Not only that I had her for a post op lymphatic drainage massage. She had me stand the whole time and only worked on my incision. That is not a lymphatic massage. Besides the fact it is not even sterile to burp on me in my open wound!!!! I am still annoyed. Then she had the nerve to ask for a tip and when I did not tip her she texted to ask again! Awful all the way around! I have had lymphatic massages before her and after her and I know what they are supposed to be. Unfortunately, my husband's experience with Lisa was very different. He felt that there were too many pauses throughout the 90-minute massage, and at times it seemed like she was even falling asleep. There was also some talking going on a couple of times, and it was noticeable that the massage had to be slowed down or adjusted. Whatever the reason, my husband did not feel that he received the full 90-minute experience he paid for. He left very disappointed and said that if this had been his first visit to Ruby Spa, he probably would not have returned. We paid for a 90-minute massage, so we expected 90 minutes of consistent, attentive service. I would definitely return because Eva did an excellent job, but based on my husband's experience, there is room for improvement in consistency and attentiveness. Hopefully, the management will take this feedback seriously because we really wanted to enjoy our experience together.

This isn't a big chain with a flat screen tv in the waiting room, however, from the moment I walked in Laura radiated warmth and comfort. She introduced herself to me and asked a lot of questions to understand what my concerns were and what I needed. She made suggestions yet wasn't pushy or domineering as some of the local competitors tend to be. It was all about my personal comfort. Her studio is clean, relaxing, fragrant and the perfect space in which to get out all of the kinks. I hurt my lower back this week and it not only knocked me out of commission with my regular routine, but it made the rest of my body tight and achy because every muscle was over compensating for my aching back. Laura did such an amazing job on me, I felt like a million bucks after. On a side note, Laura practices Reiki. I am not even going to pretend to know what that is, but she said two things to me about my root & heart chakras that were so spot on that it was actually mind blowing! I asked a few times if they could soften the pressure, and eventually asked if this was actually a Swedish massage. They responded, "Yes, this is the medical massage." After I got home, I checked the website again and realized that a "medical massage" isn't even an option when booking online, so I'm not sure if there was a misunderstanding or if this is simply how they perform their Swedish massages. Even after that conversation, I had to ask on multiple occasions for the pressure to be reduced. If this was their standard Swedish massage, it was far more intense than any Swedish massage I've had before. I also noticed other reviews mentioning how intense the massages can be. I'd definitely recommend confirming exactly what type of massage you're getting and discussing the pressure level before they begin as this was not relaxing at all.

Initially, I went because it was a great way to relax and do something good for my body. A little over a year ago, my purpose changed. My husband & I wanted to get pregnant. I have some factors that make it more difficult for a women to get pregnant: hypothyroidism, PCOS, and a higher BMI. Due to these factors, I wanted to do what I could to be successful and my first thought was, MEG! I knew that reflexology was more than just a nice foot massage and after sharing my concern about fertility with Meg, she discussed what she could do for me. I would get reflexology right before I was supposed to ovulate and low and behold, the second time around I found out that I was pregnant.
