're called), and body weight to perform a lot of exercises in a short period of time with a lot of energy. Similar to what I assume some crossfit classes include. The LO classes use a special board to use your body weight and weighted poles or rubber bands to strengthen your body using your own body weight. This is most similar to pilates, barre, or yoga. All of which I'm terrible at, as I have the upper body strength of a newborn baby. Both classes totally kick my butt and make me feel like I've really worked my body hard! Highly recommend!

We selected this day for my first time (read: I am super out-of-shape, do not go to the gym, etc.) because it was low on cardio, focused on different stations of strength-based work, and easy to be modified. For example, if you move to a station where you are to lift weights, you could select 10 pound weights or 30 (or whatever) that is best suited for your needs. I wasn't nervous about coming because I've been to gyms of similar formats before. I was weary of embarrassing my friend in front of her other friends and coaches due to my lack of physical ability, but she assured me that no one would be judgmental and everyone would be encouraging. She was exactly right. Even better, no one seemed to give a rat's ass about what I was doing. And I mean that in a positive way. How nice to be able to work out and not feel like anyone is looking at you. That said, the coaches did keep an eye on me, to make sure I was doing the correct format or to offer me tips and modifications when it was obvious I needed it. I really enjoyed training at F45 this week, and I wish I lived in town so I could go back more often. I might want to check with the facility to see if they offer packages where you can purchase like a 10-class pass or something, because then I could join my friend when I visit from out of town or am home for holidays. I highly encourage anyone in Mount Pleasant or who lives in the area of an F45 to try out a class. You will not regret it!

The trainers are motivating, and the community is very friendly and encouraging. It's worth noting that most of the members are women -- mainly middle-aged -- so men might feel a little outnumbered, but everyone is welcoming and focused on fitness. I never in a million years would have expected to fall in love with working out, in a boot camp environment especially, but I have become obsessed with Burn. The trainer at this locations's name is Amos and he really is amazing. He is not at all what you would expect a trainer would be like at a boot camp. Amos is 100% encouraging, positive, and helpful while finding the perfect spot that pushes you to your limits. I have seen him modify these work outs for people with a wide variety of injuries so that every workout can be done by every person. Each workout every week (open 6 days a week) focuses on a different area of your body to target and is planned so that you can participate for most days even if you are sore. Burn is only 45 minutes but it is incredibly fast paced and before you know it, it's over and so is your workout time for the day! Burn focuses on the training of women but there are a few co-ed classes. They also have a free Saturday class if you are wanting to give it a try. They also offer free childcare for parents! They are usually running specials for people who want to try out Burn without fully committing such as a free two week trial as well as 8 week programs for discounted prices. Just go check this place out and see why everyone loves feeling the burn!!!!
