2021 VW Atlas bought new at dealership. Love the car, but it's had some significant driving issues for years. Dealerships have done basic maintenance, but never found/resolved ongoing issues. Took vehicle to Heather and she was upfront about the fact that they go above and beyond minimum requirements on vehicle upkeep. Took my Atlas in and they immediately found multiple significant issues (which luckily I'm just under the warranty limit and should be able to have done at no cost through dealership). In addition to finally getting answers on my vehicle's issues, Heather was kind enough to not charge for the vehicle overview. I recently took my (new-to-me) Crosstrek for an oil change. It was the car's first visit to Reflex. Any other place would have just done what I asked. Reflex checked 60 (!) different areas and took photos of everything so I could see and they can keep track of things, rather than relying on memory. That's more thorough than my doctor, and they do this every time. If you value your car and want to keep it in excellent condition for a long time, you need to go to Reflex. I went in for a transmission issue, they charged me $700 just for the diagnostic and told me that i needed to replace my transmission. When I went in person the next day i asked for details on the specifics on what was actually wrong with the transmission. They did not give much information other than the transmission wasn't serviced in a long time and it was "bad". I asked if they could just do a drain and fill for the transmission fluid, quoted me $900 and when i tried to agree, they declined and said "it would be better of to just sell the car". I was then really pissed and just wasted $700 on a second opinion that didn't give me any more information than i already knew. I replaced the transmission fluid and the cv axles myself for $400 and it fixed the issue. Never coming here again. read more

I wouldn't bring my car there if they offered to do the work for free. My bf and I have an rs5, brought it to have the transmission replaced. It took months, claimed they couldn't find one, then found a used one and wanted over 20k for everything. That was for a used transmission. We went to 4 other shops (one we used in the past for a transmission) and with a NEW transmission, cost with less than 14k. We drove the car in, they ripped apart the transmission and demanded over 4k for that for us to get the car back we refused to pay that inflated cost. For over 4k we can have the car ripped apart and towed out, we drove the car in. We have a warranty Co paying 14k of the cost, they wanted an extra 6k+ for their pocket. Asked for a breakdown of the bill, nothing is itemized, basically an over 20k dollar tab. So shady, disgusting. Do not bring anything to them. Also claimed car needed new pads and rotors, when brakes don't make a noise, sensor not indicating they're worn, rotors are nice and shiny, brake pads thick. They're such a rip off, avoid. I'd give no stars if I could. read more

The reason for the 1 star rating is that I do NOT appreciate having the service interval on my vehicle changed without my permission to something other than what I had explicitly stated in out visit. I have a 2001 Jetta and I had been looking around Massachusetts for a good reasonable Audi/VW repair shop but had been running into walls. I'd either find someplace that was well known but very expensive, or seemed so busy that i'd get lost in the shuffle and not get the attention for my requests and for my car that i'd want. Then I heard about Reflex Tuning and gave them a try. I have never had this quality of service in both Customer Service and Automotive service anywhere else. They know Audi's and VW's inside and out and were able to diagnosis a few problems I had just by hearing my description or taking a quick look at the car, problems I've had other mechanics spend hours trying to troubleshoot to no avail. They quoted me flat rates for certain jobs that they completed at exactly the hourly rate it would've ended up being. They were extremely reasonable with various service requests and charged me exactly what you'd expect. There's no over-inflating, and there's no bullshit. Their shop is clean and really nice, with a comfortable waiting room. The owners Douglas Pauly and Heather Zaccone are also the sole employees and are probably some of the nicest people i've met. As any VW/Audi owner can tell you, finding a genuinely good & reasonable mechanic for these cars is like finding gold. I'd suggest this place to anyone. read more

I own a 2001 VW Passat and Reflex Tuning is the only place I will let work on my car. The first 3-4 years of owning my vehicle I bounced between VW dealerships and random shops in NH and MA. None of those shops treat me with the respect and honesty that I find when working with Doug & Heather. Luckily I had a friend to recommend Reflex Tuning after a string of bad experiences at other shops about 3 years ago. Reflex has completed everything from a basic oil change, timing belt replacement, and everything in between on my vehicle. l always get a honest answer, fair price and quality work from Reflex. Reflex is hands-down the best automotive experience I have had. Quick story, I bought my 2008 Passat at Audi of Nashua and three months later, it starts to overheat. I took it to the dealer and they replaced the water pump for $750 (warranty covered $650 of it). I am not sure if I needed this as I had the same exact problem (overheating in stopped traffic). When I left the Audi of Nashua they told me I would need the coolant fan replaced soon to the tune of $1200 and it was not under the warranty they sold me. Here is where Reflex comes to the rescue: after a hot day and much undue overheating, I decided to call Reflex. I spoke to Doug and he stated that this problem is common in Jetta's and can very well be just the primary fan. He told me if he had to replace the whole thing it would be $900 but he doubted it was both fans. To make this short it was only one fan and only cost $550. Along with only charging me half of the cost of the stealership, this VW/Audi specialist shop explained everything to me. They also checked the balance of my rim for no additional cost when I inquired about a bent rim. They then found a match for me to order online (I have aftermarket rims and could not find them). Both Doug and Heather work on the cars and run the shop so you are always speaking with the tech! I have read the rave reviews about this shop and even though it is a little out of the way for me, it is worth every second of my time and more! I have referred a friend here a while back based on their reviews when he had a problem and they treated him with the same excellent service. To be honest, I am not a very trusting person but Reflex Tuning will be the only place for all of my V-Dub repairs! read more

I will take my Jetta TDI to this place from now on! I had a problem with my driver-side wiper and took it to the dealer. I was told and the printed estimate stated "The wiper transmission is stripped, needs replacement, Cost: $496.00. I also had the "low pressure" light on. I asked them to check my tires. I was told the air pressure was good and that the light wouldn't go off so it was a problem with the sensor, which would need to be replaced. But was assured that the pressure in the tires was good. I declined to have the dealer do the work. I brought the car to Reflex Tuning and they checked the wipers and determined that it was only the wiper arm that was stripped. They fixed it for $75. Oh, and the tire pressure light? They checked it and it was only the cold temperature, they filled the tires and the light went off! I LOVE THIS PLACE!! read more

I have been bringing my Cars here for a few years and I have always been treated well as a customer. These guys know their stuff and are great at troubleshooting the vaguely described issues I present them from time to time. This is, by far, the worst place I have ever brought my vehicle. Their charges are more expensive than a dealership, although they will of course tell you otherwise. As soon as you walk in the shop and see how disheveled and disorganized their shop and waiting room looks you will see my point. They don't respect their facility or their work. If you want subpar work done at exorbitant prices then enjoy. If you are considering this business, stop and go to a dealer. You will end up saving money as crazy as that sounds. I love local companies but this business has no power with warranty and car manufacturers effectively charging you dealership prices with none of the professionalism or power that dealerships can provide. I started bringing my 2004 VW Passat to Doug and Heather about 4 years ago simply out of convenience (about a 5 min drive from my apartment), but have continued to bring my car back to them due to the exceptional service they have provided. I know enough about car maintenance to get myself I to trouble, but Heather and Doug never make me feel like I am asking a dumb question, and are willing to answer everything I am concerned about without making me feel like I am imposing. They have done a great job of working with my schedule, and are always very clear about what actually needs to be done. I have gone to many other "VW" shops - including the dealer - and never has a mechanic actually dissuaded me from unnecessary repairs; I really feel like Heather, Doug and the rest of their team has their customers' best interests at heart, and aren't looking to take us to the cleaners via our wallets. I called Reflex to work on my Audi A4. They told me to come right over and I did. When I got there and tried my best to explain the problem they acted like they just didn't care. The car was not starting and I explained what I thought it might be, while admitting I know nothing. They went out took a look and told me I was wrong in my suspicions (no problem) and that I would have to bring it back. Handed me the keys and walked away. The car does not start mind you, I went out to try and push start the car myself. Unable to do it I went in to ask for some help with a push. They came out we rolled it down the hill and it did not start. Now I am on the shoulder on bypass-28, and they went back inside. I walk back up the hill and ask if they would give it another try, they said no it was too dangerous. As I walked away they said they could call a tow truck, my dime I assume, I said no thank you. Back down the hill to my car. I was waiting for a friend to come help me when one of them came down to try and start it with the key, again. As he got in there was a guy walking down the road whom I asked to give a push he did and it started right up. I thanked the kind stranger, and drove off. I hope they are not holding their breath for my appointment on Monday, The car is already being fixed for a simple relay problem. read more

After purchasing a 2000 A8L with 104K on it, I knew there were going to be some issues that needed to be fixed. I brought the car in to have the cam chain adjustment solenoids replaced and it was the start of a great relationship with Reflex. At this point there is no where else I would take my vehicle. I am pretty handy at spinning wrenches and any time I encounter something that is beyond my abilities I bring the vehicle here. Reflex has gone above and beyond all expectations every time I return. Their honesty and openness about the repairs and quality of said repairs is unequaled. Communication gets an A+ and overall I couldn't be happier. The entire staff is professional and knowledgeable.
