Said that we owed $10,000 based on the contract and attorney fees.......but would settle for the $7500, small claims maximum. Court awarded them $2380. We sent them a check by certified mail. They got the check and cashed it within 6 days of the date we mailed it. This was July of 2024. In Janaury of 2026, they filed a claim in court saying we never paid them and they want to put a claim against our house.....ummm...certified mail and cashed check? So, contract signed in 2021, never completed job and now still harassing us.
