This has the best view in Foster. Sunset is amazing, and can be admired through the large clear windows or sipping on a cocktail on the balcony. We arrived for our 7.30 booking on time and were promptly seated. Staff were very polite, warm and friendly.
It took about 30 minutes before we saw any attention. They were busy but at capacity. We waited another 30 minutes before any entrees arrived. We went with Oysters Kilpatrick, crispy duck spring rolls and tempura prawns. The entrees were tasty and simply fabulous. Great flavors and healthy quantities.
For mains we ordered the Kangaroo and the whole baby snapper. The snapper was tiny. I mean tiny like entree size. Both meals were overcooked. Would have been very tasty though, and is well complimented by great accompaniments. Produce was very fresh.
The service while very polite was very sparse. Took over an hour and half to get mains out. This was clearly visible by the overcooked meals. To there credit they did refund one of the mains unprompted as they saw that i had barely touched my Kangaroo.
I would return as there is a lot of promise and am hoping it was just a slight glitch on the night as all the locals give this place rave reviews. However we did discover a few other places that served some great affordable food. Check out Aztec for some good Mexican and friendly accommodating staff. read more
