The studio is quite industrial feeling - very large with 14 reformers - they are the balance body machines but have a wider footbar which I appreciated. I stopped in to get in a work out while in the area for work. I always know there's going to be a studio for me in DFW. There are two location for BEYOND and I got to take advantage of their first visit program - two classes for $29 even though I only got to use one class while I was there. Pleasantly surprised to know the staff does answer phones -- she called me back and answered my questions and let me know that waitlists do move and that I did have a chance to get into the class I wanted to. They have their own app which is linked to MindBody. I would go again if I were in the area - but I do want people to know it's not traditional reformer pilates and more hitt and circuit style.

I have been visiting Sessions for a few weeks and here is my honest review. Let me preface this by…read moresaying I've been doing Pilates for 2 years so I feel like I can say what I am about to say. The manager was an absolute doll. She was so hospitable and welcoming when I came to the studio for the first time. The studio is very nice and well kept. Front desk was friendly the first time, but the other times with some of the other desk staff seems a little snobby or standoffish at times. They don't offer anything other than a signature reformer class. I am coming from a studio that offers various levels of classes, so to see one class for people at all levels is slightly problematic. I'm not new to this and their classes are intense even for me. I can't imagine what it would be like for a newbie. Even as an established Pilates girl, some of the moves are not done with caution and a little carelessly and someone could seriously injure themselves. That is concerning to me as someone that values safety in any physical activity. There are no fans in the studio. It's gets clammy and a little smelly quickly depending on who you are working out next to. I've never been to a Pilates studio with no fans, so that is a little odd. Overall, I haven't connected there. I feel like you are just a number when you're there. The instructors have been nice, but they don't really connect with you if that makes sense. It feels very impersonal compared to where I'm coming from. I have a class pack here while I explore new studios, but I don't know if I'll finish them. I believe that their pricing is fair and matches the area. It is worth trying out, but if you are new to Pilates I think it would be overwhelming.

There's so many options at all times, which makes it really convenient for fitting into my constantly changing schedule. My favorite thing was that there was no initial membership fee to join unlike other studios in the area. The instructors are also very attentive and accommodating. They make sure you have the right form and are willing to work around any physical limitations. I don't think you could go wrong taking a class with any of them. My favorites are Tricia for a lower level class, Nara for an intermediate/higher level, and Julia G for the more advanced, high impact classes. I would recommend Platinum Pilates to anyone interested in pilates, no matter the experience level. I've only been to this Lewisville location and not the new McKinney one, but I'm sure that studio is great as well.

I typically take megaformer classes, but Bodybar was a fun way to switch it up.
